Get my nails always with Theo..always takes care of nails very good .him and staff very nice people

I've been going here for a while and I feel lately they're not doing as good of job. I got fill and they were charging me as if I had gotten a full set and when I asked he said because my nails were long ( which they're not even long I can't stand my nails long) and I thought I would treat myself and get a pedicure, and when he was doing my pedicure, he made my toes bleed by my cuticle. Rude, customer server was the worst. The lady cut my nails short after tell her not to cut. Then the manager yelled at me because I said some thing. The chairs are old and the message don't work!!!!! Service was so bad, i didnit even finsh my ped, i was so annoyed. Place is so expensive, I dont mind paying if servers is good. But not worth the money!! If I can give a zero I will read more

Overpriced. Getting money out of you for anything. I got a nail removal & clear coat.. for $43 ??? Nail removal is $15, and clear coat ($?) with no gel, but then I also got charged extra for them cleaning my nail ?? Should cleaning your nail not be the standard process for any nail service, not an added fee ? They should be asking then, if we want them cleaned, before doing so if they're gonna add a fee. this salon! seriously my new favorite spot. the gentlemen (didn't get his name) is one of the sweetest people. i always get in right away same day no problem. a full set took less than an hour and a fill took THIRTY minutes...my nails look flawless as well so there's no sacrifice of quality here. i even had my nails on for three weeks before I came back in no chipping or breaking whatsoever. on top of everything else, it's extremely reasonably priced at $40 for a full set and $35 for a fill...you just can't find prices like that anymore and that's why I will be coming back again and again. almost didn't want to post this review out of keeping it my little secret but they deserve all the praise in the world! read more

DO NOT GET A MANICURE HERE!!! MMA WARNING! I've been getting my nails done for a long time but I usually try to stay away from getting manicures at these types of places ( just pedicures). My nail tech recently moved so I decided to get my nails done here to match the pedicure. I've always had a good experience with my pedicures so I thought it would be the same. Boy was I wrong. I was sat down by the older gentleman with glasses ( I don't know his name) in the back. I still had my old set that needed to be taken off. Normally you are supposed to soak off acrylics because this is the safest practice. This man popped off my nails with a cuticle cutter. And got mad when I said it hurt. Rest of the experience went okay until today. I found a new nail tech and is currently removing my nails. Unfortunately this salon uses MMA monomer. If you don't know, MMA is a chemical that is BANNED from being used as it is very harmful. You'll know cause when you soak your nails off, your acrylic will be very sticky and glue like. EMA is what is supposed to be used, as it is flakier when soaked off. Ladies, PLEASE do your research because there's plenty out there. read more

Horrible outcome I asked for a French manicure and pedicure with acrylic, I left with long curly toe acrylic and a messy thick mess that was supposed to resemble a French manicure. I showed reference photos just to be safe, several times. Not to mention they were all messed up, either acrylic lifting and peaking or just flat out breaking off within 7 days. I had two workers on me and it took 3 hours. I paid $150 for the worst set I've ever had. Go to encore nails, they don't take three hours to do an hour job, they serve mimosas, and will give you what you ask for, for less $. They were able to fix this mess and even laughed at the work that was done. Embarrassing. read more

They do great pedicures that are also priced well. I get my manis somewhere else because I like their work better but this is a staple for pedis. I got a fill in here once, it wasn't bad but a lady tried to charge extra for something that she didn't need to. The man in charge fixed it for me though. You need to make an appointment come and see Cathy. I did pink & white ombré short $40. Then John did my pedicure, call and schedule $20. I called and made a 6:30pm appointment for the following day. I waited like five minutes if that. Walked in, they greeted me, and I signed in. I greatly appreciated that they got my pedicure started, and then Cathy came over to get started. All in all I was there about an hour and 15 minutes, which is reasonable. The whole experience was calming, relaxing, no pressure. Yes! No pressure of sales, or to chat. Just enjoyed my experience. It is busy, but not overwhelming busy. The parking is not great, I had my husband drop me off, and pick me up. But even this will not stop me from scheduling again. This place is such a hidden gem! I am such a nitpick about hygiene and attentiveness at nail salons, some either get it or they don't. I was super fortunate to have walked in when they weren't busy (call ahead!! A lot of people writing on here about waiting forever... this is what appointment books are for) - I told them I wanted a full set, ombré style (first time trying the look!) Theo took me in first and started putting on the nails, cutting them and shaping them etc, and then an appt of his came in so Cathy (his wife) took over and finished the actual gel application. They are both extremely sweet, along with their kids. She worked efficiently, and even though one started and the other finished, they flowed flawlessly and there was no miscommunication. He did his damn thing!! He used the dremmel on my feet and I was mortified by how much skin came off. He really took his time. It was one of the best pedis I've ever gotten!! No joke!!Cathy did my daughters full set and actually she had nails on already from somewhere else and they looked so bad she said she needed a new full set rather than a fill. My daughter was sooo happy with her full set. Perfect coffin shape. Parking sucks!! When I went to leave someone was blocking my car. I had to go in and ask the other business who was in the car. Listen to the reviews! This place is amazing at pedicures. I usually have to have my toes done once every 2-3 weeks but after going here, I've gone one whole month without needing a pedicure. The woman who did my pedicure took her time and had me relaxed and comfortable too. The callous removal was probably the best part because of the tool she used. I've never had the tool used before anywhere which I think really helped on the removal of the dead skin. If you need a serious callous treatment, go here. Overall I would highly recommend this location for pedicures, I would like to get my nails time but in time. It's been tough to find a place that is attentive and does not rush you when it's your turn. Hidden gem is what I would definitely refer to as this place. The only con I would say is the area, there are a bit of transients in the area but that's most of the Oxnard area for you! read more

