The lady that did my nails nicked my cuticle pretty significantly. She did it twice. I wasn't happy but I continued with the process. I even tipped her $30 because I also work in the service industry and I appreciate a good tip. I regret that. A few weeks later I woke up with a painful finger. The sore had healed but unseen infection in the nail bed from a careless tech concerned with speed rather than safety left me in excruciating pain. The next six weeks, countless trips to the ER, three rounds of antibiotics and narcotic pain pills and now the nail has fallen off. Be ware. I will never ever use these services again especially from this establishment. I called and tried to talk to the owner and was met with rudeness and never ever given a call back. I went into the salon their was three visible employees two of them where finishing up with a pedicure and one lady was sitting down. Right away i was asked what I needed I said a full set pink and white they said ok. I sat down and waited my arrival time was 9:23 i finally got up at 9:48 because i kept seeing the other ladies cleaning and filling lotions cleaning supplies while im just sitting there. I said excuse me who's helping me out ? I've been sitting here and no one has given me a time frame or assistance to which the lady that was filling the lotions was asked in their language something and then she tells me oh sorry i have appointments coming up soon. So i said clearly why wouldn't you guys say no one can help you sorry instead of wasting my time waiting around. She offered a weak apology saying sorry I got up and left and said she should be sorry wasting time. After many years of not going because of a similar situation in the past confirms why I will not be going back they have terrible service. read more

My teen daughter went in with her own money, showed the nail tech a picture of the nails she wanted, and whoever was doing it did something totally different. My daughter asked for her to do the picture again, and the tech aggressively took all the nails off and charged her $10 for nothing. Asked for a brown French tip and the color was not what I asked for. I asked for a dark brown but since they didn't have this color he had to mix a few different spray colors to make the brown. Unfortunately the guy didn't let the color spray out well enough so it came out a bit orange in some sections. The picture shows how my nails looked the day after. Keewan is the best! I came in to get the dip powder on my nails and he definitely was a pleasure. Fun place and they really strive to make sure you are enjoying yourself. First time here, Kewan did my nails. He was professional and friendly with an amazing attitude! The salon is beautifully decorated, the equipment is in good repair and good sanitory practices were employed! I brought in a few example pictures of what I was looking for to have some patriotic holiday nails and Kewan suggested a blue sparkle ombre and did a wonderful job! I had never received a hand/forearm massage when getting a nail fill so was happily suprised with that at the end. Writing this while I am getting a fancy pedicure (they have three different levels with the top one being just under $60)...gonna stop posting and enjoy the rest of the pampering process! ...after the pedicure was done...Lana was the lovely lady who did my pedicure, she was friendly and professional and did a great job! Then proceeded to scold me on not bring correct shoes...however--every place I've been to has always offered throw away flip flops...even in this COVID-19 climate they should offer them if not it's their responsibility to inform customers over the phone. Gel manis have never lasted me more than a week. Except for this place. Husband and wife run the place and they are the nicest people. Place is clean and they have nice music. I lovvvve Nails D' Elegance! I have been going to them for 29 years! That's a lot of tri-weekly manicures and pedicures! Everything is so clean and sanitary. They even file my nails with "new in the package" files and scrubs. Their pedicure chairs are state of the art with a full massage. I love the hot stone treatment and foot scrubs. Every single time I have an appointment, they are on-time and my acrylic nails are perfectly shaped into my favorite "square shape". The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your visit is relaxing and perfect! They have some great new spa treatments, too. Other reviews have complained, but I am VERY concerned about my nails because I use my hands in business everyday! My nails always look perfect. I've been going to Nails D' Elegance for close to two years now. Every time, I am not disappointed. Lana does an excellent job with my nails and is a great resource of suggestions for what looks good/what you should try, etc. Lily has been doing my pedicures as well, and she is phenomenal. I always leave feeling relaxed & refreshed, and get SO many compliments on my nails. The owners are so sweet and always do the most to make you feel relaxed and pampered. Thank you Nails D' Elegance! A nicer than usual place in a strip mall. I came in on Saturday late morning and had no problem getting a gel manicure immediately. I have an allergy to almost every type of gel polish except (for some reason) Shellac... and luckily they carry that brand. The gel mani was $30, which is pretty average for this type of place. Service was friendly, fast and professional. The place looks very clean. It's decorated nicely and being in a strip mall, there is plenty of parking. Only down side -- Cash only. This place is a definite step above the typical rush job cheapie nail salon, so you really don't expect a cash only policy. But there it is. You have to schlep over to the Vons to get cash. When I was there, another woman had to make the same trip but she was wearing pedicure slippers - yikes! If you live in Ventura, this is a good spot for your regular mani/pedi (didn't get a pedicure but the chairs look very comfy and clean!). But bring cash! read more

My fiancé and I went in today since I'm due in a couple days and all salons might close back down. We said we wanted just a regular pedicure. Then that add $5 for hot towels $5 for rocks $5 for massage. $50 just for a pedicure for one person after we told them no to stop. Then we try to oh them and they said cash only. We offered to pay an extra fee but we don't have any cash. No one is carrying cash with this COVID going on a day especially me being pregnant I only use a card. I went to this salon in preparation for a big elegant out of state wedding. I was very specific in what I wanted. I wanted French tip ombré with pink and white powder. The man who did my nails was arguing with me that I should get the white airbrushed. He wouldn't listen to me and was very adamant. He promised the nails would be beautiful and last. None of the nails were the same shape and the white he airbrushed on chipped in 2 days before the wedding! I would not go here!!! read more

Coming from someone who was a regular of the owner Jenny on and off for about 5 years, I am saddened to say my time with this place is beyond done. No need to make an appointment here- they don't take it literal. If someone walks in 5-10 mins before you arrive, they won't wait for you, they'll take the incoming client that just started and now you are stuck there waiting for 15-25 minutes when you scheduled an appointment. They tell you to come back. This has happened like 15+ times to me. I get being busy, but schedule your clients out further so you don't have to make them run a second trip- or wait an excessive amount of time. Not only that, but when you do schedule an appointment & there's nobody available for you ( which doesn't necessarily make sense since you scheduled an appointment) anyways.. when a nail tech finishes they'll still take incoming clients while you are still waiting- like they forgot about you. This happened to me today. Scheduled a mother daughter pedicure & my mom was done and I still had not even got helped yet. Ridiculous- especially since a worker finished & took someone else. At the very end when she noticed I was upset she offered to take me- although my mom was already done- kinda defeats the purpose. Not to mention we were on a time crunch... this is why I scheduled two appointments. If this isn't enough to make you frustrated, they also tend to fluctuate prices a LOT. Sometimes my nails would cost 40$, 45$ all sorts of different prices but just for an acrylic fill no designs ever included. I was getting the same thing done every time. Pedicures cost $30- sometimes $40, or $45. You never know what ur getting charged. Not accurate with appointment times at all. Trust me, I work in customer service & have been patient for years with this place but it just isn't worth it anymore. read more

I showed them the picture of the color I wanted but they did not follow along. They are over priced and charge extra for small things that should be complimentary.
