    Art Design Nails.

It was my first time here and I wanna thank the front reception Selina, she was so helpful and welcoming. I want to thank Jenny who did an amazing art design on my nails. I am obsessed and I'm so ready for the No Doubt concert in Las Vegas. I will definitely come back to get my nails done again with Jenny. Highly recommend Jenny if you want art design. Thank you everyone at Paint Bar!!

Obsessed with Paint Bar! Best manicure in LA, have not tried the pedicure but want to next. I've been here twice and this is my new and only nail spot. First time having a Russian manicure with hard gel and my nails have never looked this long and healthy. I've always had bad cuticles and this manicure has practically healed them. I was on the fence because it's more expansive than a regular gel manicure but worth it. Gel ruined my nails in the past, made them paper thin. Hard gel has made me nails so strong, healthy and they are so long I am shocked. It's a longer manicure, around 2 1/2 hours but so thorough and no complaints. They have a huge assortment of colors and can do any type of nail art. My only suggestion is to offer coffee or tea, I've had nail salons that charge way less offer that.

The paramedical pedicure should really be advertised as a russian pedicure and I have had better russian pedicures for the same amount of money. It was painful at times and as you can see I got a couple of cuts. Also, was told they didn't have light pink regular polish and was talked into getting this coral color that I don't like, very strange. Told them to keep it straight across and not cut into the corners and they did. I will say that it was clean.

Hard gel manicure that is unfortunately way too "thick" and unnatural looking

The staff was very kind so this review is in no way reflective of their hard work and customer service. I initially booked here under the false understanding that they offered true Russian manicures and pedicures. This was not the case. Though their style of manicures and pedicures are similar to the Russian technique, it was not and lacked various critical steps - specifically with my hard gel manicure. There were limited color options available and I had to direct the nail tech on how to properly shape my french tip which still did not come out how I like. Again, staff was extremely kind and welcoming but it was not the usual Russian manicure experience that I've grown used to.

They recommend regular polish, but have NO drying area! Then they tell you you can leave in these flimsy flip flops.

I am so disappointed. I had been searching for a nail place that would be better than the Russian pedicures I have grown used to. I needed something that focused on my dry cracked heals better than any other pedicure I have had. So when I saw they had a paramedical pedicure I was so excited to finally get my calluses and cracked feet worked on by someone that really focuses on them. I booked with Jenny who was nice enough, but told me during her visit she had no real background in paramedical pedicures, that the owner just wanted someone else to do them in the salon so she started doing them. That seemed off to me, but Lana who seemingly has an extensive background in paramedical pedicures sat right next to her and chimed in when needed my entire appointment. They both said regular polish is healthier than the gel I normally get, which I appreciate the care, but unfortunately nobody states this prior or on the website, and they do not have a dryer for your feet, and when I asked about a fan she handed ME the fan to hold, rather than her just doing it herself. My feet look okay, but honestly I have had much better Russian pedicures at salons closer to my home and for cheaper. The callouses looked much thicker after the service than my other salon leaves them too. When I asked why, I was told they will always be like that as long as I dance. Pretty sure I have been dancing and getting pedicures for YEARS and have had them removed/looking better when I leave the salon than this. When I brought up my concern to the front desk girl ( red hair) that I really don't think Paint Bar should advertise a paramedical pedicure if their only way to address cracked feet/heels is to do a normal Russian (not as well as other places), with inexperienced technicians, and price gauge, instead of being met with customer service and understanding, I was met with hostility and more attitude than my 13yr old God daughter gives me. It made me so uncomfortable I accidentally dropped my smoothie that was in a glass bottle and it smashed all over the floor. The front desk girl ( red hair) didn't even ask if I need a touch up on my nails since I was told to leave before my polish was dry and they didn't even have a drying area. I advocated for myself since I had just paid over $100 for what was basically a normal pedicure, and Jenny touched up the nails that were effected by the smoothie fiasco. I was forced to walk out in the flimsy little flip flops they provide and just as expected, one of the nails is already ruined because they are NOT dry! Seriously disappointed in general, but I think the worst part is the customer service. The front desk girl ( red hair) said she would have a manager contact me, not only do I doubt that, but given the type of customer service representatives they hire, I highly doubt they will compensate or do anything to rectify the situation. The only reason I took the time to write. This review is because I'm currently sitting in the car with the air conditioning on my feet. Waiting for my feet to dry since they did not have a drying area or fan inside the salon. But please BEWARE, if you are even just looking for a high quality pedicure this is NOT the place, let alone a paramedical pedicure to address callouses or cracks on your heels/feet. I was basically told to buy a nail file on Amazon and lotion my feet at home, or stop dancing. So I guess I am wondering why I was charged for a paramedical pedicure when they literally didn't do anything different than a regular pedicure I normally already get?

I love my experience at the paint bar. They have great service and the vibe is amazing. Tiara is the best nail tech I have ever had. She is so talented and her designs are FIRE (amazing). I cannot go anywhere without everyone loving my nails. And she keeps my nails healthy. I highly recommend Tiara.

Amy is a pro and is also so fun to chat with. This is a hard job Manny in the shade latte absolutely obsessed with this color.
    Maria D.

