Ivy is so kind and never shames me or makes me feel bad for broken nails or when I bit them. She fixed and fills them to beautiful perfection. Lisa was there after everyone left to clean up, steralize equipment, and full of smiles and laughs. Lisa is Great. My nails are perfect for my bday tomorrow. This shop is a prize, 10/10. randomly wanted to get a pedicure while I was visiting the area and I Google searched five or six different places and I ended up coming here and I got booked with kim and she gave me literally one of the best pedicures I have had in such a long time, I came from the LA area. I'm not kidding you. I'm now going to be getting my pedicures an hour and a half away from where I live because it's so much more worth it having a quiet, nice calm salon the surgeon kim went to town gave me a really nice massage .. their massage chairs are also great very clean and my gel turned out so lovely hands-down one of the best experiences in a while:) read more

Read immediately after I got the manicure too and then obviously and loudly discussing it amongst themselves. I guess it's fine, I won't be back anyways. Unsanitary, unfriendly, and unprofessional. My manicurist didn't say one word to me the entire time! The 5-6 random manicurists hanging out all had a loud conversation the whole time my friend and I got our nails done. They keep trying to push the gel nails, which we said no to many times. We weren't greeted when we came in, instead the lady was on her phone and didn't really acknowledge us. The manicure itself is mediocre: she seemingly spent just as much time getting nail polish off my fingers as she did painting my nails. There's a sign that says cash preferred but they also do Venmo or Zelle. Oh and did I mention unsanitary? The towel laid at the station had dried crap and old nail clippings on it. Here's hoping I don't get an infection of some kind. Avoid this place if you're looking for a good manicure or just to be treated like a human. read more

I tried All Star Nails based off a recommendation from a friend who lives right by the salon. I get my gel manicures with Lisa and have never had an issue. She does a good job and my nails no longer break like they did when I would get them done at another salon I would go to in Oxnard. I always get a pedicure too and don't choose a preferred technician so those have been a hit or miss. Everyone is so friendly! They are always so easy to schedule an appointment which is great for my busy momma schedule. The salon could use a bit of a facelift and sprucing up. It's been nice to see what seems like lifelong customers return and interact with the nail techs. Shows that the service keeps them coming back. Parking is a bit tricky sometimes since they're on Main Street but it's not too bad of an issue. Overall, I'm happy with All Star Nails and will continue being a customer. read more

Lisa did my nails last year. I didn't like how the nail polish looked, so she had to re-do it. But the real problem was that she seems to have preconceptions based on my skin color. She was talking to me and asking me if I was traveling somewhere and I said yes to which she replied "Are you traveling to Mexico?" I replied and let her know that I was actually traveling to Europe. There were other questions which made me feel uncomfortable, but i just keep it short and let her finish doing my nails. I recently visited this nail salon again because it's really close to my house and I thought I would give it another try, but this time I would ask for someone else. Aiden was the person that did my nails this time. It was so disappointing, she was so rude. I tried to ignore her behavior, but she kept on squishing my fingers as she was doing my nails. She also applied so much product on my nails that they started burning and I asked her if that was normal, but all she did was trying to feel them or something. My nails looked really thick and when I told her if she could please make thinner she seemed bothered. To top it all off she kept on getting up so many times I was there for a very long time. I will definitely not be returning here again. I go to have my nails done not only to look pretty but to relax and enjoy some time for myself. Found this place on a whim and decided to go because of the reviews. I was serviced by Kim & Jenna I believe. They both seemed nice and Kim, she's very talkative. Not sure if they get many African American clients but all she talked about my entire time there was my skin color, her clients with mixed / interracial children and partners ... and it was just, weird. I got a simple mani pedi and when I was done and drying, a lady came - told me I was good and should go - she puts my slippers on , messes up the polish - then tells ME to be careful lol Either way, not sure if I'll be back - just stopped by on a whim. read more

