I was a faithful customer of Nails 2000 Plus for about 3 years. Every other week I would go for something called the "Princess package", which is a manicure and pedicure. About a year ago, I decided to bring my two teenage daughters in to treat them to a manicure and pedicure. I noticed that the staff was very rude to them, rough with them and even caused one of them to bleed and didn't apologize. They also acted short tempered with them when they asked a question. I thought this was strange because that's not how I've been treated there at all; I'd always been treated with kindness and respect. I continued to go there every other week and again when the holidays rolled around, I treated my girls there and the same thing occurred!! Both girls were treated like they were vile specimens that couldn't be dealt with! At that same time, my appointment was also rushed through- my manicure and pedicure, which always took about 1 hour and 20 minutes and included a 15 minute leg massage, mask and paraffin to the hands and feet- none of which were completed, took less than 30 minutes and was done incredibly poorly. Ive racked my brain with why this was occurring... maybe they thought the girls weren't going to pay them well (I always pay their bill and tip 20%), maybe they didn't want the extra business, maybe they felt rushed, maybe they were just generally unhappy with life??? I decided then and there that I will never go back and I haven't been back since. read more

They deleted my last review so I'm rewriting this because I think everyone should know before visiting I'm writing this because my friend was seriously mistreated by this salon--and it resulted in a dangerous medical issue that should never happen from a pedicure. She went in for a manicure and pedicure, and the nail tech cut her toe with what appeared to be unsanitized tools. She did bleed, but was trying to be polite and said it was okay at the time. A few days later, she developed paronychia, a painful bacterial infection that's commonly caused by dirty tools during nail services. She ended up with a fever and only then realized how serious it was. A doctor confirmed the infection and said it could've spread and become life-threatening if she hadn't gotten treatment. She had to go to the hospital, pay out of pocket for antibiotics, and miss work to recover. When she went back to explain the situation calmly, the same nail tech who cut her denied that she bled (which actually confirms she remembered the incident). The staff laughed at her, spoke in another language while she stood there, and refused to take real responsibility. They only refunded her pedicure--not the full service--which is unacceptable. Honestly, a simple apology and some accountability would've gone a long way. She wasn't angry--she just wanted them to acknowledge the situation and make it right. But instead, they chose to be dismissive and disrespectful. This isn't just bad customer service--it's a serious health and safety issue. We've reported the salon to the California Board of Cosmetology and hope they are investigated. Please think twice before going here. No one should risk their health over a manicure and pedicure. The salon was quite busy, which shows how popular it is, but the staff stayed organized, friendly, and attentive the whole time. The atmosphere was lively but still felt clean and professional. I had picked out a color when I first came in but when the nail technician took it out to look at the colors we determined that the actual polish was brighter than what the sample had shown. She helped me pick out two more colors that were similar and I decided on the second one. I appreciated the simple cleaning of my nails, filing them down and then applying the polish. No extra shaving down of my nails which I appreciated. No extra massaging or anything like that but I appreciated the simplicity of it all. They had two different cooking shows on their TVs which were really entertaining to watch. I was out within 40 minutes. About $40 for the gel manicure, not including tip. I came back here again because the first time they didn't do a horrible job. I won't be returning anymore. I showed them the design I wanted for my nails, they told me they don't have the exact gold color on the photo, which I was fine with as long as the design is the same. I had a male technician start my hand first, after preparing my nails it switched to a female, she told me that he cannot do my design. I appreciated the honesty and had trust in her as she was so confident that she can take over. When I had my nail designs in the past, usually the technician will do one nail and make sure that I am happy with the design before doing the entire hand. I believe her name was also Haile? She proceeded to do all my fingers and I can't help but look and make sure it's what I wanted. It didn't look right from the beginning, so I commented. She assured me by telling me it's not finished yet. Time goes by, she never checked with me and completed my nails. I wanted to scream when I saw my hand. I was freaking out internally, but tried to rationalize. maybe it's me? Maybe there's something wrong with my eyes? I paid and still left a generous tip and went to my car. I sat there for 5-10 minutes still in shock. I tried to envision having these acrylic set for 2-3 weeks and asked myself if I would be okay with that. I went back into the salon and apologized for the inconvenience to have them redone. The female technician kept blaming on the difference in color,. However there's ONE nail that looked good, all other fingers were horrible. If all fingers looked like my right thumb I would definitely be happy. So I know it wasn't the color difference. The same female nail tech took off her work and redid my nails. I chose a simple nail color, no design. She rushed through it and now 2 weeks later I have 2 nails that chipped. I have never had ANY nails chip with acrylic in the past countless times I've had it. I went back to have them fix the chip and they charged me for the repair. I would be fine with it if it looked nice, but they can't even do a simple repair right. The nails they fixed looks so odd and obvious, shape is different and color is more opaque. I told the nail tech that I had to have it skin toned due to my workplace restrictions and my first few nails came out purple looking. The set ended up looking chunky, this is possibly due to the fact I had to have it short. A month later, my nails have never felt so weak. I don't really think I'll get acrylics again, but I may return for normal gel or pedicure just to give a second chance. The plus side is they are quick, and readily available.
