Tom did a fantastic job on my nails! I pick my skin and struggle with good nail health and now I feel like a new woman! Such a cute storefront and very clean! Update ! June 28 ! Just jammed my nail in a drawer and it's STILL ON!
Lisa is my go-to for hard gel manicures with designs. She's super sweet and her work is top notch. She's fast and meticulous, plus she takes the time to snip cuticles for an extra clean manicure (which I so appreciate). She told me she loves doing designs and it shows! I always love love love my nails after our appointment. Book your next appointment with her and tip well - you won't be disappointed!
This is my first time here - I was referred by the Lomita shop "T Nails" where I had a great experience with my pedicure. This place is closer to my home, so I gave it a try. Billy did a great job on my Gel X. It looks really natural and I'm happy with the work overall. My pedicure was...okay. Not too great but just meh. I have thick cuticles so I was expecting to get the same result as I did in Lomita - my toes just felt way relaxed and my big toes didn't hurt at the edge...so like I said..it was meh, my toes look ok but I don't think worth the price. Now LAST & DEFINITELY NOT GETTING EVRR AGAIN - WAX. I prefer if they just say they don't have a room for this. Obviously getting your eyebrows waxed laying down is hella different from getting them done on a chair AND IM NOT HAPPY AT ALL, especially because the wax came at a price of $25 AND WAS 1. Not waxed correctly 2. Messed up my eyebrow (over waxed my arch!) I said I wanted a clean up and she went HAM on my arch...AND at the same time, (as you can see on the photo close up, which I did when I got into my car with my sun-visor mirror, where you can see EVERYThing) THERE ARE STILL HAIRS HERE! FOR $25 dollars!!!! Obviously LESSON LEARNED HERE . Although closer to home, I best stay away. I'm not happy with the wax at all (had to get home and pluck my eyebrows ANWAY!) and I know I should've said something there, but the mirror the lady used to "check" was the size of a compact mirror, so it's not like 1. I was able to see close up front right away 2. Nitpick on it since what else could be done if she took off a whole chunk of my brow!

Took some time to update...but I started going to the other MOI studio when I moved to Sawtelle, and just came back here recently after my favorite nail tech left the Westwood location. I booked an appt with Eric as he's mentioned in other reviews, and he did not disappoint!! I showed him an inspo pic for my birthday set, and he did better than the inspo! Parking is always tough as it's on Washington, they have a super small lot behind the salon with like 3 spots allotted for MOI, so metered parking is your best bet.

I was recommended this salon by a friend who books exclusively with Spring (the owner). While her work is solid, I don't think she upholds that same standard across the salon or with the employees she hires. Before booking, I sent in the design I wanted and was recommended to book Layla. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with both her work and her attitude during the appointment. I left with long-term damage to my nails from over-drilling (the worst part), along with very unclean line work, polish on my cuticles and skin, thick and uneven coats, and splotchy airbrush work (I was charged $100 + tip for this). She spent 30 minutes trying to find the right colors and ultimately could only get "close enough." I ended up having to compromise on every single color, and the set was starting to look very incohesive. They continued trying to force colors on me for the rest of the design that weren't a good match instead of acknowledging they didn't have the proper ones. At that point, it was clear the design I wanted wasn't happening. I asked if we could remove it and pick something simpler. Her attitude noticeably shifted as she aggressively filed off the previous work and caused SO MUCH damage to my nail beds. My nails are now tender to the touch in some spots and it will take many months to grow out the damage. The simpler design (which they also said was "easy" and they could do) required airbrushing. The machine wasn't working properly and kept coming out splotchy. She repeatedly asked if it was "okay" before finally attempting to fix and clean the machine. When it came to line work, it was also messy and not crisp. I had to point out multiple areas that needed fixing, which is concerning since those are things a nail tech should be able to catch on their own. There was also areas that were bulky from uneven application of polish which she didn't fix and said was "ok after top coat" . Overall, it felt like she was trying to get away with the lowest level of work that a customer will accept. After the appointment I reached out 3 times over the course of a week to the business phone number and received no response. I eventually contacted Spring directly and heard back a few days later. I was offered $20 "as a gesture," which honestly felt insulting given the damage and overall low quality experience. It seems like they knew I wasn't coming back anyway so there was no point in doing the right thing. Only after I declined (as I would prefer to warn people with an honest review) did she offer $50 which is still below even half my total bill. It doesn't feel fair to charge customers for services when the mark was not met for ALL of them (gel manicure, airbrush, and design) let alone additional nail damage. This experience made it clear where Layla and MOI Nail's quality bar is and how little care is put into making things right.
Tried this location out after doing some searching for a nail salon in the West LA area with experience doing artsy designs and not just the classics. Nina was a rockstar and, despite some hiccups with the scheduling, managed to give me absolutely beautiful Gel X nails with the design I had in mind that have held up exceptionally well over the past couple weeks. Would definitely recommend, and I'm hoping to snag another appt for a new look soon :)

