Came here two days ago for a hard builder gel fill. Natalie clearly did not have the right materials to fill my Nails. So she talked me into gel X Nails, which I went for. I told her many times I did not like square nails at the end. I ended up with square wide nails I asked if she still had to file she said no she was done. She was going to polish I said I don't like them. I don't like spare nails, but I'm sure you ladies can relate. They always try to make an excuse as to why they did a certain shape. I was over it I went over and got my pedicure. I was done came back today Saturday, December 30 ask her to remove my nails, she asked why I wanted to remove them I said because I don't like them. They're too square and too wide. She asked if I was going anywhere I said yes I'm going to Newport Beach tonight for dinner. Oh you need to have pretty nails I said no it's fine, she starts to takeoff the top layer of the design polish that I had. She stops and says let me shape them and polish for you. Mind you when I walked in this was supposed to be a no charge nail removal. She said she would remove the nails at no charge. So she shapes the Nails Files them does all that good stuff and says, is this OK? I said yeah sure that's fine. Obviously she needs to put the polish back on, but I didn't go for the design that I originally had. I just said polish them, the same color, but all one polish don't do the design at the end she says $25 for the re-polish. When I paid $125 two days prior for my nails and a pedicure that's a bit steep I think she should have not charged me for a repolish when I was not even a happy customer, definitely not coming back. read more

One star and only one star for the girl that did my pedicure she was so nice and did good, but I will not be coming back though. Unfortunately my original nail salon did not have openings so I decided to try this nail salon and I definitely learned my lesson. By the way they lied and do not do gel x they do a different type of hard gel that actually burns while curing it. The prices are high and they have a higher charge for a certain French tip if you have almond nails which I don't care but the lady never mentioned anything like you get what you pay for & in this case I just paid extra and was definitely not satisfied. I asked for a yellow French tip and at first she was like that's pretty I can do that. Then after I had to ask her to fix it and she said yellow was too hard to do. Like what? You do nails for a living a color is too hard? She went over it again and again they did not come out looking good. I just left it at that and that's when they had told me they needed to charge extra for the French tip that did not come out nice and the shape I already had previously because she didn't even shape them differently. I still paid and tipped because I felt bad and the atmosphere after I asked changed everyone's attitude to a negative one so I will never come here again. read more

Took my daughter here. Waited for her in the car only to find out they literally ripped her old set off with nail clippers which caused immense pain, before they then put a new set on. Needless to stay the new set didn't last long. We soaked them and removed them ourselves but her nails underneath were so brittle that they just broke apart. It is hit or miss with this place. There are a few technicians who are fantastic but others that are less than okay. The owners are great people and if you go here I would highly recommend making an appointment with Susan. The problem I've had is two toe infections from here. It took me quite awhile to recover from the first one and now I have another infection due to the fact that they cut down the side of your toenails leaving more of a possibility to get an ingrown toenail. Despite me telling them not to cut down the sides of my nails it's been done over and over. I don't understand the logic of doing this because it is well known that to avoid ingrown toenails you should always cut the toenail straight across. There is one lady there who I try to avoid. Her name starts with a V. She makes me uncomfortable and always calls me "baby". I had wanted to have my callouses removed with the dremel (which is a paid service) for one of the pedis I got from her. I paid for it yet all she did use was the rectangular block file and not the dremel. Needless to say my callouses were still there when I left. I felt like I got ripped off but decided not to complain and to just go back and request another tech. About appointments, I had made 2 appointments and showed up for them and then was told I didn't have an appointment that day. I had to leave and come back so I don't really make appointments anymore. read more

Do not go to this salon. A month ago my husband went in for a manicure. The girl at the front desk nicked his cuticles twice causing them to bleed. Today I went in, thinking maybe she just was rushed and had a bad day. I had a 10 am appointment, the girl put me in a chair and filled it with water after I had sat for 5 minutes. As I sat there another person came in and was taken care of right away. I sat with my feet in the water for 15 minutes and realized it was going to be at least another 15 minutes before one of the other manicurist could get to me. I dried my feet and left the salon. If the girl at the front would have called me and told me they were having staffing problems I would have understood. Don't leave me for 30 minutes sitting in water. The first time I went in it was for a pink and white fill. The girl was not capable, she suggested gel polish. Not what I wanted but daylight was burning. Next time I got Vanessa, who is suppose to be the best technician they have. Ask her 3 times to put enough white to last so I can do a regular fill in 3 weeks. The amount of white on each nail was different. Some looked really bad at 3 weeks. Had her do a pink and white at the 3 weeks. Very disappointed. Amount of white and the shape of the white is different on each nail. Technical flaws that a beginner would make. When I ask Vanessa to compare the nails, she said "that is for beginners". I've been going here regularly for about 6 months for acrylic sets. Most of the time the techs I get are capable and nice. I usually get a long, coffin or stiletto nail with a normal color and staff is usually capable of this. The worst experience I've had here by far was with an older male tech (didn't catch his name) who did the fills in my nails. He repeatedly burned and cut me with the nail drill, causing pretty severe damage to my cuticles and the sides of my nail, and put big clumps of polymer glue all over nails, making them look gross and bumpy. The best experience I've had here was with a young woman who I believe was named Susan. She worked very hard and diligently on my nails, and spent a lot of time carefully shaping and sharpening my nail. This took up more time, but all can be expense when it comes to good nails. She was very kind to me and pleasant the whole appointment, not over talkative like some techs tend to be. read more
