I came here as a walk-in and had to wait 20 minutes, which I did because I was in desperate need for a pedi and mani. I requested we do the pedi first to have enough time for the nails to dry (I was wearing boots). This was my first time going to Nails For You and I am extremely happy with my experience. I got Gel-X done with Jade and she was amazing. Throughout the process she made sure that I liked everything that she was doing. Jade really took her time with the application, shaping, and even painting of my nails. She was very patient with me and showed me different shape options (since I couldn't make up my mind) and explained how different shapes made your hands look. I was very pleased with her being so meticulous. I left with great-looking nails! Overall, the atmosphere of Nails For You is lovely. Every person that works there is friendly and approachable. I had my first ever pedicure here yesterday. The pedicure itself was wonderful. I really enjoyed it. The problem was their payment system was a disaster. They don't accept Amex (that's fine, but a little annoying). The big problem was they claimed their credit card machine "wasn't disconnected," so I had to pay cash (which I didn't have on me), or Zelle. The Zelle went to the personal account of the tech, which was fishy. Worse, the amount charged for the service was higher than what was represented on their website. One of the other techs said, "we don't update our website." That's not ok. I argued with them and they and they agreed to accept the amount stated on the website. I paid by Zelle to the tech's personal account. I was not given a receipt. This argument over payment ruined the experience. I was expecting to become a regular at this place, but the payment process was so bad that I'd never go back. Their payment system problems could have been legitimate, but you can't run a business like this. I mean, they didn't even appear to charge sales tax, but I can't say that for sure because I didn't get a receipt. The pedicure was great, but the payment aspect was unprofessional. It's 2025, it's not hard to accept credit cards. I can't recommend this place at all. read more

I have been on a quest to find a consistently good quality nail salon that offers nail art in the Rockville area, and I was so happy with my service at Nails For You! I got Gel-X nails for the first time and my nail artist, Jade, took her time and showed great attention to detail. My nails look amazing and you can't even tell that I have the Gel-X nails on. While I was there, I also saw another customer getting a pedicure, and the woman who did the pedicure looked like she was giving a great massage! I will definitely be returning. read more

They don't honor their appointments. Our group had 3 confirmed appointments. When we entered at our scheduled time they ignored us. Later they said they were understaffed, but they could help us in 20 minutes. Then they took another customer who came in after us! When we asked for an explanation, they said "I don't know" and ignored us again. It wasn't until over an hour after the appointment time that they finally helped one person from our group, but we cut it short because there was no point having everyone waste more hours. Some of these nails techs have the nastiest dispositions I ever witnessed in the service industry. They are terrible with their time management and the length of time they make customers wait when they're running behind schedule....and it goes unacknowledged. Male. Clip finger nails and cuticles. Often toenail clipping. Owner on site is very nice and ORGANIZED. Staff all cordial. As an older male I am never made to feel uncomfortable by the staff or other clients. Not a fancy shop. It is way more and way more substantial with good, caring people. Where do I even begin? This place is AMAZING! The mother -daughter duo Nancy & Emmi are the kindest people I have ever gone to. (I have been getting my nails done for 20+ years) the techs are professional, kind, and Emmi is so creative with all her fancy nail designs & art. This is my favorite mommy & daughter date. They treat my 3 year old just like any other client- attention to detail, patient, and soooo sweet. My daughter loves coming with me to get her nails done. I went to this place for the first time not too long ago. I was really impressed with how my nails were done. My nails were done by a guy there. I'm not gonna say his name for confidential reasons but he did a bangin job. Apparently he had been doing nails for about 22 years. I liked that they weren't gossiping about me in their language. The whole time he was talking to me about my life and his life. He had great conversation along with a great sense of humor. The price here wasn't too bad either. I got acrylic nails! It costed me $30.00. The original price is $25.00. It costed me $30.00 because I wanted a design so he added five dollars to it. It was all worth it though. To wrap it up, I think I might go back to get me a pink French manicure lol read more

I was introduced to this place by an employee I don't think works there any more. Anyhow, a store associate named Nancy told me she would be moving to this store I am talking about now. I had known Nancy from when she worked at. TN Nail&Spa 617 Hungerford Dr, Rockville, MD 20850 And where I first met her at Tina's Nails&Waxing 5541 Nicholson Ln, Rockville, MD 20852. Sadly TN Nails closed its doors, but there are stories with in stories from when I went there. This will be explain when I write my review on TN Nails. Since I knew Nancy worked there, I knew she would do a sensational job on my nails. Nancy was got at nails and massage. My mind seems to think she did waxing, but that was not her specialty. I last saw Nancy at this nail spa in 2013 before I moved to Virginia. Since than I don't not if she still works there, but I won't forget her attention to detail. Where she is now? I rated this 3 stars because in general I do love that this salon does hot stones, parafin, hot towels, etc. during the manicure...however, when I went to get my nails done today, I had a terrible result. In terms of atmosphere, friendliness, etc. this place was fine, I am just extremely disappointed in the result of my french tip, and thus I will not be coming back. This is by far one of the best nail salons in the area. I live in Silver Spring and even though there are a plethora of salons closer to me, I prefer to come here. This place is the friendliest and most attentive of them all. They spend a good amount of time on my nails and toes, making sure each one is perfect. I love their process for dip powder as well. It's always the perfect thickness, never too thick. They have a great selection of colors for regular nail polish, gel, and powder. Prices are comparable to most other salons. read more

