HUZZAH!!! YEASSSSS Ma'am........ A great new nail salon and spa that I kind of stumbled across Its modern, its sleek, its refreshing... SO went here for a no chip mani....well let me tell you, Nas has about 50-60 no chip colors....no joke...I was like all of these??? HAHA. I am used to about a choice of 10...nope, not here. Wow, I was impressed. The staff was so sweet and totally helped me pick a color because I was totally overwhelmed. The stations were clean and modern. Not to mention, they use sterilized equipment that they re-sterilize after EACH use and throw away the buffers, etc that cannot be sterilized. Yep, its true...they use even a different set for your toes-ies and fingies....nice. I like that. I know its clean...they have them all wrapped in sterilized packages...like they have in the hospital for surgical equipment...I like getting a clean mani. The actual mani was great. Also, they give you a little massage after...which most places have thrown by the waste side with the new no chips. They also offer a variety of drinks...coffee, tea and sangria. A nice touch. The staff is super professional and nice. There was no "side conversations" going on between employees, which happens so frequently at these places. If you are interested in checking it out, email me....I have a coupon for 50% off a classic manicure or $7.50 off other nails services. I can email you for a little bit of a discount to check out a new place that is looking to please! read more

I'm done. Six years of living in Chicago, trying nail place after nail place. Some were great - I thought I had found my bet with Amy's Nail Gallery in Bucktown. But Amy's, though wonderful, is time consuming and almost always is off schedule, even when you have an appointment. They also have a couple of employees who are not quite as good as the others. I've had several visits with Nas, and each has been spectacular. Appointments start on time, every single person who's done my nails has been equally talented, the place is spotless and fun to hang out in, and the prices are crazy cheap for what you get. $40 for a mani pedi, and only $63 for a pedicure and a no chip manicure. Huge selection of colors, many of which work for me. And the best part is that the employees actually seem happy and glad to be there. Best place I've found in Chicago. read more

Oh my goodness, this salon is amazing. I scoured reviews of Chicago Yelp to find *the best* nail salon for my sister's bachelorette/wedding manicure. David organized our group (5 ladies), and everything was amazing. Not only were they ready and waiting for us, but everything ran ON TIME. Seriously, when does that happen? We picked our colors, they remembered what kinds of mani/pedis each woman was getting, and they served us the champagne and strawberries I brought. I can't speak highly enough of their customer service - as soon as our glasses were empty, David poured us more. Oh, and my sister (the nail connoisseur) said it was the best no-chip manicure she's ever received. Please, please believe that I'm one of the hardest to impress people, and Nas Salon blew me away. read more

This is my new go to Salon! I started going because some friends gave me a gift card & now I am hooked. My first no chip lasted 3 weeks with out a single chip!! Only went back so soon because I wanted a new color. Today Julia did such a great job taking her time & making sure that I loved my shape, color, shade & more. Highly recommend. read more

Absolutely the best of the best no chip manicures. Anywhere else is a waste of time. You won't get the variety of colors you want, the service and attention to detail cannot be compared to. Their sanitation practices are impeccable. I'm the type of person who likes to sit and enjoy the silence, and it is obvious they respect that here. They're so pleasant that I don't mind the chit chat. Good people, good service, and a no chip beyond comparison. read more

This place was a disappointment. I read the reviews and looked on their website and became very hopeful that this might become my regular nail salon, no such luck. First off I'll say that this place looks amazing, just beautiful. That's the only good thing I'll be saying about this place, oh and they give you a free drink. I received a mani-pedi, the website states 5 dollars off for adding any manicure with a pedicure I was told that was not true. I was also a little confused about the callus treatment and so was the girl doing my feet. It states on their website that they do callus treatments but when I asked she said " we didn't have one". Later she went in the back and found something to rake across my feet, little good that did. Massage was ok light pressure and it lasted about a minute and a half. Polish was also ok, kind of thick and it was ALMOST an even coat. Not the cheapest price coming in at 38 dollars. I also felt like they only lightly sprayed the tubs and barely wiped them down. Next was my manicure this is what really upset me she asked if I wanted my cuticles cut I said "sure". Next day they started to burn when I was washing my hands. She cut way to much and then the day after that the skin started to peel back. My hands have never looked this horrible, EVER!! This place is smoke and mirrors, it seems like they want to offer a great service but have poor execution and are completely ignorant about how to actually CARE for nails. read more

