Was excited to try Nailacious, I've been in search of a friendly professional nail shop and when I saw they where having a grand opening I was inclined to give them I try. Took my daughter with me as she's been wanting to get her nails done (gel mani). I requested an appointment via Yelp and the owner Joanne responded quickly and got me set with an appointment. Joanne was extremely friendly and has a nice establishment. I can only give them 4 out of 5 stars due to the experience my daughter with her mani. I had a great experience with my mani nail technician Van. She was friendly and accommodating. She checked in for my approval as she worked on my nails (filing and shaping). I was able to witness her years of experience based on her technique and detail; she did a great job on my mani. My pedi on the other hand was mediocre; didn't catch the guys name but he didn't seem experience. The water in the tub was too hot. I had to pull my feet out rapidly as I was placing them in. He didn't provide the full service as listed. Despite his lack of attention; Van made up for it. She gave me a nice leg rub as he went to attend to another customer. Van also finished coating my toe nails when she witness his lack of technique. My daughter on the other hand had a "painful" experience. Literally...her nail technician cut her twice while doing her mani and despite telling her not to file the nail to much to avoid loosing the shape of her natural nails. She filed them too short and out of their original oval shape to a pointy like shape. The shape wouldn't have been to bad to accept however the gel paint was sloppy (pictures are posted). I want to believe that because it was the grand opening and the visit of friends and family had the technicians a little excited and not at the top of their nail game. Will I go there again? ABSOLUTELY! Joanne was a sweetheart and has a beautiful personality, definitely going back in hopes to have a better experience. I found this nail shop on yelp and decided to go last minute this past Saturday Morning. I was helped right away since no one was at the shop. The lady who helped me is an older lady with glasses. Didn't take her name. She was not friendly. I asked for regular pedicure and gel manure. She didn't clean the sides of my toe nails and did a poor job. I picked a bright yellow color and she was having issues painting my toes nails with a bright color. It seemed like she didn't have experience with bright colors. She moves to my Manicure, I told her to cut down and she didn't leave them straight. When she went to paint my nails again bright yellow she continue to struggle and what was supposed to be a pretty yellow looked like a 5 year old painted my nails. I'm usually not that client that complaints about every step but this was really upsetting. The nail salon is really nice and upgraded but they need to hire ladies that know what they are doing. I loved this place the first time I visited! Sadly my second visit was very different. I asked to do a 10min foot massage and was quoted $10, great! At 6 minutes of basically a lotion rub in (not massage) the pedicurist stopped and moved on to paint my toenails. I kind of looked up, looked at phone to double check the time and sure enough it was super short. I was bummed. I LOVED my pedi after my first visit. The paint job after my second visit also came off very quickly. Im giving it 2.5 1.5 star for the small and quiet atmosphere and 1 star because the lady helping me was really nice. The main deductions time time time and slowness. This is first time in 30+ years Ive been in a nail salon for 2 HOURS and 30 MINUTES. 1 of those hours was spent doing manicure and pedicure. I have never seen 2 people work more slowly in my life. Let me back up. I walk in at exactly noon. There are only 2 workers. One is working on one lady at the 3 chair nail stations. There are 7 spa pedicure chairs. 2 are occupied. One with a lady who is near finished and 1 lady waiting. They tell me 20 minutes wait i say fine. 30 minutes in the lady near finished gets up to leave and does, she runs water for me and then has me sit. My feet sat in that water for almost a hour. 1 hour!!. Midway I had to have her re up the hot water as it was now cold water my feet were swishing in. its 130 at this point. The woman in the nail chair is finally done and leaves and the lady who was working on her comes over to finish lady in pedicure chair and the lady who was working on her moves over to me. She makes mention that between my toes my skin is peeling and Im like lady they been sitting in water for a hour what do you expect? At this point there are only 4 of us in there. 2 workers and 2 customers. The lady quickly paints her toes and moves on to gel manicure. The lady tells me she has been here OVER 2 and half hours and is just glad its finally wrapping up, she had previously told me they take a long time. The worker does one hand of gel manicure and lady is completely fed up at this point, she said her toes are sloppy, I couldnt tell from my angle and that the gel is bubbly and lumpy. She tries to let her fix one gets fed up again and says just forget it, shes like ive been here 3 hours at this point and you guys dont do a good job. She pays something and storms out with one hand done. Its a small shop and while all this is taking place a party of 4 walks in and they want a gel manicure. They hear every word she said, along with when she looked at me and said im done. I said I dont blame you. Its about 2 at this point. After she leaves that lady calls the first of the party to get the gel manicure. My first thought was what about me? I was here first, I asked for a manicure too but you are just going to start on them? But I figure