The last time I came here it was great, just a super long wait for an appointment. I decided to come back for a gel manicure with my little sister. Ironically, we both liked the same pale pink color. We were seated immediately which was surprising considering we were walk-ins. My tech got started right away since I was getting gel, it'd take a little longer than my sisters. Just had regular mani/pedi this morning and polish is peeling/ chipped... old... and catching on sweaters, towels, my hair...anything you might rip your item on ruin your item with or rip a nail... which then would need to be cut!!! This place is awful. They don't honor appointments, will not schedule manicures and pedicures at the same time, and you're lucky if you get someone who does a decent job. My last manicure was horrible and I was cut multiple times. I had them redone the next day and they charged me full price after agreeing to discount -- and the woman who did my nails was rude to me the entire time. Worst manicure and pedicure I've ever had. One lady did my manicure and pedicure in 40 minutes with gel removal on hands and callus removal on my feet. I still have dead cuticle on my nails, they didn't fully remove the gel off my nails and it's hard to tell in the picture since I just wanted a clear coat, but the polish doesn't even cover entire nail. Dirt is still under my nails. I never complain, but this is so bad. They offered to fix it, but I had another appointment to go to so they gave me $2 off. I will not go back. read more

Such a great experience!! We went in for a full set with design, and a gel manicure. Tiffany did the full set and Hanna did the gel manicure. They were both done extremely well, both of them were very caring and took their time in making sure our nails looked great. The front desk lady was super nice, and so was everyone else! Towards the end we got to chitchatting and we let them know it was one of our bdays. They were nice enough to play us the Happy Bday song and even gave us a certificate for our next visit as a gift! I would highly recommend this place to anyone, but definitely make an appointment in advance. Also, cash is preferred. The man who did my nails managed to gouge me in the first 5 minutes and proceeded to do a manicure that only lasted 2 days( a personal record.) This was my second time attempting to give this place a try. I came here maybe over a year ago and the girl doing my manicure had her headphones in the entire time, didn't do my cuticles and my nails chipped within a week even though it was gel. I called and asked if they had any availability for a mani pedi within the next 15 minutes( I live down the street) and they said, "Yes come in we will take you right away." I came in and there were probably 5 people waiting. I told them that I had just called and told them my name and they said,"Oh yeah you're going to have to wait, how much time do you have?" I told them never mind. I understand that they can get busy and people walk in and they have other appointments but don't tell me to come in if you can't take me. What a horribly uncomfortable and unsettling experience. I needed to have my acrylics removed and a new set applied. When I sat down with nail tech Sally she was hurried, rude, and uncommunicative. She used the sharp edge of an new tip as her tool to try and wedge under my acrylics to pop them off. It was painful. NOT OKAY. I tried to give her clear nonverbal cues that she was hurting me (wincing, pulling my hand back, etc). When those were ignored I told her plainly that it hurt. She was unapologetic - grabbed a nail clipper instead and tried to hastily chip the acrylic which resulted in her cutting my natural nail, into the nail bed. I took my hand away and she got visibly annoyed. Rolled her eyes then finally brought out acetone to soak the rest of my nails. However, each nail was soaked less than 1 minute (ineffective) then she proceeded to use the new tip again to pop them off. I decided at this point just to bite my tongue and deal with it. I started questioning myself -thinking "is this the standard removal process at salons these days? am I being overly dramatic?" The rest of my appointment I sat there in discomfort. Walked away with a new set that looks sloppy, uneven, and not worthy of the $50 + $8 tip that I paid. Once I got home (with nails throbbing), I was so bothered that I did some research on standard acrylic removal process and confirmed that my experience is 1) not normal and 2) unacceptable. Do not allow a tech to do this to you. Insist that they soak for 10-15 mins first to break down the acrylic for a pain-free removal that will preserve the health of your natural nail. Apparently salons are doing this more and more to save time and churn more customers. You are a number to them. It's disappointing. That said, I know there are many responsible salons out there that DO care and that I will happily support. Nails 2000 is not one of them. read more