Today was my second time at All Star Nails. The first time I went, Ivy did a full set for me, as a walk-in on a Sunday. That alone is worth 5 stars. Today I went in for a fill/color change and a pedicure. Jayson did my hands and Dana did my feet. Both were great and I got exactly what I asked for. Dana was so kind and went above and beyond on my poor, destroyed feet. It had been about 5 years since I had had a pedicure and she really made them shine. They gave me a different pedicure than I asked for and when I asked why I didn't get the callus removed she said I didn't have any but I clearly did. She claimed I got an upgraded pedi instead but that wasn't what I asked for. They did the callus scrub after I pointed it out (the calluses) I got spayed with extremely hit water during beginning of my pedi and she didn't even file my toe nails down! When I got the mani she used a nail drill tool to remove the layer of gel instead of soaking them. I was supposed to get an eyebrow wax but she wanted to do it in the mani/pedi massage chair. When I asked if they had a room with the bed she said no. I've never not had my waxes done in a private room while lying down. I still tipped 15% but I'll never come back. And when I got the callus remover done the lady let out a big sigh. So sorry you had to do the job you were supposed to do in the first place. read more

After some Yelping, "nail salons open late" I found All Star Nails and gave them a call. Spoke with Kim, who is FANTASTIC. She originally told me she is limited on time, but can take me in for a walk-in gel PEDICURE. I arrive and everything is up to COVID-19 standards: sign a COVID-19 liability release wavier, everyone is wearing masks, face shields and limited guest in the store. After showing Kim that I was in desperate need for a gel French MANICURE too, she made time for me to have a both a manicure and pedicure! Now, that's 5 star Yelp worthy service. Shop seems generally clean. Interior is a bit worn down and service prices are comparable. I was pleased with the work Kim did with my pedicure. Tina did my gel French manicure. Tina seemed a bit rushed, as I was the last customer and I wonder if she had more time -would she have done a better job. They apparently do powder dip, but the girl who performs that service left home early that day. If you're ever in the area, ask for Kim -she is your girl to get your nails done right. read more

I would give a better review but unfortunately i had bad customer service because when i arrived nobody greeted me until after a while . Then a lady told me to sit at her station to do my nails, i showed her a picture of how I wanted them and she confidently said she can do them for me. Unfortunately they did not come out to how I wanted them, the flowers is too big and chunky and told me it was her first time doing them again because it has been a long time she's done something like the nails I wanted. I became understandable and nice to her but the only thing she did was take advantage of me and proceeded to call my nails as wedding nails even though those were not for a wedding but rather for my graduation. I know she took advantage of me because she proceeded to ask me if it was my first time doing nails like these or with anyone, I can't believe that these nails cost me $95+ taxes for a small/medium length nails. Another thing was that as I paying for them they claimed that I didn't pay for them because it wasn't showing up from their system and showed them that in my end it was payed. Total scam right there! Unfortunately, I truly believe these nails are worth less than what I payed for and wish a refund for half the price that I payed. read more

Me and my friend had an appointment for 4:45 p.m. yesterday, got there at 4:45 p.m. exactly. We called ahead earlier that day to make our appointments. We got there, picked our color out, then sat down to get our toes done. my friend was getting her toes done by one girl, and i had another girl. everything was going okay until 10 different people started showing up in the salon saying they are there for their 5 p.m appointments. well, my nail girl takes them all in, and says she will be right back. lies lol. she took every single one of those people in and started working on them instantly. of course only her too, everyone else was still getting worked on. 10 minutes pass, 20 minutes pass, 30 minutes, then 40 minutes in i roll down my pants i had rolled up after they drained the water and the nail cleaning was done on me. shes in the middle of giving someone else a full acrylic set.....WHAT??? i'm about to get up and leave and she runs over and says okay polish now. my friend is already done with her pedicure, waiting for me now. and the lady just paints my nails without doing anything else my friend got with her package, we got the same one. i was livid, this was genuinely the worst service i have ever had at a salon. i will NEVER be coming back here and i'm letting everyone know how horrible this place is. They're so damn desperate for money that they'll take everyone in, crowded as it was, and not even care about you. I was so mad when i was paying because she was making sure i tipped her...then when the reader wasn't working for the card, i was going to take it back out from my wallet and she went to go grab my card out of my wallet!?!?!?!? i had it inside the slit already so she couldn't, but do NOT touch my wallet? it's also really really dirty inside, the floors are all black, no air filtering for the fumes, nobody greeting you when you walk in. never ever again. read more
