I have been going to Posh Nails in Manhattan Beach for 15 years. Why do I keep coming back instead of going someplace closer to my home in PV? It's because of the quality of the work done and the quality of the materials. The owner controls the products that are used in salon, and because of this there are no cheap products used by individual manicurists. I go every 4 to 5 weeks forl my fill, French manicure with acrylic and gel topper. My nails never chipped Harley ever. And all those years I've been going, maybe they have chipped five or six times. But I just call in, go in and they fix it quickly and then I'm off and running again. I go to Bonnie for my nails and Katie for my toes. I highly highly recommend them both! And I know that other people who work in the salon are just as good. But ... Bonnie and Katie are my gals! read more

Gel manicures can either go well or completely terrible. This place did a good job. I was in and out within an hour (including the removal of a job gone bad by another nail shop). I called at 9am when they opened, made an appointment for lunch time and popped in right on time. The place was slammmmed so I was expecting a wait...but they were surprisingly ready for me. I originally came in for dip manicure but the technician suggested I try hard gel because it would last longer and protect my nails. I was excited to try hard gel but am very disappointed with how they turned out - my nails were filed in all uneven shapes - the gel itself is bumpy and uneven - the sides of the nails are rippling - the edges are not clean - she put extensions on my pointer fingers because the nails were originally shorter than my other nails and now are much longer than the rest of my nails Overall attention to detail was lacking. This isn't what I would expect for a $75 manicure. I may go back but would not recommend getting hard gel read more

Once they understood and apologized, their solution was to put the correct color on top and do 3 and 4 coats. Then, they charged me full price. No discount. Just awful. The lady who did my nails was just deaf to my directions. She asked me what shape I wanted and we agreed on almond. My nails came out super crooked and horribly shaped , and she was completely deaf to my attempts to point at the issue. In addition, she didn't do almost anything about my cuticles, which made my polish look sloppy. The final result makes me want to go redo my nails.
