Best nail experience EVER. Got the greatest manicure in my life from Jenny and was welcomed by David. Felt right at home, especially with my complimentary wine and my super sweet nail tech Jenny. Quickly: was in the neighborhood & did a Groupon Now! search, clicked on purchase for a deluxe manicure, called Nas, David answered & welcomed me by. For some reason, Groupon did not go through (bad phone connection) so I called David & he said, no worries, I will honor that price regardless. Wow! Now that's an honest-to-goodness business! Throughout my manicure, clients walked in and called David and the other employees by name. It is really nice to know that businesses still exist on this planet where you can call someone by their actual first name! So I had the most professional, precise and pleasant manicure I have ever had. For the special $15 price!!! The OPI colors were plentiful and up-to-date/season. My nails are shiny and cute. I have received many compliments. To top it off, the deluxe manicure included not 1, but THREE dips in the hot wax for hands, a shoulder/neck massage, and the best hand massage to date. It's the second time I've come here and I'm going to make this my neighborhood spot. It's super easy to get an appointment here and they are so fast and detailed. It will blow your mind how quickly they work! With a complimentary white wine in one hand and a soothing hand mask on another, you'll get the full pampering treatment. Also -- my regular old mani (which cost less than $20) lasted me a whole two weeks which is INSANE. I've had no chip that didn't last that long. I don't know their secret, but it's a good one. I generally have a good outcome when I come here. The last two times the nail techs are expressionless and less than enthusiastic. I asked for a Towel to dry my legs after she left them sopping and went straight to painting without drying. My legs were cold and I wanted to pull down my pant legs. She looked at my rudely and asked what? I don't appreciate being treated like that. Hopefully they will work on their customer service. I thinks it's time for a new salon. read more

I normally think that a decent manicure is fairly standard and not something to rave about. That is until a few days after I visited Nas. I went there on Friday with a wedding party and had a great experience. They were all very nice, took great care of us, were accommodating with extra services and even BYOB. All of those items to me are worth a high review but mostly I expect them. What makes this place stand out is that after 5 days my nails only had 1 minor chip and that was because I knocked it into a door. I've never had a regular manicure last more than 3 days without a ton of chips. I even have a dark color which always show chips more but not this time. Highly recommend going here for manicures. This place is awesome. I went just because it was near me but ended up going back often to get no chip manicures. Service is great, efficient, a lot of colors to choose from, and the no chip doesn't wreck your nails like it does from other places (because they don't overdo it on filing the color off from the last time). I didn't read a single review, my husband got a mani pedi gift certificate from girls in his office and he wasn't able to use it before we moved out of state so I did. I called on a Wednesday to schedule a 1pm appt on Thursday. I walked in at 1:02 to everyone looking at me like I was crazy! The opposite of welcoming...not even someone saying "what do you need, ok pick your color" I've been there! When someone finally came over I was able to say I had a 1pm appt and could I please get mani first - no response, she just led me to a chair and walked away. 3-5 minutes later I asked how long and she walked away to look at something on her desk. I followed after a minute and she said she could have someone give me a pedi but want comfortable with that person giving me a mani. I found out why quickly - nothing against the person but she was so slow...a pedi shouldn't take more than an hour...I'm writing this as she's ever so slowly wiping the lotion off of my feet, it's 1:50 and she hasn't started polish!!!! I have kids to pick up at 3 and am worried I might not make it I'm not even giving the review based on quality, just service alone and it's the worst - I don't have high expectations for these kinds of places, but acknowledgement at the very least - I didn't even get that! There are about 5 other customers and about half have tea or water - I was not offered anything - I would never recommend this place! read more

What a great addition to the neighborhood!! Nas is WONDERFUL!! I went in this weekend for a pedicure and walked out with new feet!! First, everyone at Nas is SO NICE - sweet, kind, funny - and just great energy. Second, free wine, coffee, tea or beer - hello relaxation! Nothing like unwinding from a long day with a glass of wine and a sweet manicurist! Third, my pedicure lasted an hour. She was incredibly thorough. Normally I'm in a hurry, but I really didn't want to leave. It took an hour because my feet were TRASHED. She got rid of all the dead skin (gross, I know!), really freshened up my feet and then gave me a foot and calf massage I won't soon forget! Fourth, they are OPEN SUNDAYS!! Got a no-chip manicure and they were so attentive to detail! Literal perfection. Day 5 and my mani looks just as fresh as day one.