My natural nails were in bad shape and kept breaking and chipping. I'm also really bad about filing my nails down evenly and short enough that they won't break so badly. On a day trip to Oxnard, I stopped by LV Nails for a gel mani and regular pedi. They had me in and out of the shop in about an hour!! The women who worked on my mani/pedi were so sweet and very professional. My manicurist made sure my nails were the shape and length I wanted. My feet are extremely ticklish, but my pedicurist was very delicate so that I wouldn't be so uncomfortable. It's rare that I find a pedicurist who can be so delicate while still getting the job done!! My every comfort was met and I really enjoyed my visit. I hope to stop by LV Nails again next time I'm in Oxnard. read more

Such a fabulous nail salon! I have come here three times now after a friend recommended this place, and spoke so highly of Cathy. I have acrylic nails and love to try new designs and nail shapes I see on Pinterest and Cathy always takes my ideas in stride and is happy to try them. This week I went in there wanting Christmas themed nails and I had seen Grinch ones online and hoped Cathy could try them for me. She did such an amazing job and I've already gotten dozens of compliments on my nails. Cathy painted The Grinch, the hand and ornament, max the dog and the tree all by hand, and had no prior knowledge of the grinch and or the movies. I am blown away by Cathy's talent and care when working on my nails and she's always so friendly as well as the rest of the staff at LV. Don't even bother coming here if you can't get one of the young girls to do it. I have no idea why they let the senior citizens do nails when it's painfully obvious that they are unable to see. You practically have to do their job for them because they make so many mistakes. Blotches, streaks and missed spots all together. I hate that they charge SOOOO much money for such mediocre work. They charge what an upscale nail tech would minus the workmanship. No pride at all in their work whatsoever. Everything looks filthy unless you're at Cathy's station. She's the only one worth seeing. PROS: quick experience , little wait time , reasonable prices $30 for acrylic gels , clean CONS : designs and add ons (matte gel , gold flakes,etc ) don't have a set price so it depends on what they say This was my first time ever with acrylic nails and they came out really nice and pretty uniforms. i initially wanted one nail to be cow print but that couldn't be done and the gold stars i wanted only came in variety color. but my nail technician helped and suggested some gold flakes instead and it was genius. the place itself was clean but you definitely won't get a hand bowl and i was a bit thrown off with just the towel i had my hands on because it was dirty and had my cuticles left on it during the whole process. again i also wish they would have set prices for extra things like matte polish , designs , add ones like stars or flakes because i was initially told i'd be charged $3-5 tops and was charged $6 more. but other than that i loved it ! this place is a gem for the work and price. read more

This place is no good for natural nail manicures. First the tools they used didn't inspire confidence as the older gentleman who helped did not tear them out of a bag. He also never used cuticle softner and left most of the cuticles. Not happy wont be back. Lady who did my pedi did ok. I feel like this place needs a good scrub down. My friend and I have been on the hunt for a nice and sanitary nail salon, LV Nails was not it. The license on the cart of the lady helping me was Susan. I am also a nail technician and went to school to get my cosmetology license. I was not able to go to my job for mani pedis because we were too busy so I booked an appointment for my friend and I here. My nail lady was extremely rough and was scratching, literally scratching my legs for the massage. She also cut me twice and cut the sidewalls of my nails to make them more square even though I asked her politely not to. I kept jerking my foot away and shrieking in pain and she kept aggressively pulling my foot towards her and got irritated with me, I wanted to leave but my friend was enjoying her pedicure and sometimes I shy away from making a scene. Also, this was the first time I had ever seen a nail salon whip out a DREMEL POWER TOOL to SAND down the feet and calluses! Like, what?!? What really grossed me out was that she put the buffer, file, and nippers, under the UV lamp used to cure my gels to "sterilize" them and then used them on the client next to me. I don't know how many times they reuse they're supplies but those are disposables they're made to be thrown away after EACH guest. And metal implants sanitized after EACH guest. When it came to paying I paid for my friend and I but on two separate tabs so I could give her lady a better tip than mine. They were upset that I left my lady with a $10 tip after I had gone through the most painful and horrific pedicure of my life. I left annoyed but didn't make a fuss about it. I may have left with soft feet but a few days later had scabs on my legs from the scratching of the massage, bleeding under the nails and dry cracked feet. Huge NO for me. Be careful, I would recommend bringing your own sanitized tools. read more

I came in here as a walk-in being hopeful to be serviced as it was a holiday weekend. I had previously been turned down by 2 nails salons since it was too busy. This place welcomed me immediately and sat me in a chair right away. I also liked the fact they still took my temperature. Always appreciate extra precaution even though restrictions have been lifted. Jenny did an amazing job on my dip manicure.