I really can't oversell this place. The staff is very nice and incredibly good at their jobs. They remember me every time and make a point of seeing how I'm doing and it feels like I'm hanging out with friends. The facility is clean and tastefully decorated and is mixture of classy and homey. I have done their no-chip manicures the last 4/5 months. Their no-chip manicures last for a full month. They are just so incredibly solid. The only time that they chip is when my nails get too long and break. The one time that I went to another place, it was peeling off within two weeks. I learned my lesson, I'll never go anyplace else. I get compliments on my manicures all the time and I always tell them with great enthusiasm to come here. It's honestly fantastic and one of my favorite monthly routines is coming in and picking out my monthly color with lots of friendly banter with the staff. read more

I've been wanting to try this place for awhile as I live right around the corner and it has great reviews! I was really impressed. It was extremely CLEAN, cleaner than any place I have been to in the city. Additionally they were able to take me on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment which I also appreciated. The service was really, really good as well. They woman who did my pedicure was meticulous and her work was flawless. My only complaint is that I wish I would have gotten a longer scrub and massage but I understand most salons in the city prefer to charge more for those services. All in all NAS will be a go to for me now in the neighborhood! read more

Nas = clean, modern, organized, professional, friendly, comfortable, and did I mention clean? I have lived in Chicago for 4 years and been to my fair share of nail salons and Nas is hands down the best. Why? 1. Huge variety of polish options-- the most I have ever seen in a salon for no-chip--and they were meticulously organized. 2. For each service, the nail tech uses a set of sealed sterilized tools that he/she opens in front of you. That alone would have gotten me to come back. 3. Complimentary beverage. Why not?! 4. The decor is modern; feels more like an urban spa than a nail salon, and you're treated like you're at a spa. The customer service is amazing. 5. I have made Nas my one-and-only because of the no-chip manicure. I don't want to downplay the pedicure (it was amazing) but my no-chip manicure was the best I have ever had. I got it done 5 weeks ago today (yes, FIVE!) and I kid you not, I don't have a single chip (I work on a computer all day). Usually my no-chips chip around day 14; 18 if I'm lucky. My nails have grown out at the base so need to be redone, but I wanted to wait to see how long they lasted before chipping. I guess I won't find out! No-chip really means NO chips! read more

BEST NO CHIP EVER!!! I mean seriously, every other no chip I have ever had has started to peel off after a week of wear, yet this one lasted 3 weeks! Only one spot started to peel, and that was because I smashed my finger and broke the nail at the side. It probably would have even lasted longer than 3 weeks had I not been annoyed by the look of the outgrowth. Was there for a bachelorette party/ wedding manicure (yeah matt and LB A!!) at the end of June for 5 ladies and everything was amazing! They have such a great selection of colors for no chip, but also great for regular colors as well. Everything was truly fantastic- great massage chairs, great spa pedi service with parrafin treatment as well. Leg massage was great as well. They kept our champagne glasses filled with the champagne and wine we brought, and kept passing berries around that the maid of honor brought with for the party as well. Truly fantastic service, and these guys know what they are doing! Lea was my mani pedi lady, and she was so good! I am extreemly picky about how my nails are filed and shaped, and I didnt even have to ask her to get a few of the bits underneath the nail that always pop up after you wash your hands/ pick them out. Yeah. Im picky, I know, but Lea paid such great attention to detail! I think my only real complaint about this place is that they have TOO MANY no chip colors! I think the bride and I spent at least 10 minutes going back and forth over which ones to pick, and then they even said that if we didnt see the exact color we wanted they would be happy to mix some colors to get one we wanted. Who does that?!!! Amazing people, thats who. Completely worth every penny ladies and gents, best place ever! Wish it were closer to my place and I would be going there every time! As for now though, this is only going to be a special treat... perhaps before a Cubs game treat. read more