its only 2 of them maybe she is just leaving this lady to do all of me, while she starts on other customers. The new lady sits down and immediately changes her mind. Shes like you know what its a lot of us and its going to take a really long time were going to go somewhere else sorry. Now its just me in the shop. This freed the lady up to now do my manicure. I debated a few minutes whether I should even let her seeing how long I have been here already. But at this point my toes are half painted, and looking of being done no time soon and Im the only one in there so no choice but to focus and finish me. I notice they both mess up a LOT, constant brush dipping to clean up over polish. I have never seen people go so slow and also mess up a lot. I am finally done at 230 and its now pouring rain. I sat there so long that the massage chair almost had a reverse effect my behind hurt so bad from sitting so long and my back that was feeling better from the chair started to hurt If you care about your time I cannot suggest this place, 2 and half for me, 3 hours for another on a rainy sunday and its this slow. I shudder to think in warmer weather or say on a saturday how long it would take. I will update to see how long the polish lasts. The only reason I am considering giving this place another chance (especially if the polish last) is i really love the quietness and smallness. The other shops in this area are often large, very noisy and crowded they also run very factory like, in and out hurry up. The crowds kill me and I always feel like i have to hurry up and get out before my polish is really dry. Why cant there be a happy medium *sigh* not fast in and out but not this slow either. The smaller ones in the area, which still arent as small as this one, dont do a great job. I guess my search continues for a nail spot. Other random tidbits You dont pick out your nail polish from the bottle, they hand you two charts with the colors painted on nails and you pick a color from there and then they go find the color. for 2 hours i was there. the tv played solar panel info commercials. I thought it was a video of the promotion it went on so long. It wasnt until the lady half hour when a travel show came on I looked up and saw it was channel 5. you would think with even a few customers they would change the channel but im guessing they just didnt realize but from a customer standpoint it might has eased wait tension had something more entertaining been on read more

Moved on this side of town. And my go to nail shop was closed at the time , so I chose to walk into this one since it was two blocks away. Went here three times, hoping the "third time is the charm :) " but this is why I rate it 3 stars. If you're looking for a pedicure for $45 with a "catch" well this is for you. Expect to wait 45 minutes if you do walk in or even if you book an appointment and they tell you to come in at this time, you're still going to wait 30 to 45 minutes which I feel like it's unprofessional with the customers time. Also, the massage spa chairs are very uncomfortable. It just feels like a ball of metal going behind your back very uncomfortable. There are only about two ladies that do pedicures one takes 2 1/2 hours to do a pedicure. That is very easy to do, and most salons I been to the max is maybe 1 hour- 1hr 15min . It's gel pedicure, file down, and callus remove boom! Let's go! and the other one takes an hour which I was happy that she's quick, but she is so rough on my feet, I was scared for my life bc I been to shops before and gotten cuts when they aren't caring , and I've had her twice and the last time she Scraped the skin off of my bottom of the side of my foot doing a callus remover. I will not come here anymore, because I feel very uncomfortable. And yes, the price was cheap, but don't waste your time here it hurts and it's a long wait I rather pay $40 more somewhere else ! A spa day should be something to relax and feel better after and feel cute! and I do not feel none of these things ever and it sucks I try to be humble about it but the third time I am done! 3 star. I dropped off my boyfriend at LAX and Yelped for a good nail salon nearby. I called and they took me right away. Kevin gave me the best spa manicure ever. I was going to do the regular but I'm so glad I paid more to do the spa. Kevin took his time with every step and did a great massage. I felt so pampered and relaxed when I left. The salon itself is very clean and with cute decor, but was very dissatisfied with my nails. I went in for a fill, and ended up with uneven and bumpy nails. Each nail is a completely different shape. Mimi Took 2 and half hours to get a fill on my nails. NO TIPS OR COLOR. She first put a pink overlay on top of my 3 broken nails when I asked for clear and also asked her during the process if they were clear as I saw that it wasn't, and she said yes they will become clear. Then after filing them down they were not clear and I asked for her to change it. She then soaks my fingers for 20 minutes in something that was not acrylic so it didn't even come off. I then sat for another 30 minutes as I was waiting for the acrylic to come off, after putting the now clear over lay on, none of my fingers match. Minnie did a beautiful job on my nails!!! I came in and didn't really get the normal " hi, how may I help you" greeting as everyone just kind of looked at me. But once I sat down someone came up to me asking what service I wanted which was just a quickie mani/ pedi. It took a while to get to me as there was other customers before I arrived. I did not like how they switched nail techs in the middle of my service and asked me to hold on a few times, which Was really annoying as I had a scheduled lunch date.