I got a gel manipedi and eyebrow wax. The waxer burned me, but insisted that she hadn't while I was in the shop. When I got home, I saw that I was burned and requested a refund for the wax. The manager refused. DO NOT GO TO MOI NAILS, THEY WILL NOT REFUND YOU EVEN WHEN THEY BURN YOU. read more

So I'm running another review I was gonna go over there, but what's the reasoning of going back over there when my kids are not gonna come back down to go to this place again so again I'm very disappointed on the way that the technician treated my granddaughter and the way that she did her nails. I would've expected at least a reply back from them of giving me half my money back for at least something I actually spent so much money there and also gave very big tips to six people. It's unfortunate. I thought this place would be great, but after going to Palmdale to look at my granddaughter's nails so I can see them up close and personal, very disappointed. hate to call people out, but I believe it was nancy that did her nails so I wouldn't recommend her. read more

Let me very clear -- I'm big on upfront cost / pricing . I booked online a full set L. Says 75 dollars -- I asked if they had XL he said no . Appointment at 1130 got there around 1120 waited no problem . I booked with ray as a recommendation.. he is really quick .. but once done my total was 85 for nails and 30 for the design . Plus 2 dollars to use my card ? Your price is your price but not when you have one price posted , I booked for and I'm charged a whole other . It's over pudding when people are all about money . The replied still don't makes sense because I booked Large 75dollars he said he did not have xl which says 80 dollars so the extra 5 you added was for what ? Ray was excellent and I will be back I just need to ask questions before hand next time I'll do better read more

This time I told him that I'm getting married this weekend and these are my wedding nails and he was absolutely meticulous. I love how creative the artists are! When I first visited, Ray made beautiful hand-shaped 3D flowers. During this visit, Eric created dainty fruit designs using little stones. I think they might be one of the best nail artists around LA. read more

The worse acrylics I have ever gotten done. They not only changed my time Appointment two times and then I get there they made me wait for 15 more mins then the appt was not booked for acrylics but gel nails the tech didn't do acrylics so had to wait another 15 mins for someone who did acrylics and then this was the result of the crappy job she did. Paid $100 with tip for this crap. Never will be back to the place again. read more

Came here on a Monday around noon and got seen right away. Tom did my gelx nails and Susan did my pedi, highly recommend both! Susan gave a great massage and I really appreciated Tom's attention to detail. This is honestly my go to nail spot. I got the gelx set done recently but the white set you see is also a set they did on me prior. The salon has been recently renovated and i love the ambiance. Breathtaking service. Found this place on Yelp! Mimi is seen doing my pedicure, and Nina did my beautiful cat eye small gel X manicure. I called an hour before and made a same day appointments without an issues. Nina was so wonderful to talk with she has over 25 years of experience and knew exactly what I was hoping to achieve with my shape and size. I always disliked my middle finger (it's so big) but she shaped the Gel-X perfectly to make my giant finger look petite. There was beauty acoustic music playing in the background which was very relaxing. I don't get my nails done frequently but I will be coming back to see Nina and Mimi!! read more

I'm obsessed with this place! I have never been one to get my nails done, but I've come here twice in the past 3 months. My most recent set is the most compliments I have ever received on my nails. I came with a few inspo pics of roses, and she knocked it out of the park. I got Gel X for the first time, and she was very great about making sure the shape and the length were what I wanted. I also got a deluxe pedicure which was awesome. The time before, I got a cat eye gel manicure and Daisy was incredible making sure the shine was exactly what I wanted. They lasted long and were the perfect addition to every outfit. It's extremely easy to book online, and the studio is always full but not to the point where it's overwhelming. You can tell all the artists care about the work they're doing and their clients. Can't wait for my next excuse to get my nails done!! read more

Lisa is AMAZING! Lisa absolutely nailed my Christmas nails and pedicure! Her attention to detail is next-level--the holiday design came out flawless, elegant, and perfectly festive. The colors, the precision, the creativity... everything was on point. The pedicure was so relaxing and thorough--my feet feel brand new. Lisa is professional, gentle, and truly talented. You can tell she loves what she does and takes pride in her work. I've gotten nonstop compliments already! My second time here and just as amazing of an experience!! Eric did my gelx and Holly did my old set removal + prep. Eric was so personable and kind; beyond that he was very thorough with my nails. Do you guys to acrylic on all 10 toes and if so how much is it?
Yes, we can do acrylic on all ten toes! Base rate for acrylic is $70.
How much is a regular gel pedicure ? What about a regular acrylic set?
There are 3 pedicure options, I always do the regular option which is $35 + $17 for gel = $52 total. Not sure about acrylic though.
How much is a mani and pedi no color?