First time to a salon and now I have high expectations. this place is a must! I walked in after a cubs game and discovered no-chip manicure. I was overwhelmed with friendly and energetic staff that offered me a drink (tea or wine) to enjoy while getting my nails done. Great environment to sit back and relax while making new friends, best part is the staff will chat it up with the whole time. read more

This place was amazing! I was in town for a business trip and decided to get my nails done. The no-chip gel nails were only $40 and the tech was very conscientious while doing my nails. I will definitely come here every time I visit Chicago! read more

Nailography - Loved my gel French manicure! - Nail Salons Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

I'm torn on this review. On one hand, I love their no-chip, the free green tea, the ambiance and the staff. In the other, the pedicure I got had the most half-assed exfoliation I've ever had. I was literally two light swipes on each area and on to the next step. NO people, not the way to exfoliate. In truth, I'm not sure I have the right to complain, as it was a tack on to my no-chip and only a $20 pedicure. I wonder if for an extra $5, could I get a special pedi meant to exfoliate? I do love their manis, and will keep coming back because it's the best I've found so far. Hopefully my next pedi will be more thourough. read more

This place is awesome!! One of the BEST mani/pedi I've ever had. I was home in Chicago visiting family and I called a hour ahead to see if they had an appointment available and they did. The place is extremely clean and they offer you a drink of tea, coffee or sweet raspberry tea. I think you can also BYOB. Kelly was my technician and she did a very good job on my no chip mani and pedi. Its been almost two weeks and my nails still look new. She was also very quick yet through as I was trying to get out to make a play that night. I wish Nas was here in VA but I guess I'll have to settle for just visiting when I'm in town. read more

The best nail salon I have ever been to hands down. So beautiful and clean inside. The staff is excellent! I do wish that it wasn't cash only tips, I rarely have cash on me and it would be a lot easier for me if I could add it on to my receipt. I don't see myself ever going to another salon in Chicago. read more

This salon is pretty good. My no chip manicure and regular pedicure stay on FOREVER, which I personally love. Yes they're a little thick but I'd rather that than have them peel off in a week. They're also very skilled at specialty designs. The only thing I didn't like was the eyebrow wax which came out too thin for my taste, even though I had asked for only a touch up. Got my wedding nails done here and got a ton of compliments. I definitely recommend them for specialty nails. read more

My friend and I went here to get pedicures and we fell in love. The technicians are very personable. Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. We made an appointment (which I would suggest doing) and were taken right on time. We loved our pedicures so much that we made another appointment with them a few weeks later for no chips and pedicures. The no chips were very good. It lasted me for about 18 days, 10 of which I was in Florida. It help up against the sun, chlorine, and sand. This place did not disappoint! read more

I love Nas and keep coming back for more! The staff not only does excellent quality work, but they are patient and careful, taking extra time to make sure the manicure is impeccable lasts a long while. Most of my no-chip manicures from here last me a good 3 weeks; all my friends are always amazed when they ask if I've recently gotten a manicure and I tell them it's two weeks old! I've been to several different nail techs at Nas and they've all done equally great work. The salon location is convenient, stylish, and clean. I love that you can text them to set up appointments, it's very convenient. Even though you pretty much need an appointment to get in at the salon, they are very accommodating even on the busiest days and often call me when they have openings earlier in the day I'm scheduled for to see if it's more convenient for me. I brought a small party here (4 people) for my birthday and the service and treatments were excellent! You won't find a better manicure or overall salon experience anywhere! read more