No chip lasted long! The service was ok, I came in an hour before close and felt like they were annoyed by that.

I have been going to this salon for over a year and I never had a complaint until now. I gave myself a two hour gap to do a mani, pedi and wax. The pedi took over an hour to do, and the mani is already pealing and my cuticles are extremely sensitive now and it hasn't been a week yet. They took so long with my pedi that I had to cancel my wax because I no longer had time. And I understand, make sure to have enough time for these services. However, as I mentioned, I've been going here long enough to know that a mani pedi usually takes 1 HR and 15 min or so. I go to pay, and the receptionist had an attitude while telling me that they only take venmo or quickpay and that accepting my card was a courtesy. I explained that I have always paid the same way for over a year and her response, "Well I have been working here for over 6 years." Not only was a smart response, but I heard her earlier while I was getting a pedi tell a customer she just moved from Indiana. She then clarifies that only tip is taken by venmo or quickpay (with an attitude). I no longer plan to go here for a mani and pedi. They lost a customer which I'm sure they can care less for. I plan to only go to see Silvia (Who does wax services) as she knows the importance of customer service. Oh and that pedi that took over an hour; started pealing as soon as i left the salon. read more

After reading many reviews on Nas I was really excited to give them a shot! I am always on the hunt for a great place to get a mani-pedi and I still haven't found that one perfect spot. I typically go to another location down Clark but parking is always an issue, which is why I loved the fact that Nas offered permits for their customers. Th overall atmosphere is nice and the prices aren't bad either. However, the lady who did my nails did a mediocre job. I have a few nails that were not shaped evenly or straight and I was cut 3 times while she cut my cuticles. I understand accidents happen but 3 times is a little ridiculous, I didn't even receive an apology. Then after 2 days of having my nails done almost all of them had chips. I did nothing for this to happen; no cooking, no cleaning, no work, nothing, and still freakin chipped. I was very disappointed, this does't even happen when I do my own nails at home. I am all for second chances but I don't know if I will ever return to this place. read more

Went in for a Brazilian wax. First timer, let me just say it helped that this place is BYOB! They were ready RIGHT when we got in even though we were a half hour early. They understood when we said we need a minute and some wine glasses :-) they even opened the bottle for us. Now for the waxer Sylvia was very nice and walked me through what she was going to do. This place is the best. I live a mile and a half south of the shop, and have tons and tons of mani/pedi places within a few blocks of my apartment, but it is so worth it to hike up to Nas. The polish application is impeccable, not a drop anywhere on my skin or cuticles. I've had my current pedi going on two weeks and it still looks flawless. I'm generally clumsy and stub my toes on things a lot, so this is pretty miraculous. On top of all of that, Nas is clean and pretty inside, it doesn't have that chemically nail salon smell, they have a polish and gel selection like I've never seen before, the employees are really friendly, and to top it all off you can sip a complementary beverage. My experience with Nas has always been excellent. Today I did not have that experience. I felt very uncomfortable and not welcomed. No one was super chatty or friendly. I forgot their credit card machine does not give you an option for a credit card tip. The lady cashing me out said "it's always been that way," in a snotty tone. Overall, I was disappointed in my experience today with the customer service. I've always encouraged friends and co workers to go here. It's difficult to bring cash when I use a bank that does not carry very many ATMs. I rarely carry cash so it's difficult to leave a tip. I do not plan on going back to Nas. My nails look perfect though, I just wish the customer service wasn't so awful today. read more

I have found my new nail place. Hands down. I have been 3 times (1 manicure and 2 no-chips). Both times the no chips lasted a good 3 weeks! I have never had much luck with no-chips in the past, but clearly Nas Salon and Spa knows what they are doing. They also have the LARGEST no-chip color selection I have seen. If you are indecisive like myself, prepare to come a little early just to have a chance to look at the colors (even though everyone is very patient). Nas is also great when it comes to pushing appointments back. I am not always prompt with my appointment times, but whenever I call to let them know, there is no problem pushing my time back. The place was amazing. Really great. i really do love it. The only problem was that I went in for an acrylic full set and walked out with a gel. Which is also fine except for the fact that I didn't expect to pay 55$ for a gel manicure. Gel usually runs for about 35$ and while I understand that this is a price difference with each store they was nothing in the store that says they would rob you. No signs or pamphlets that list prices and their yelp website says that gel full sets are 35$. Word to the wise bring a fat pocket when you come here ... you will have a great experience but you will pay the price. read more