I went here once years ago and I was disappointed with the service but like I said, this place is under new management and they are fantastic. I used to go to Luxury Nails up the street at the intersection of Shady Grove and 355 and they refused to help me one time because it was 30 mins before their closing time, they've lost my service ever since. I came in with a vision in mind and I was nervous to try something new , acrylic with gel on top . but i fell in love . Nancy and Emmy are the best and they are going to be my new nail techs . Amazing ! The salon is small but cute organized stylish clean and they are so kind and cool. I also loved that they gave me a bottle of water afterwards . I posted a review on this business back in 2007. It was a mediocre three-star review. Since then, someone who seems to be the owner (Tony) has sent me a number of messages and posted comments on my review accusing me of being fake. The guy seems to be pretty obsessive. I was tempted to take down my review altogether, but that would be giving in to his harassment. Obviously my review was out of date anyway, since it was 7 years old. But I'd never patronize a business where the owner harasses people who post reviews (as well as clients, according to other reviews). Past review from 2007: Tried Nails For You on a whim after I gave up on Cutting Edge in the same shopping center. Semi-proficient in English, but a good straightforward place. $10 for eyebrows. I was hesitant, but gave it a try, and the waxing was quick. My eyebrows were well-shaped, and as I requested, she didn't make them too thin. I'm still trying to decide if they look exactly the same on both sides, but there's nothing obviously wrong. read more

Yes, Kathy does a good job; Yes, they charge $25 for gel ($5 less than most of the places), and $25 for pedi (like most of the places), HOWEVER, Tony's attitude (and at times Kathy picks it up from him) made me to leave this salon after 3+ years and referring some of my friends and family. TONY, instead of writing that Yelp reviews are fake, work on your customer service manners! You work with people and you have to be professional and know the etiquette. Maybe take classes. Your "know how" to behave with customers will bring you more clients than $25 for gel! read more

The owner is very moody, sometimes can be rude to customers . it's like you have to beg them for their services. I am really disappointed with this place because I first thought I finally found a great nail saloon that's close to my house and reasonably priced. The first two times were ok although I didn't appreciate all the comments made by the man who works there. he kept saying things like its only like $25, can you find another place that cheap etc as if I couldn't afford it. Because I was happy with the nails I always tipped $10, and I really liked it when the girls did my nails- they did a great job. I am giving them a bad review because I was grossed out at my last visit by the man who stepped over the line this time. He usually says things like 'men like women with nails done' etc and just makes these borderline inappropriate statements about looking good. I just ignored it but last time when I asked him to do a normal manicure instead of the gel manicure he got all upset and the whole time kept saying i was wasting money because the Gel was only $7 more. He asked me if I didn't have enough money which was embarrassing so I told him I didn't want them for two weeks but just a few days because my nails were chipping after the third time and my husband and I both noticed my nails getting weak. Then he starts blasting my husband saying he's jealous of other men noticing my nails (as if!) and he's not a nail expert etc. he starts saying even doctors are stupid and change their 'theories' all the time. I didn't need a lecture so I just ignored it hoping me being quiet would stop the conversation. Then this is what really pissed me off, he asks me 'what did u do last night- did u watch a sex movie?' I was shocked, I said 'no! That's not something I want to discuss". i think he didn't understand what I said because then he says 'it's because you are from the Indian culture and your husband is too' (because he's seen him). he then says 'you should have married an American they are open and let you have fun like watch sex movies' He's laughing and I can see that he thinks he's teasing me but NO! That was so creepy and I couldn't stand him touching my hands after that. I will not go to this place again. I found another place close to my house that's the same price and all women. I know they read their reviews so when you read this, learn to be 'appropriate' with your 'clients' and remember that's what they are. They are paying customers, not your friends or people who give a crap about your opinion on doctors etc. Don't ever talk or bring up sex. Don't even compliment your clients because i think English is your second language and you don't know how to word it right. You just end up sounding like your flirting. Ewwwww. read more

Hands down my favorite nail duo ever. I have been going to Kathy for 10 years...never once have I left upset or not satisfied. She's so good at what she does I often tell her to do what she wants because I trust her. Tony and Kathy make my nail appointments fun and interesting. I love that they operate under appointment only pretty much because I never feel rushed. There salon is by far the cleanest and well kept. I am a very loyal customer to this salon but the most recent time I went I was VERY dissatisfied with how my nails looked. After contemplating if I should go back and say something I decided to return 4 days after my appointment date and state my issues. I went in and spoke to Tony(who always does my nails) and he started lashing out at me calling me a liar and that my nails only looked like that because it had been weeks since I had them done. I pulled up my appointment date saying when I was last in the salon and told him it had only been 4 days since I'd last seen him. He then became loud and rude and his wife jumped in to yell at me too! I went in to see if he could fix my nails and instead I was yelled at and called a liar.