Nas is simply the best! I've been going to Nas for over a year now and even after I moved to a different neighborhood I am still loyal to David and his staff! For starters, this place just looks like the salon you want to go to. It's always clean and they always manage to fit me in with minimal wait. They have a really large assortment of colors on their wall and I've never been dissatisfied with my color choice. When I had trouble deciding on a no chip color my technician was very upfront about how it dries much darker and steered me towards a better option I've gotten pedicures, manicures, and no chips as Nas as well as seen almost every technician and it's always an amazing job! Even when I opt for a regular manicure (instead of a no chip) I don't see flaws in my nails for at least a week, usually longer. The technicians are patient and will not let you leave without the perfect nails! I recommend this place to everyone! read more

So, yesterday was my first time at this salon. I think it was Jackie who did my nails, but I'm not completely sure (when the receptionist told me her name I couldn't really hear her). I'm always looking for a great place to get my nails done. I used to get fake nails, but as I've gotten older I feel like no-chip suffices better. I've been to a few salons in the Chicago area that have given me great service, but their no-chip always lifted. And then I found a great place that did amazing no-chip manicures, but their pedicures were mediocre. But this salon was great! My nail tech was sooo attentive to my feet and hands, which they needed! I did get a nude color no-chip which I rarely do because I'm so pale and it just blends in, but they look so neat and clean. I'll definitely be back in two weeks. Hopefully these last! We'll see! read more

This review is long overdue. The staff is fantastic and always accommodating . If you like friendly, professional service, this is the place!! I love Nas! There isn't one bad technician there-- I'm always happy. Everything about this place is comfortable and soothing, exactly what I want my nail salon to be. The staff are very friendly and you always get complimentary hot or iced tea. You never get rushed, and the prices are very reasonable. I've introduced a lot of girlfriends to Nas and now it's our go-to spot for manis/pedis. Their no chip manis last longer on my nails than most other salons do. Even though I'm moving out of the neighborhood, I'll keep coming back for Nas! read more

This nail salon far exceeded my expectations- it was the best manicure / pedicure I've ever had. Meticulous, clean and quick - we were in and out in a hour. My sister and mother were also with me. We had two mani/pedis (one was shellac) and one 60 min massage - it was $166 + 20% tips for all. Beyond reasonable, in fact I felt like it was a steal. We will return. read more

If I lived closer I'd come to Nas all the time. It's very clean (I love when you can see someone cleaning after you've just had a pedicure), the staff is super friendly (yes the staff here all speaks English - the ladies were originally from Vietnam and were recommending their favorite restaurants in the city), and they do a wonderful job. The kicker? $38 for a mani-pedi! To beat that, my nails STILL look great some 9 days after my visit - that's pretty darn impressive! I want to echo that the staff is all warm and inviting - not something you get all the time in Chicago nail salons. They have a menu of complimentary drinks (coffees and teas) and they really want to ensure you have a wonderful experience. read more

THUPER, DUPER nice folks. This might be a weird way to judge a place, but when it comes to nail salons... I totally judge a book by the cover. If it ain't clean inside, I don't want to go inside. Nas made a great impression on me. Friendly staff and clean facilities wins them two stars. Flexibility and great selection of colors? wins them two more stars. I got the classic manicure (not a bad price either), which only lasted a week, but probably because I partied a tad bit too hard at a wedding. I"LL BE BACK, NAS!!!! read more

THE BEST SALON. I've been coming here religiously, every 2-3 weeks, for over a year now. The place is very clean, looks nice, everything is well kept (equipment, furniture) and even the decor is very urban chic and well done. For this nice of a place you'd think it would be very expensive, but prices are totally in line with the other salons, and very reasonable, so you get to feel pampered AND not pay an arm and a leg. The owner David is SO nice, and you have the option of texting him to set up an appointment, and he always writes back immediately. SO convenient. And the whole staff is friendly, Avka is my guy though - he's seriously like a gift from above, my nails look fantastic every single time - the guy has some serious talent. Overall, just a rockstar team at this place. I know I'm raving here, but my review is way past due, I've been coming here for way too long to not have written this yet. Nas Salon deserves all the stars and then some! read more

