Nas is fantastic!! I have only been to this salon a handful of times, but have always enjoyed myself. They do not use OPI for nochip which I really appreciate. The quality of OPI is horrible!! They also have so many different colors to choose from. Nas prices are a little over from what I consider "normal," but for how good the techs are I really do not care. Plus the polish really does not chip. The only reason I end up going to get a nochip after two weeks is because my nails grow out. Thank you Nas for being awesome!!! read more

Went to Nas for a No-Chip Manicure today with Jagi. First off, the place is spotlessly clean and new instruments are used on every customer. Tools come straight out of a sealed autoclave package which was awesome. Second, they have EVERY color and brand of No Chip you could EVER want! Like 500+ colors. Third, Jagi was super friendly to talk with and she did a fabulous job. She really took her time and was meticulous in making sure my manicure looked neat. I can tell that this manicure will last at least the two weeks it's supposed to (I usually have a hard time getting more than a week out of most no chips). Last, she gave a great hand massage. Nas is hands down the best manicure place on the north side. Ive been to a few different people and each has been fabulous. I recent went to Avka and he was amazing. I went in with very unflattering hands and left with perfectly manicured and beautiful nails. They take their time, get your nails looking picture perfect and the manicure lasts longer than any other place I've been to. This was my first time here and I am so happy I found this place! My normal nail place was booked and I desperately needed a manicure for a wedding I was going to. I found Nas on Yelp and figured I would give them a go. I was able to walk in and get a no chip right away, but based on how busy they were I suspect this may not always be the case. The salon was super clean and I almost hugged my technician when I saw her grab a sterilized pack of tools. The fact that they autoclave their tools is amazing! My no chip is flawless and the attention to detail was impressive. My tech made sure that my lines were clean and the polish at the cuticle bed is even. I cannot emphasize enough how great my manicure turned out. I have found my new go to nail salon. My only regret is not finding this place sooner! read more

A group of 8 of us went for my friend's bachelorette and Nas Salon couldn't have been better! We each got a mani/pedi and the bride to be got a shellac manicure and it was perfect. We brought champagne and orange juice and our glasses were never empty. It was around $65 for each of us (since 7 people paid for 8 mani/pedis) which I think is totally reasonable considering they closed down the salon for us. Thank you so much for the excellent service! No chip manicures by Jackie will last over two weeks. She is so good at her job. Additionally, the place is clean and comfortable. What I enjoy most is how quiet it is. I think that bc they charge a hair above your local places, they get a clientele who is there to be pampered and relaxed. No loud people on cell phones or bored kids waiting for mama. It's just so peaceful. Plus, they offer you a free beverage upon arrival. I'd recommend this place to anyone. read more

I scheduled an appointment here because I'm new to the neighborhood and was hoping to find a nearby salon. Wow, talk about disappointment! Ive never had customer service so poorly. I came in for my appointment, a few minutes early and they were barely ready to get me started. I'm the type of person that likes their nail polish to match, so I prefer the same brand and color for my regular polish and no chip polish. Their color selection was not great and they barely had any matches at all. It's 2021, that should not be the case in any nail salon. Invest in your color selection, that's what your business is based on. Once the employee finally found a matching color that I decided to settle on, they began my no chip removal. Once the color was off, and the nail tech began shaping my nails, I could tell this was only going to go downhill. I have simple shaped nails, sharp square, so nothing fancy. She began to bring in the sides of my nails, and rounding the top, totally ruining them. She stopped to check in, which is when I corrected her, and I proceeded to let her finish the rest of my hand. Once she finished filing the one hand, and I took a look, I was so upset. My nails were lopsided, slanted, uneven, just horrible. If that's her version of a properly shaped hand, there's no way I was letting her ruin my other one. I stopped her and headed to the front desk. I'm sure the employee knew there was a problem, I believe she said her name was Wan, but she totally bypassed it until I said something. She asked if I just wanted to pay for the removal to which I stated "sure" and she charged me the $7. It wasn't until after the transaction was complete and I asked for the manager/owners name to call at a later time that she asked what the problem was. Unbelievable. If I'm schedule for a manicure and pedicure, and I'm checking out 20 mins after I arrived, then it's obvious that there's an issue, or maybe I'm the only one with common sense here. Idk. But I digress.. that's when she asked me what was wrong and I informed her that the nail tech had totally ruin my nail shape, and you wouldn't believe her response.. she really had the nerve to say "you didn't let her finish". EXCUSE MEEEEE?! Not only did I let her finish, I stopped and corrected her. I showed her the comparison between my untouched, unruin, unfiled hand and the ruined "work" on the opposite hand. I asked for the managers or owners name to which she would not provide and told me that they'll know when I call. Then I finally asked for her name before walking out. There's no way I would ever go back into that salon, and that's solely based on the customer service I received.. I could've given another nail tech a chance. But that's over. At this point, I want my wasted $7 back for a botched nail shaping, because it wasn't even a full manicure. read more

