Finally found her! I was specifically looking for Japanese nail artist who does gel art. She was absolutely AMAZING!! She has a private salon in Ballard and her salon was very clean and modern. There were her sample art and I was amazed her anime designs. She made sure to provide all of my requests and my nail is looking gorgeous and shining!! She was also gentle with my original nail since my original nail was very damaged from previous salon. I've been getting dip nails religiously for years now, but I'd been thinking about switching things up. A friend recently saw Maya and raved about her work, so I thought I'd give her a try. Let me tell you - I found my new to-go gal! First of all, I love how she is very organized and clear in her communication, from her website to her IG. She lays out her policies very clearly so you know exactly what to expect. Second, her studio is small, clean and extremely inviting - since it's just her, it was intimate but very relaxing, no hustle and bustle craziness like your every day salon. Third, she is just so nice - even as a first time client it was easy to carry a conversation with her, which I love that! Last but certainly not least, she is just a masterful artist! She was able to take an inspiration photo and recreate perfectly! She even took materials she had and cut and shaped them to be exactly the shapes she needed, I am blown away! I came to Seattle for my big 30th birthday getaway from Hawaii. Last minute decided to get my nails done. Found Maya who also is from Hawaii. Luckily I found Maya on Instagram. She so happen to post a cancellation on her instastory. Looking at her masterpieces I knew she books out months in advance so I took my chances and didn't hesitate and booked it quick no matter what she had time for. I can't believe I found an affordable place for Japanese gel nails!! Japanese gel nails are famous for being the best and last forever. After I got my nails done from a visit in Tokyo, I searched for a place that would offer it around town when it was time for sn upkeep. I found 2 places and they were both ridiculously expensive! Fortunately, I ran into Nails by Maya when I was shopping at wajimaya. I'm so glad I did! Maya confirmed that her gels are from Japan.
