I've been coming to this salon for over a year and have always had great service, which is why I'm really disappointed with my experience today. This was the first time I requested acrylic only on my big toes. It seemed like the technician might have been new. He didn't properly prep or cut the sides of the nail before starting. I asked for a tip, but instead acrylic was applied directly, and it went underneath my real nail. The application was very lumpy and uneven. I communicated that I wasn't happy with how it looked, and another technician took over. I explained what I didn't like, but instead of correcting the structure, she just applied more acrylic, making the nail thicker. My toe started to hurt, and she continued filing repeatedly. At that point, I asked if I could just pay for the portion of the service that had been completed because I wasn't satisfied with how it was being handled. She insisted she could fix it, but nothing was being corrected the way I requested. Color hadn't even been applied yet (she offered), but I didn't want polish over a base that wasn't properly done. My toe felt swollen, and I was still charged $35, which is the same price they charge for a full gel service. Considering the service wasn't completed properly and I left uncomfortable, I truly feel a refund would have been appropriate. I'm really disappointed because this is the first negative experience I've had here, but unfortunately, the service was not done correctly and left me uncomfortable. I won't be returning read more

The person that did my nails didn't know what they were doing. Looked like they were training people still, left my nails too thick and not all the same length and didn't place it straight it was to the side most of my nails. They should atleast let the people know hey I'm new im barely learning are you ok with it but nothing in advance until you see your nails and you're not satisfied. My friend and I came to this salon a few days ago for the first time since it had high rating on Yelp. I support businesses/ nail techs who are starting new but our whole experience at this salon was just terrible and painful. First off, there was a huge language barrier throughout the whole session. My nail tech was Spanish speaking only which is a language I don't speak and it lead to many errors. She was also speaking Spanish to her coworkers who also knew bare minimum English and don't speak Spanish either. So the whole time no one understood each other and lead to frustration. Secondly, the nail tech cut off my ingrown in both big toe nails but from my understanding Podiatrist are only allowed to do. So they weren't supposed to be touched in the first place. I told the tech that it hurts but she kept picking at it. She then added some anti-infection green ointment without her even mentioning what's it's for, without me knowing it stung my open skin. There was even a point where she yelled at me because I told her that the green ointment hurts and to stop but she continued on.Till now my toes are still in pain and probably infected since it's inflamed Overall, we spend 2 hours at the nail salon for a pedicure because the nail techs weren't doing a good job and I think their boss had to come in and help fix their errors. We got charged an add on leg mask that we didn't ask for, the tech just asked what scent of leg mask we wanted then applied it to us because we thought it was part of the pedicure. Stopped by here, without an appointment hoping to get a pedicure and a gel manicure. Walked in and sat for 10 mins before I was even asked what I needed. Not even greeted, just what do you need. I told the lady what I needed and and then no response back. So I walked outside and made a phone call to another nail salon, down the street luckily called Elite Nails, and they told me they could see me without an appointment. As I was making the phone call, the lady walked out and said "oh we can take care of you, 5 mins" I said no that's ok. So glad so left because I want to give my business to people who actually care about customer service and YOU in general because well, you are paying for the experience and relaxation. I was walking by the other day after trying a new place. I am looking for a reliable, friendly atmosphere that does not make me feel rushed. I'd gone elsewhere prior and gotten a kind of chunky outcome. That same day I stopped by the shopping center at Saviers and grabbed a bite to eat when I saw the sign for "Sky Nails," I was immediately intrigued and as I passed by a second time heading for my car a sweet lady came out and handed me their business card. I told her I was interested in a color change and she was so kind she even asked if I had time then and there but I had my kid with me and didn't think it would be a good idea. Anywho, onto the good stuff, I went in this morning and the same lady was there. She showed a nice variety of polishes. They have the cute jelly colors, chrome, glitters, plenty of gems and lots of different ornamental items. I settled on a color and asked if they could re-shape my chunky squares to almond, When I tell you she went tf off and gave me the cute nails I had wanted. She did that. Not only did I get the finished result I was looking for but she was also very friendly and checked in with me. Her attention to detail was perfect. She and her son were both very welcoming and forthcoming with info. The business is new and I hope they keep booming. If they keep making people feel welcome, take their time, and communicate they will always have a devoted clientele. As long as they continue to be as excellent as they already are. I saw the grand opening sign as I took my mom a few doors down for lab work. Mother needed some TLC on her toes so I figured why not. As I walked in, to my surprise, the decor was very modern and clean. There's a few waiting chairs in the front with 2 massage chairs that you can sit on while waiting which is a plus for me. Receptionist was very polite and welcoming he showed us the services that they offer. The price was very reasonable so we got both opt for manicures and pedicures. We then picked our color from their wide selection and got seated down in the pedicure chair. Our service got done at a timely pace, I didn't feel rushed and the manicurist took her time to make my moms feet look good. She was so gentle with my moms feet and hands, so thumbs up for that. I used to get my nails done before and not as frequent. The last time I went to one was last month and it was in Thousand Oaks for a pedicure. This time I decided to get a manicure near my area, and I love to check out new ones then I stumbled upon this new one which is nearer to where I live. It's clean and welcoming, service is good, they make sure you are getting taken care of especially for the gentleman at the desk. The salon may not be looking 100% settled in yet since they have just opened but I can see this salon grow big. I may have set an appointment and may have said the wrong service for what I actually came in for, that's may fault for that but it took a bit time for me to be next in line but I didn't mind since I didn't have anything to do for the rest of the day. Beautiful job! My feet look so pretty. To start everything was very clean. They use a liner in the basins, the tools are soaked in the cleaner then put in a UV unit and bagged. The tables and chairs also looked well cleaned. My was gentle with my fibromyalgia legs and made sure I was comfortable. My nails were well shaped and she very kindly changed the color when the first one I chose was lighter than expected. Her son pulled a variety of colors until we found a better choice. Amazing nail salon! My friend and I were in town for a wedding and found Sky Nails. One of the best experiences I've had getting my nails done- I felt so pampered and cared for! I saw the sign and the shop looked clean and inviting so late on a Saturday I walked in on a whim for a manicure and a pedicure. They where very nice and welcoming. The salon was cozy and clean with a huge selection of colors and embellishments. I need to have short durable nails and I really like how they didn't try to up sell me on acrylics or dip like all the other salons . I'm usually disappointed by the lack of cuticle clean up I receive when get my nails done but My did an excellent job she really took her time and cleaned up my thrashed cuticles . The staff was friendly and warm unlike most other salons that make you feel uncomfortable and just want to rush you out . I'm very hard in my nails with work and I hope the gel holds up time will tell in that but I really enjoyed the massage and treatments I got during my pedicure worth the little extra . Honestly I wanted to like this place because it's so nice inside, but that's where any positive things I have to say ends. The lady who did my nails was nice in the beginning, but she didn't do my nails like I showed her in the picture. The gems design she put on was also completely different from the picture. No, it was in fact not better, and it wasn't what I wanted. It literally took five hours to get my nails and toes done and it was the longest time I've ever spent in a salon. I was so tired and hungry after.