I was disappointed to find out that their website pricing is inaccurate. Ended up paying $39 dollars for my toddlers mani/pedi rather than the $26 I was expecting. 6/21 - In the summers, I would get pedicures often, just ask my old nail place in Temecula. I was in there every few weeks. Now that I'm down in Carlsbad, I am still looking for a nail place I can rely on. I live down the street from this place, but it looks like I won't be coming back. I took my daughters here to get manicures and pedicures before my cousin's wedding. It happened to be my oldest's birthday that day and I've brought her here before and a kid's manicure/pedicure was typically $20, so when my little one wanted to have her first manicure/pedicure for having her birthday a few weeks prior, I decided to bring her along. I arrived and they took me almost immediately. My nail lady was Rosie, she was really good, took time on my massages, did a great job on the flower design on my toes, and kept telling the business owner that my daughters are next in line. The business owner, however, didn't listen and while my daughters sat there waiting, she took other people who came in after us. At first, I thought that maybe they had reservations, so I didn't say anything. Then, 2 seats even opened up next to me and still nothing, yet, they seated a young girl and her mother there instead of my daughters. Finally, I said something, and another lady started my oldest on her manicure at the table, and another lady took my youngest for a pedicure. It was her first experience and I wanted her near me, yet, we're all separated, all in different seats and stations. The other two nail ladies rushed through the pedicures and massages, added flowers without checking with me, the paying consumers. Of COURSE my daughters will say yes if you ask them if they want a flower on their hands and feet! They don't know better! The total was a lot more than I expected and when I came back in with my card to get stamped, instead of stamping me 3 times, for myself and my two kids, she stamped it once. I don't care how old my kids are, they are with me and they are consumers as well. They are paying customers as well! To overlook them, separate them from me and to rush through their manicures and pedicures, is completely unprofessional! I will not be returning here again. I feel bad, because I really liked Rosie and wanted to request her in the future. Too bad she works at this establishment. It's not her that I'm avoiding, it's this place as a whole. Oh and my girls' nail polish chipped the next day! What a waste of money! read more

Just tried Nails 2000 Plus for the first time today and left disappointed with throbbing nails from over-processing. I scheduled my appointment for a simple gel manicure with a friend. I showed the technician a photo of what I'd like (an ombré French manicure), but the technician didn't explain ombré wasn't available in gel and applied acrylic to my natural nails. The thick acrylic atop my natural nails without any added length was not an attractive look! My nails looked bulky and unnatural so I spoke up and asked them to remove the acrylic. Instead of offering to redo my nails, the technician raised her voice and complained that removing the nails would take too long. After growing my nails out for four weeks, I left the salon with nothing but thin and brittle nails. I called and ask if they were willing to take me even though they closed in 45 minutes. Cool but unfortunately from the moment I got there I got super nasty looks for coming in a little late. So okay then I asked them for just a manicure set which turned out to be the most rushed treatment I've ever experienced. My lady was calm and respectful but you could just tell she was trying to get out of there. My manicure literally only last 5 days for the price of $65 plus tip. Nails 2000 offers manicure, pedicure and gel nail services at a great price. My girlfriend and I had a pamper date with an appointment at Nails 2000. We were seated together right at the time of our appointment on a busy Saturday afternoon. Her pedicure began before mine and I could tell that they were trying to get someone to work on me for about 10 minutes. As I waited and noticed what a great job the ladies and gentleman were doing. My technician was working on a set of gel nails and I could tell that she was disinterested in performing a pedicure. She had good skill cleaning and polishing my toes, but when it came to the massage she was horrible. She was not paying attention or even looking at me and was constantly gazing at something across the room. Her body was twisted in a way that her feet were facing me but her entire upper body faced the door while. She has two hands but only used one of them at a time while giving me the worst foot massage ever. At one time her hands stopped moving altogether and she was turned the other way so I asked her if everything was okay, but I do not think she understood. Her name was Annie, avoid Annie. Nails 2000 still gets 4 stars due to what I observed. It is clean, well stocked with good polish colors and every other employee was doing a great job. read more