I can't say enough about Nas and the customer service. Of course the quality of the work is what keeps me going back, but it's the treatment i receive by the staff that prompted me to write a review. The salon is clean, calm, inviting and they have a ton of no chip colors! I love the atmosphere and the location is great. They have magazines galore (none of which are torn, old, outdated, etc...). The pedicure stations have the wonderful massage chairs and the foot bath is extremely clean. Every time I've visited I receive the same consistent amazing customer service. They great you right away and offer you a complimentary beverage. The staff is friendly and not at all invasive. If you want to read or talk to a friend you don't feel pressured into chatting with the technician. But if you want to chat, they are super sweet. The manager is AMAZING. I feel horrible I don't know his name, but he has gone above and beyond several times for me. The most recent is regarding appointment scheduling. I called yesterday for an appointment for myself and a friend. i wanted noon as we had a prior appointment that morning. He apologized as they only had either an earlier morning appointment or later in the early evening. Neither which would have worked. Very quickly he offered to try to make it work for 11am so I wouldn't have to adjust my prior appointment that much. I appreciated that in itself. About twenty minutes later he called me back and told me he requested that another customer move their appointment back a bit to fit me in at 11:30am so I wouldn't have to change my earlier appointment at all. He also texted me later to confirm that it was all set. I have NEVER had a nail salon go that far to make sure I was happy. I always get their no chip manicure and classic pedicure. I have pretty small nails and the technicians always do a wonderful job. I've had my no chip last 3 weeks without even chipping a bit or rolling up at the sides. The pedicures are wonderful as well. I've never been pushed into another service or product by any one there. I can't say the same for just about any other nail salon I've ever been to. I'm an avid spa goer and i received better treatment at Nas than I did at the Spa at the Wit or Bliss. Pay a little more than your average nail salon on the corner and feel appreciated for once. read more

Nas Nail Salon is the best nail place in Chicago! I have been searching for a good nail place and I have found it. The overall ambiance is very relaxing. I loved the decor, the music and the spa environment.And who doesn't love complementary beverages? My friend and I went here for the first time for a Vitamin E No Chip Manicure and Classic Pedicure. I loved the sheer quantity of nail polishes in their collection. They not only carry the classics but offer so many varieties of no chip polishes. Most nail salons don't carry as many no chip polishes. As I went to my pedicure station, I saw an unopened sterilized nail kit just for me! They take their cleanliness very seriously. My nail technician/ artist, Bella took her time. I am a perfectionist when it comes to my nails. She took so much time on me that I was pleasantly surprised. I have been to places where they hurried and I ended up with annoying air bubbles and haphazard no chip manicures. Bella painted my nails to perfection- even after numerous examinations of my nails, I still find nothing wrong.Every nail nook and cranny has been painted. Bella really likes what she does and has perfected her trade. I highly suggest her, and I am sure the other technicians are just as good here. First,my friend and I had the pedicure.The massage seats were so comfortable, I found it hard not take a nap. Bella worked on my feet with patience and a keen eye. My feet were pampered like crazy- manicured, salt scrub, lotion, massage and more. I chose not to match my toes and fingers but my friend wanted to match her no chip nail color to a regular polish for her feet. The nail salon staff worked meticulously to mix the regular nail polish colors to get the precise shade as the nail chip polish color!! That was above and beyond expectation. We were then taken to do our manicure. Once again, Bella was as much a perfectionist as me and took a long time with my nails. She knows what she is doing and made sure that her job was excellent. At the end of our service, the nail staff realized that my friend was wearing closed toed shoes. Even though the polish on her toes should have been dried by then, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that her nail polish not get smudged by adding some sort of nail oil as well as wrap her feet in plastic. Man these people take nails seriously! Last but not least- demographics. I drove from the suburbs and I was wary about parking. I was given free parking permit and there were tons of free parking. The CTA stop is also opposite the salon. All in all, the best salon hands down. read more

First let me say their customer service is above and beyond... my first visit was on a Friday evening and I did not have an appt, and found out they were booked for the evening but they made some re-arrangements and were able to squeeze me in for a no-chip mani in just a few mins wait! Now, I had gone to two other salons for no-chip and was dissatisfied with both, Nas was to be my last shot at no-chip and all I can say is WOW! Every other no-chip I have had never lasted much more than a week before it started fading, chipping, or lifting.... For my first no-chip at Nas, my tech was Lina and she did an amazing job! My mani lasted for 2 1/2 weeks and still looked good, minus the growth lines. I just went back for my 2nd no-chip this week, and I can definitely say that I will now be a regular at Nas Salon! read more

Awesome place! Super clean, great atmosphere, and the pedicures are amazing and very long lasting.

