This used to be my nail spot when I was on that side of Long Beach that would provide pretty good service. Now after this last visit, I'm not sure I'll be back. Everyone was nice and all but nice doesn't always equal good service. The man who did my nails tried to glob the polish on to keep from doing multiple layers because it was a pale color. This caused the layers of gel not to dry completely before he globbed another coat on and that just made bubbles and lumps in my nails. As you can see on my ring finger, the globs are starting to fall off. Not to mention my cuticles weren't trimmed well. The LED light they used was very flimsy and just didn't cure the polish well AT ALL. I also got a pedicure which came out nice but was extremely rushed. 2 people walked in the door and because they saw them waiting they rushed everything. I didn't get a massage with my pedicure nor did I get to choose which pedicure I would like. Either because she was in a rush or because I am a person of color, she assumed I wanted "the cheapest" options and didn't even show me the pedicure list. I actually did want the sea salt scrub and asked for the list but she just kept speeding through and didn't hear me. I did get her attention to ask for the callous remover. Super rushed job on hands and feet (cold water for my hands btw), no massage on my feet, bubbles in my nails and it still came up to $53. Yeaaa I'll just wait to go somewhere else next time. read more

They lost me. I went in for a regular mani/pedi (nothing special) two new workers I had never seen before. I have to say the pedicure was half ass and my lumpy manicure polish job was horrible. I went last Sunday. Wasn't going to write a review but was disappointed. Lastly they have this new card machine. If your debit card had the chip it must be ran with the chip. My friends MasterCard wasn't working with it but my Visa went through. What an inconvenience as I had to pick up my friends tab. So advise is to have cash just in case. My husband and I stopped in today and paid for a fulls service mani and pedi and the service we received was half-ass. I asked for gel manicure and gel pedicure. My gel manicure was done properly by a gentlemen (the only reason this is a 2 star review) my pedicure on the other hand, was no where near what I expected. The technician that did my feet cut so many corners and gave me a regular pedicure instead of gel. She used water and a sponge to scrub my feet instead of lotion and sponge. She didn't apply lotion on my feet or legs before applying polish. My husband wasn't pleased with his pedicure or manicure. We were in a hurry and stumbled upon this place! If you can, go to your local nail shop and avoid the poor quality of service. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

I gave one star because my pedicure was actually good. My gel manicure, on the other hand, was a complete disaster. My fingers were covered with gel around the nails. Red gel polish so it wasn't subtle. Sadly, the gal was going to leave them that way. I asked her to fix them but it didn't make it much better. They still look terrible. The paint was also quite far from the cuticle at the top so they look more grown out than the two week old gel mani I walked in with. When I went to pay she then tells me it's an additional $3 to remove the gel I came in with on top of the $25 messy manicure. I don't know any salons that charge to remove gel when you are having new gel applied. That's just nuts. I told her I was not pleased and wanted to talk to the manager. He said he wouldn't charge the $3. I think I should not have had to pay for the epically terrible gel manicure. Never again will I go back to this place. The M clearly stands for MESS. read more

I decided to give this place another shot yesterday since it's 2 mins away from my house and the nail salon that I usually go to is on the other side of town. I originally had a pink and white ombré with coffin shape and I went in to get a fill. The lady who did my nails was Tracy. At first she seemed nice and she started to file down my nails. I asked her to make them thin and change my nail shape to stiletto(pointy) and she was totally fine with it. I trusted her and let her continue doing my nails. She cut me once and she accidentally cut off the nail tip of my left pinky and instead of removing my nail and replacing it with a new one, she put a whole gunk of white acrylic powder on top. I wasn't satisfied with my nail shape because they were crooked and asked if I could shape them myself. She wouldn't hand over the nail filer and insists that she could fix it, but I just wanted to do it myself. She kind of huffed and puffed and gave me an attitude. To top it off... that left pinky nail that she cut off was smooth on top, but when you look in the inside of my nail, it was not smooth and there was a chunk of powder that was really bothering me. I asked her to file it down and she wasn't happy with it. She said she did already and didn't want to fix it. I'm a paying customer and when I want something fixed, I feel like she should of tried instead of giving me and attitude. She then proceeded to file it and fixed it. I really didn't want to tip her, but I did anyways. I am definitely not returning to this nail salon! At least the man at the front was very nice read more

$38 pedicure. Not worth it! I politely asked if she (lady doing my pedicure) could scrub (callus remover) a little more in the center of my foot because it still felt a little prickly (rough). She refused. I'm not sure why they fight with you for the smallest little things. If I'm paying my money for a service you claim to provide, I should leave your establishment satisfied. Don't get me wrong, I do know some people are just hard to please. Not me though lol. If so I would have complained to her about the entire pedicure because she pretty much sucked at just about every step except for the massage ( it was ok). Honestly in most nail places there is only one to two people who actually do a good job. If you know who that one person is here thats the only way I would recommend this place (Nails M Spa) It's pretty clean & the overall customer service was ok. I didn't get polished because now I'm headed across the street to another nail shop to get the bottom of my feet done & polished. Extra money. ‍ Just a little tip, if you've never had callus remover/ scrubbed at the bottom before, DON'T start. I feel like that's what makes them rough and prickly. You'll always have to get it done once you start. I never had a problem with the bottom of my feet until I started letting them scrub with that silly callus remover. I'm done now. read more

They told me to sit down and didn't give me an estimated time I assumed I was going to be next but they actually worked on the clients that's needed manicures and pedicures first. Probably because it's more money. I waited ten minutes and still I walked out politely saying thank you and they just gave me a nasty look .
