I'm obsessed with this place! I have never been one to get my nails done, but I've come here twice in the past 3 months. My most recent set is the most compliments I have ever received on my nails. I came with a few inspo pics of roses, and she knocked it out of the park. I got Gel X for the first time, and she was very great about making sure the shape and the length were what I wanted. I also got a deluxe pedicure which was awesome. The time before, I got a cat eye gel manicure and Daisy was incredible making sure the shine was exactly what I wanted. They lasted long and were the perfect addition to every outfit. It's extremely easy to book online, and the studio is always full but not to the point where it's overwhelming. You can tell all the artists care about the work they're doing and their clients. Can't wait for my next excuse to get my nails done!!
This is my first time here - I was referred by the Lomita shop "T Nails" where I had a great experience with my pedicure. This place is closer to my home, so I gave it a try. Billy did a great job on my Gel X. It looks really natural and I'm happy with the work overall. My pedicure was...okay. Not too great but just meh. I have thick cuticles so I was expecting to get the same result as I did in Lomita - my toes just felt way relaxed and my big toes didn't hurt at the edge...so like I said..it was meh, my toes look ok but I don't think worth the price. Now LAST & DEFINITELY NOT GETTING EVRR AGAIN - WAX. I prefer if they just say they don't have a room for this. Obviously getting your eyebrows waxed laying down is hella different from getting them done on a chair AND IM NOT HAPPY AT ALL, especially because the wax came at a price of $25 AND WAS 1. Not waxed correctly 2. Messed up my eyebrow (over waxed my arch!) I said I wanted a clean up and she went HAM on my arch...AND at the same time, (as you can see on the photo close up, which I did when I got into my car with my sun-visor mirror, where you can see EVERYThing) THERE ARE STILL HAIRS HERE! FOR $25 dollars!!!! Obviously LESSON LEARNED HERE . Although closer to home, I best stay away. I'm not happy with the wax at all (had to get home and pluck my eyebrows ANWAY!) and I know I should've said something there, but the mirror the lady used to "check" was the size of a compact mirror, so it's not like 1. I was able to see close up front right away 2. Nitpick on it since what else could be done if she took off a whole chunk of my brow!
I was recommended this salon by a friend who books exclusively with Spring (the owner). While her work is solid, I don't think she upholds that same standard across the salon or with the employees she hires. Before booking, I sent in the design I wanted and was recommended to book Layla. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with both her work and her attitude during the appointment. I left with long-term damage to my nails from over-drilling (the worst part), along with very unclean line work, polish on my cuticles and skin, thick and uneven coats, and splotchy airbrush work (I was charged $100 + tip for this). She spent 30 minutes trying to find the right colors and ultimately could only get "close enough." I ended up having to compromise on every single color, and the set was starting to look very incohesive. They continued trying to force colors on me for the rest of the design that weren't a good match instead of acknowledging they didn't have the proper ones. At that point, it was clear the design I wanted wasn't happening. I asked if we could remove it and pick something simpler. Her attitude noticeably shifted as she aggressively filed off the previous work and caused SO MUCH damage to my nail beds. My nails are now tender to the touch in some spots and it will take many months to grow out the damage. The simpler design (which they also said was "easy" and they could do) required airbrushing. The machine wasn't working properly and kept coming out splotchy. She repeatedly asked if it was "okay" before finally attempting to fix and clean the machine. When it came to line work, it was also messy and not crisp. I had to point out multiple areas that needed fixing, which is concerning since those are things a nail tech should be able to catch on their own. There was also areas that were bulky from uneven application of polish which she didn't fix and said was "ok after top coat" . Overall, it felt like she was trying to get away with the lowest level of work that a customer will accept. After the appointment I reached out 3 times over the course of a week to the business phone number and received no response. I eventually contacted Spring directly and heard back a few days later. I was offered $20 "as a gesture," which honestly felt insulting given the damage and overall low quality experience. It seems like they knew I wasn't coming back anyway so there was no point in doing the right thing. Only after I declined (as I would prefer to warn people with an honest review) did she offer $50 which is still below even half my total bill. It doesn't feel fair to charge customers for services when the mark was not met for ALL of them (gel manicure, airbrush, and design) let alone additional nail damage. This experience made it clear where Layla and MOI Nail's quality bar is and how little care is put into making things right.
So I'm running another review I was gonna go over there, but what's the reasoning of going back over there when my kids are not gonna come back down to go to this place again so again I'm very disappointed on the way that the technician treated my granddaughter and the way that she did her nails. I would've expected at least a reply back from them of giving me half my money back for at least something I actually spent so much money there and also gave very big tips to six people. It's unfortunate. I thought this place would be great, but after going to Palmdale to look at my granddaughter's nails so I can see them up close and personal, very disappointed. hate to call people out, but I believe it was nancy that did her nails so I wouldn't recommend her.
I love this nail salon!! It's always super clean, and everyone who works there is so sweet and caring. Lisa is my nail tech and she is incredibly talented--her designs always come out amazing. She makes the whole process so fun and collaborative, and she's just the sweetest person. I always leave obsessed with my nails. Highly recommend this place!!
Let me very clear -- I'm big on upfront cost / pricing . I booked online a full set L. Says 75 dollars -- I asked if they had XL he said no . Appointment at 1130 got there around 1120 waited no problem . I booked with ray as a recommendation.. he is really quick .. but once done my total was 85 for nails and 30 for the design . Plus 2 dollars to use my card ? Your price is your price but not when you have one price posted , I booked for and I'm charged a whole other . It's over pudding when people are all about money . The replied still don't makes sense because I booked Large 75dollars he said he did not have xl which says 80 dollars so the extra 5 you added was for what ? Ray was excellent and I will be back I just need to ask questions before hand next time I'll do better