Nas is the best neighborhood nail spot in Chicago. It's super clean and friendly, and they put a lot of care into the manis/pedis--you never feel rushed. All of the nail techs are great, but my favorites are Avka and Lina. Avka recently did awesome blue glitter nails for my baby shower (see photo), and they were the hit of the party. Prices are in line with what you'd pay anywhere, except here the quality is better. They give you a little discount if you pay in cash instead of credit. read more

Long overdue review. Best. Gel. Mani. In Chicago. I love Nas and have been going there for about 3 years. I will never go to another nail salon in Chicago. My gel manis last 2-3 weeks and they are done perfectly every time. Staff is so friendly and efficient. Shop is clean. The owners are fantastic. Pay by cash and you get a discount. Very nice and relaxing on the inside. My only complaint would be that my pedicure was fairly short and did not get the dead skin off my feet at all which is mainly why I like to get pedicures so that was a little disappointing. I think they are supposed to offer you a welcome beverage for your service as well which is a very nice touch, however I was not asked. read more

While waiting for A/C to be installed in my apartment, I decided to check out groupon to see what deals I could use immediately (in other words, where I could hang out with free air conditioning). I found NAS salon and $16 for an "ultimate" manicure sounded good, so I bought the deal and headed there. To start, the nail polish selection was awesome. I love Essie, and they had a ton of pastels prefect for summer. The people working there were very kind and accommodating as well - they offered me a complimentary drink, and the mani was very thorough. I hadn't had the paraffin wax treatment before, but it left my hands very soft, and the shoulder massage was great. My manicurist paid a lot of attention to detail, and my nails turned out great. They even brought me another drink they suggested without me even asking for it - raspberry iced tea - which was delicious! The people who work at NAS are very friendly, and the girl who did my nails (I think her name was Saya) was fantastic. If I'm in that area again, I'll definitely head back to NAS salon. read more

The only downfall was that they didn't have any magazines to read- but really, that's not what I was there for. I definitely will be back! Clean, lots of polishes to choose from, street parking during the day- great new find! read more

I was in Chicago for a short trip to visit a friend. I had a short amount of time in the afternoon and wanted to get a manicure. I found a Groupon Now for this place at a great deal for a manicure. It was a little farther than a few other places, but was worth the trip. Very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Large color selection of OPI and Essie, which impressed me becasue places near my home typically don't carry both brands. They also had a new color that I had been unable to find at another salon. Manicure was not rushed and well done. Short massage but good. Free beverages during the manicure. I enjoyed a cup of peppermint tea on a cold day. They used a small fan to dry nails and a drip dry at the end. I left the salon with a completely dry manicure that still looks great 3 days later. Overall I'm very pleased and impressed with the salon. It was a better manicure than I get a home. I wish I could come here regularly. I did not get the no chip manicure but talked with the staff about it. The color selection fo the no chip is great. They also talked about testing all the new produts with the staff to make sure they work and are things customers would want. read more

Best nail experience EVER. Got the greatest manicure in my life from Jenny and was welcomed by David. Felt right at home, especially with my complimentary wine and my super sweet nail tech Jenny. Quickly: was in the neighborhood & did a Groupon Now! search, clicked on purchase for a deluxe manicure, called Nas, David answered & welcomed me by. For some reason, Groupon did not go through (bad phone connection) so I called David & he said, no worries, I will honor that price regardless. Wow! Now that's an honest-to-goodness business! Throughout my manicure, clients walked in and called David and the other employees by name. It is really nice to know that businesses still exist on this planet where you can call someone by their actual first name! So I had the most professional, precise and pleasant manicure I have ever had. For the special $15 price!!! The OPI colors were plentiful and up-to-date/season. My nails are shiny and cute. I have received many compliments. To top it off, the deluxe manicure included not 1, but THREE dips in the hot wax for hands, a shoulder/neck massage, and the best hand massage to date. You must go here. It's a small place, a real hidden gem, so I recommend calling in advance. Believe me, you will love it! But don't tell too many people, LOL- because it will quickly become too busy.