The only nail place I'll actually rave about. I'm used to the usual mediocre, barely speaks English, gets angry when you ask for a design type of setting. I was amazed when the lady asked me if I wanted to do a design for free! Her nails looked amazing so I just said to do what she did. The employees were SO nice and helpful. I had a lot of questions about the paraffin wax and the male associate jumped in to explain its benefits. Since it was my first time he let me try it for free. I believe the manicure is $15 which is right on point with what it should be. The only time that worked for me was their last appointment of the day, but I never felt rushed or unwanted. So happy that this salon is so close to me, although I would travel if needed to come here because the shellac manicures are THAT great. Clean salon, friendly staff, super hygienic, and the longest lasting shellac manicures I have found. I wish that they had more OPI shellac options to match with pedicures, but their manicures are so great and there are still plenty of color options to choose from that it's not an issue for me. What can I say that hasn't already been said? This place is the best! Really! We came here for a bachelorette party which I hosted this past Saturday. David (the owner) was professional and prompt with communication at all times prior to our party. When we arrived we parked with hazards at the corner to drop off the champagne (they are BYOB) and other party items. He told us to hold tight and found us a parking spot on the same corner. How awesome! We got started and after I poured our first round of mimosas David proceeded to refill our glasses. I mean really?! Talk about good customer service. The mani/pedis turned out great! The staff was very friendly (quiet no speaking in another language in front of us and all smiles), even when half of our party arrived an hour late. I have been asked several times if my nails are fake. They offer 5% discount for cash, complementary drink, and its a byob so a great place to have a girls day. Reminded me why mani can be such a waste of money. In on a Sunday for a regular mani: great color selection, groovy fingerless hand mitts for a good lotion-soak during the painting, very polite efficient service. So far so good and realistically worth the $18 (+tip). Unfortunately, the polish never really seem to dry solid. I left with a "tacky" feeling on my nails (even after a decent amount of time under the dyer with spray) and then had serious wear by Monday. As in, 'should I just take it off' wear. Weird, right? Full disclosure I did cook dinner later in the evening...a full 4 hours later but its possible the food prep affected the polish(?). Disappointment is a good word. I've been to Nas Salon twice now. First for a no-chip manicure, which was mediocre, and a lip wax. Good prices, but not the greatest job. The second time I ran in for a lip wax two days before my engagement party. Imagine, I got my hair done, nails nicely polished (somewhere else), and all I needed was a quick lip wax. Since it was only $5, I decided to go to Nas. Well today is the day after the wax, and I have a two inch long scab on my upper lip, where my skin was ripped off. I have gotten about 40 lip waxes in my life, and I've NEVER had anyone rip my skin like this. Obviously, I've been upset and embarrassed. So, after debating, I decided to call and speak with the manager. He didn't really seem to understand what I was trying to tell him. He asked who did the wax, and gave the phone to the girl!!!! She barely offered an apology, after suggesting it could be from a face cream I used that made my skin sensitive, and told me to put Neosporin on it. She said, she really didn't know what she could do for me. I will NOT be going back there, and would not recommend a place that clearly isn't qualified to be doing certain salon services. read more

My Mom and I had an appointment for a mani/pedi (an upgraded package - with paraffin and shoulder massage). We arrived a few minutes early for our appointment and were not greeted when we walked in, everyone just stared at us without saying anything. We sat down for our pedi's and someone started on my Mom while I waited an additional 10 minutes for mine to start, even though we had an appt. All of their polish is full of thinner, which is such a pet-peeve of mine. The paraffin was fine, i dont think it did a whole lot but that isnt the salons fault. Their leg and hand massages lasted MAYBE 30 seconds, and they didnt give us shoulder massages. My nails were gummy and messed up before leaving and i didnt bump them. They put the polish on thick and sloppy and then use a brush to clean it up, another pet peeve of mine. I prefer someone who is actually able to "stay in the lines" and has to clean up a spot or two around the nail, rather than intentionally glooping all over my finger, leaving the polish way to thick and a total mess. Overall, i was incredibly disappointed in this nail salon and i have no idea how it has such good reviews. I did notice that most people were getting no chip manicures, so maybe no chip is a better experience. read more