absolutely adore my new nails from Quinn! they have so many gems and glitter choices at MOI, i almost didn't know what to pick. Quinn gave me a set that was even better than my inspo (similar vibe, but customized to be more my style) and was so kind. she makes sure your set is perfect and won't let you leave until files or smooths away any imperfections. i've only had my set for few hours and i've gotten so many compliments. also, the salon is so nice post-renovation! definitely my go to studio and nail tech read more

TOM is THE BEST! He gets me together all the time! I throw all kinds of intricate designs at him every single time, and he does not miss! I'm so grateful I found him and I stay loyal. Because I have a tight schedule, it's important for me to find someone who will take me with last minute notice and he accommodates me. I usually text him directly and send the nail inspo I want and the time. Sometimes same day notice or day before even. All the girlies come to this salon and I never see ugly nails leave. It is small and can be tight because it's normally very busy, and not much parking but so worth it. I also love that I can add in a last minute tweak to my nail design and he's so chill about it. Has never complained, and I've had that issue before at other salons. He's a true God sent! read more

if i could give this place negative stars, i would. i had lovely natural long nails (my previous gel lasted without breaking from september to november). i came to this nail studio for the first time and my nails started breaking within a week. i had extremely specific instructions on how to remove my last gel (to not use the drill per my previous nail tech), as i wanted to preserve my natural nails and my previous nail tech said that the drill will create striations. not only did they not listen to my instructions on how i wanted my gel removed to preserve my natural nails (as that was my #1 priority), 1 of my nails have completely broken off and 2 are in the process of breaking. ive had my roommates use me as a test subject for gel manicures during covid and even their manicures lasted longer than this one. the nail on my thumb is broken in a straight line and is literally digging into my skin. this place should be EMBARRASSED to call themselves a nail salon. not only do they not listen to their clients, they also dont care about the quality of the work. if i wanted a five minute manicure, i would have had my fiancee do my nails. at least all my natural nails would still be intact. read more

UPDATE: Thank you for your response. I would like to clarify several inaccuracies and provide context. First, the claim that the manicure was corrected and approved throughout the service is false. At no point did the second technician consistently check in with me to confirm satisfaction. I explicitly stated during the service that there were still bubbles in the polish and that polish was flooding onto my cuticles. These concerns were not addressed. Photos attached clearly show polish on the cuticles and uneven application. My skin did bleed as a result of over-filing. This is not a matter of preference -- it is a safety issue and should never occur during a professional nail service. The statement that I "refused to pay" is inaccurate. I paid in full, which is evidenced by the charge on my card (screenshot attached). A $5 discount was applied after extensive discussion at the front desk, but this did not resolve the quality or safety concerns. After the appointment, I made multiple attempts over several weeks to contact management by phone and text, all of which went unanswered. Screenshots are attached. No effort was made to resolve the situation or acknowledge my concerns. All of this could have been easily resolved if Spring had simply listened to their customer, acknowledged the poor experience, and apologized. That is all someone wants when raising a concern about a service. Instead, you took it here to try and disprove my experience defensively, even though everything I stated was factual. I am sharing all of this so readers can see the full context. This response reflects my experience accurately and highlights the importance of safe, competent, and attentive service. read more

