It says walk ins welcome, but... Even though we called in ahead we still were not welcome. My Mom lives in the neighborhood, & this is usually her go to when she needs a mani pedi. My Mom is immune compromised due to chemo. If you are immune compromised this is not the place for you! They do not use clean instruments. Or files. Everything is just sitting in the trays in their carts. Never did I see them open a sterile package with tools. At least the women who did my moms Mani pedi were nice. The ones that did mine acted like they were mad. Maybe mad why they had to fit us in? I don't know but it was obvious they were mad. Very unfriendly & kept speaking to one another in their language like they were pissed off. Especially the woman who did my toes. Manhandling & she even cut me, and waited until the very end of the pedicure to say sorry. The cut hurt! And she even needed to get up to get disinfectant & acted even more mad. She also stopped with the nippers after so the pedicure was terrible. One of my Big toes with the gel is all lumpy too. Luckily I have muiprocin at home, it's an anti staph ointment to rub my toes down with, otherwise I'd be really worried about infection. I feel like if she wasn't so mad she probably would not have cut me, & maybe done a better job? I only gave two stars because we were previously happy here in the past. Otherwise would be a one star. Splotchy and uneven, with cotton stuck under the polish under some of the nails. I don't understand how as a manicurist you see these things and just ignore it? It also took a whole hour just for a manicure. Very weird at the end because the lady who did my manicure took my card, swiped it without even showing me the total, then SIGNED THE SIGNATURE FOR ME. First time here and very disappointed, I came in for gel X and the polish of my nail was horrible on top of that the manicurist was named Angie and she kept giving me attitude and aggressive with my hands and when I told her I was not happy with my set she said don't worry about it no one will notice. If I'm paying for the service I want what I want and to say that to someone is like unbelievable I will never spend my money on this place again oh and to "fix" the issue I got a $10 discount I don't want a discount I want nice painted nails not a freaking discount I'll pay whatever you want but I want my nice nails and not be told don't worry no one is going to see it terrible customer service!!!! Probably worst nail experience. My nail tech rushed to take my nails off and was mad I didn't already have a color picked out. She's super impatient. As soon as she wraps my old gel, she removes them and scrapes my nails hard. While painting the nails, her gloves kept touching other fingers and when I would point out she'd have to repaint them, she would huff and roll her eyes. 2 fingers have black faint hair dust because of how uncareful she was. Never-mind the fact that my nails aren't straight w rounded edges and nails have so many air bubbles. Will never be back. read more

I have been coming here for the last four years. When Karen owned it it was run very efficiently and always busy. The new owner renovated and it's really nice but every time I've made an appointment my Manicurist isn't here and no one calls to tell me and I drive a little ways to get here it happened again today and the owner took no responsibility And it's never busy. After going to Karen's Nails for a few years now, I was very hesitant to leave this review as I mostly have had positive experiences. However, I received a pedicure last weekend that led to an infection. The nail tech was so aggressive, especially with my ingrown nails. I was bleeding and it was obvious I was in pain. Two days later I went to the doctor because I was still in pain and could barely walk when wearing shoes. They confirmed it was infected, gave me a tetanus shot and put me on antibiotics. They also said I have to soak my foot in a mixture of iodine and warm water 3-4 times a day. I now have to cancel a ski trip this weekend because it still hurts to walk with shoes on. I'm extremely disappointed since this is a salon I've been to many times and I won't be returning in the future. read more

Stumbled upon this place because I was getting my car fixed at the Pep Boys across the street and needed time to kill. They accept walk ins and I came in close to 6PM. They accept card, however, tips are only accepted in cash. I was greeted very cheerfully and was seated right away to get my nails done by Lin (I apologize in advance if I misspelled the name). This is actually only my second time getting my nails done so I'm not too picky and wanted something simple, plus came on a whim, but I am so happy with how my nails turned out! I asked for coffin style in this length. Lin was thorough and had good attention to detail, made sure it fit right, was the same length, smoothed out, etc. I also had to step out for about a 10 minutes to get my car from Pep Boys, where I felt bad, and on top of finding out they closed at 7PM (I had asked out curiosity), but Lin was understanding and even explained to me best places to park. I was still one of the last ones out of there past 7PM and Lin was still making sure my nails were looking great! So reasonably price too at $35 for acrylics (I think that is what I got). Exceptional customer service and cheerful staff! I will probably be back and request for Lin for simple acrylics! read more

One thing i truly hate is a nail tech being lazy and cutting corners on coffin nails. Also it's off white so one nail looking more transparent than the other doesn't cut it for me. One more thing make sure all nails are straight. OMG and they had me like a pretzel doing my nails and toes on a chair that isn't meant for pedicures. Nails were 70+ If you want quality shaped nails go elsewhere:( i'm so sad guess i gotta go to the girls stationed at home who guarantee quality.