Do yourself a favor and get the hard gel in shade latte. It's absolutely stunning & chic. I have been going to Amy consistently and she's not only a pro but she's so fun to talk with!

4 days after manicure and still healing.

Only reason I came here was because my husband booked the appointment. It was by far the worst mani/pedi I have ever had. They cut my cuticles so badly they bled and by day 4 the gel peeled off two of my toenails. Additionally, my feet were still SO rough that I had to buff them myself when I got home. I'm currently pregnant and on maternity leave - my activity level is minimal - there is NO excuse for the gel to not last. This place is WAY overpriced for the service provided. Do not recommend.

Gel extension + nail art by Tania
    Chanel N.

Tania was amazing! I got Hard gel nail extensions for the first time today. I am by no means a nail regular...I haven't gone in years and only learned about gel extensions through yelp and tiktok lol and thought acrylic tips or dip were the only lengthening options. My experience here was great! Tania took her time to make sure the pattern was what I asked for (have pictures ready imo) and I also had a great pedicure with gel with Sofia. Book ahead online and make sure you book the right option so you have enough time - gel extensions took 2.5 hours. Thank you!! PS yes, parking can be rough in this area, meters might be full. I'd rideshare if you can or get dropped off if possible for peace of mind.

I love coming to Paint Bar! My nails have been able to grow and become strong with routine appointments, I am very impressed with my nail health! In addition, the staff is so friendly, helpful and patient; and the gel colors available are always trend!

This is my 3rd time going to Paint Bar LA and the picture is from today. I just moved here from the east coast and I can tell you I have NEVER had such amazing service! The gel manicure last forever! 3+ weeks depending on hard you are on your hands. Sofia (who I've had for manicures and pedicures) and the owner Kinga (who has also done my manicure before) are pure GEMS! Everyone there is so nice and you feel so welcome from the time you walk in to the time you leave. I am always impressed every time I go. This will be my forever spot for sure!

This was 4 weeks of growth! They look amazing still and didn't break! Loved this design too!
    Erin N.

I have been getting my nails done by the owner of Paint Bar, Kinga for almost a year now. She is the only person that will touch my nails from now on. She specializes in gel nails. I use to get dip and loved it until a different salon gave my finger nails an infection from their dip. Think about... they can't sanitize dip powder. So I told Kinga of my concerns. Once my nails grew out and were healthy again (from the other salon, not hers) she then was able to switch me over to gel. She is very detailed oriented and cares about your nail bed integrity and the final look/design. I am so very happy with them every time I get them done. She also as a person is welcoming, calm, witty, and easy to be around. She also is great with helping you pick out designs before you next appointment as well so she is prepared and knows what you are looking for before you get them done. All in all, she is my only nail boss forever!

During my husband's pedicure, the technician applied an acidic substance to his feet, and then left him attended. Mind you, he and I had the same "deluxe" service but did not have the substance applied. He repeatedly told the technician that his feet were burning when she returned. Instead of addressing the issue, his concerns were dismissed, and the service continued. Over the next several days, his condition worsened--his feet continued to burn, the skin began peeling, and painful sores developed. What should have been a routine, relaxing service turned into a genuinely concerning situation. When I raised the issue with the salon, there was no meaningful follow-up. After multiple messages, I was told the matter was being "looked into" and that a manager would contact me. That never happened. The only response I received came after I indicated I would leave a review. In that response, they suggested this was due to a "pre-existing condition." My husband has never had any prior issues with his feet. This explanation appears to be a convenient attempt to avoid accountability rather than a good-faith effort to understand what happened. My concerns are threefold: * Pressure to upsell services we did not request * A service that appears to have been performed improperly and without appropriate monitoring * A lack of accountability or timely response when the issue was raised. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this salon.

Quality is excellent, no chipping even though I tend to be rough with my nails and wash my hands a lot. Zoe is detailed and really looks at every angle of each nail to review her work. She's also respectful of my requests, listens to and addresses concerns, you just have to communicate it from the beginning so they know. I've also gone to Shak and Sarah before for gel manicures and observed how they check their work of every nail angle too. I am hooked on their biosculpture gel manicure. It was $85 before, but increased to $90. If you pay cash it's $5 less. I often walk here, safe neighborhood, but they have a decent parking lot if you drive. I usually stick to a solid color or French tips (extra $20-$30 depending on length) and have been coming in every 3 weeks or so. The workers usually chitchat with each other in Mongolian. I actually prefer to not have to talk to anyone when getting my nails done since it's my time to decompress, so this works out for my personality lol. I'd be interested in trying their pedicures, dazzle dry, and nail art in the future. Attaching a before and after with very clean regrowth after over 3 weeks. Edit 5/6/26: added a photo of my nail growth journey. I started with regular gel end of February with short nails (left pic), then started Biogel end of March, and here we are beginning of May (right pic). My natural nails have never been this long before. I had Oyu yesterday for the first time, I am highly sensitive to heat spikes (when drilling or the UV lamp) so the first few minutes of drilling were very painful and had to keep telling her, but same situation with Sarah before regarding heat spikes, that I just had to tell them and they later adjust how heavy or light they press. Oyu learned to adjust to go lighter with the drill and felt much better. So tip if you're sensitive like me, it's important to have that conversation with your nail tech.