I was super excited to try this place because I see the amazing IG pictures being posted. But I was really disappointed, to say the least. I went on a Thursday (this is a luxury for me because I never go get my nails done). I got my nails done with Liz. Everything started off great, got Gel X. When she finished putting the extensions on, I noticed all the glue in between the extensions and my natural nails (pictures posted) I expressed my concerns, more than once, she said next time just ask for a fill since I like them "thin". I asked if they would pop off because of how much glue there was and she said no. I went home. Tried to shake it off, thinking maybe I was being picky. Well no, I was doing laundry and when I would take clothes out of the washer, I felt the nails being pulled back!! I called (something I NEVER do!) to let them know and ask what can be done. The lady who answered said I should send pictures in. She would speak to the manager and get back to me. It has now been almost two weeks since I got them done and I haven't heard back. And here I am, taking them off myself because they hurt! So now here I am leaving a review in hopes that it doesn't happen to anyone else! read more

MOI came to the rescue! My daughter needed her toes painted for a quinceañera today 8/30/25 at 11am. We went to a nearby nail salon ( King Nails) and the hours on Yelp and the actual hours they open was not accurate. We drove to Gen Nails and they couldn't accommodate us. I called MOI and they quickly said yes, we have availability and we drove over. They took us in quickly, we were greeted warmly and everyone here is just so nice. They've also expanded so the shop is much bigger and can accommodate more customers. I really love and appreciate their accommodation and how they care for their customers. One thing they told me is that if you park at the green 30 minutes spot that they would take care of putting the money for you. OMG, that is top top top notch customer service! I live that and that's only one way to show how they take care and appreciate their customers. They do get really busy so it is recommended to make an appointment. They also have a machine at the front to check you in. They are modern, clean and relaxing shop! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back again and again! MOI Nails is amazing!! I've been searching forever to find a nail place--I have high standards--and decided to try the Westwood location after seeing their amazing nail art designs on IG and reading their great Yelp reviews. They absolutely did not disappoint! (Yeah that sounds like ai, but it's not lol). The space is super cute, very clean, and just has a great overall vibe. I've been here a couple of times and both of my gel manicures by Layla and Kaylee and were impeccably beautiful. I really appreciate that they bring out clean tools each time (they're packaged and sealed so you can tell). I love being creative with my designs and really love that whatever idea I bring in, these ladies can handle it!! Just a great experience every single time. For being on Westwood Blvd, parking is relatively easy. On Sundays metered parking is usually free, and/or you can usually find extra parking on the side streets. You can book online, but I'd recommend calling, especially if you want nail art or something special, so they can reserve the right time block. You can pretty much tell by the photos that they know what they're doing (yes for the white design, I did request alien/mutant butterfly). Thanks for a great experience, MOI!! read more

I was so excited to try this place because of all the awesome reviews it had. But my experience was very short of that, which is extremely disappointing! I came in for a gel manicure and the lady ended up selling me on getting a more expensive type of gel to help make my nails stronger. It was $15 more but I figured that was probably the best decision. She was going and I asked her if she was going to cut my cuticles because we hadn't gotten to that part yet but she was about to paint my nails. She told me that would be an extra $9 to cut my cuticles... Ive literally never been to a nail salon that charges you extra for a service I was already going to pay $65 dollars for... I truly never write reviews unless theyre positive but this was really disappointing. I ended up doing regular gel and the edges are messy, it was rushed and I am definitely not feeling happy with them which is a bummer since I paid $50 for them. read more

Jenny did an amazing job on my Gel-X nails! I just moved to the area and came in on a Tuesday. From the nail prep alone, I was sold. Showed her some inspo on pinterest and gave her free range to make any changes she thought were cuter. She absolutely delivered and my nails ended up even better than I was hoping. She checked in with me for length, design changes, & suggestions along the way to make sure it's what I wanted. This is the first time a nail tech truly delivered on the design I showed. She works meticulously, but quick! It was less than 1.5hrs. Other clients and nail techs were just as obsessed. All the staff is very kind & they had little phone stands on each table for convenience. I've received so many compliments since. Jenny's definitely my new nail tech! read more

My friend and I came here and got a gel mani with french tips. I called to schedule an appointment at 1:30pm but we didn't get seen until 1:45ish. We walked out liking our manis but within a week, both of us had issues with the gel flaking off on the edges of our nails. It's hard to see in the photos but on the sides you can see a lighter section where the gel is starting to peel off. The total cost of our service was $130 with tip, so it is way overpriced for essentially a 1 week long gel mani. read more

Do you guys to acrylic on all 10 toes and if so how much is it?
Yes, we can do acrylic on all ten toes! Base rate for acrylic is $70.
How much is a regular gel pedicure ? What about a regular acrylic set?
There are 3 pedicure options, I always do the regular option which is $35 + $17 for gel = $52 total. Not sure about acrylic though.
How much is a mani and pedi no color?
