There is nothing I value more than my time. I set an appointment for a reason. Today was my third…read moretime setting an appointment, then being asked to wait. The first time, I had an appointment and had to wait for 45 minutes before the nail tech I booked with can begin working on me. The second time, I was assured I wouldn't have to wait and would be seen right away. I still had to wait 20 minutes. This final time, I called and asked for an appointment time when the nail tech was actually open and available. I stressed the fact that I could not wait. They assured me she would be available. I show up at said time, and was asked to wait next to booth where she was working. I can see she was still working on a full set. The owner then told me she was just polishing, even though I could see she was not ready to polish yet. I was asked to wait. She then tried to get someone else to do my nails. But I am very picky, so I knew this would be a bad idea. I ended up leaving before I wasted another 30 minutes of my life. Overall, they do a decent job. But if you are in a time crunch and make appointments expecting to be seen on time, expect to be disappointed. This is not good place for people who value appointment times and being on time.

She fixed all my little hang nails and cleaned everything up, didn't file my nail bed, and my first manicure stayed on for a month, easy. I removed it because I was getting tired of the color but it didn't peel or lift at all. The appointments are long but it's because Tina takes VERY good care of your nails. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. One lady even told me my set was $50 and feet $46 she then automatically charged $100 not a big deal but it's just the principle because I had already tipped her. They play with your money so make sure to always ask before they start anything. They do not tell you the price before they start and make up there own additional price. Make sure to ask. When I politely asked for my nails to be filed evenly, her response became noticeably aggressive and unprofessional. The manager ultimately had to step in and assist with correcting the service. While I appreciate the manager's effort to resolve the issue, I should not have had to request basic corrections or experience an uncomfortable interaction in the first place. I was corresponding via text and was told that Rachel was my nail tech. I specifically requested her because she did a good job on my friend. My appointment was at 9:30 and when I arrived, I was waiting for 30 mins before I was approached and told my nail tech was on vacation!! I was then told that someone else can do my nails but it would be gel x (which I didn't want). I attempted to leave before they told me they would make arrangements for Tammy to service me but I had to wait an hour. This was so unprofessional and upsetting given the fact I booked a month in advance and nobody checked the appointments to call the clients to inform them their nail tech went on vacation. My service took 2.5 hours plus the hour I was waiting so I had to pay $15 for parking since the validation only covers 2 hours. I was disappointed at the fact they didn't wave my parking for the inconvenience on their behalf. The space is clean and nicely decorated, only negative is there are little to no seats for people waiting, and for them to be backed up because they failed to notify clients certain staff were not available..huge logistical issue Tammy: TAMMY IS THE GOAT. She was nice, precise, professional and on point. She was very detailed and did all my designs free hand. Tammy saved this place of a 2 star rating! He finally got to me around 4:50pm. Billy placed the Gel-X supplies on an empty station, and that's when I suddenly became apprehensive. I've been getting my nails done for YEARS, so that was the first red flag for me. Why doesn't Kevin already have his own supplies at a permanent station? Subsequently, I abruptly changed my service to a gel manicure, because that's a basic level service and I was hopeful that it would work out. I was wrong. The polishing was bad. He was hurting my cuticles by being too aggressive and trying to cut off too much cuticles. A few times I said "ouch" and moved my hand. The shaping was bad, and my nice ssa still tipped him. SMH. Why? Because he still did a service, even if it was below my standards, I am just used to it. AND the three staff were so nice and accommodating. But, nice isn't enough. It hasn't even been 24 hours and the polish has started peeling on two nails. This is my second time at this place. The first visit for a pedicure wasn't the best as far as my experience during the service (the guy was rough and pushy), but ultimately my toes looked good, so I wanted to give them another try. Waiting 10-20 minutes past my appointment time isn't even my biggest issue. What bothers me most is how rushed the appointments feel. My tech was moving so quickly that he nicked my toe pretty badly, and I was actually in pain. My toe kept bleeding throughout the service, and what was really alarming was that he used the polish brush to wipe away my blood multiple times. That's a huge hygiene issue. I was a nail tech for 15 years, and brushes cannot be disinfected once they've been contaminated. That alone is a major red flag. On top of that, the salon is really dirty. There are always toenail clippings and old gel pieces all over the floor, which is unacceptable for any salon. Sweeping should be mandatory and standard. I've given this place plenty of chances because I genuinely loved coming here, but it seems like it just keeps getting worse, and it's not worth the health risk anymore. To make matters worse, my polish doesn't even look good. I chose a solid color, but you can clearly see brush strokes, and it's obvious the top coat was missed in several spots.
