Overpriced for the level of service they offer. I just wanted to get my gel paint removed. It was $15 to do so. No water or snacks offered (usually spas that charge this price offer them) but that's okay. I am not happy with the level of service either. They were supposed to do a soak removal to protect my nails, but they kept using the drill to keep removing layers over layers of my nails. Even after I told them I would prefer they manually take off the paint after soaks. They provided me with the smallest of bowls with acetone to squeeze both my hands into. It was so uncomfortable, and the person was rude and telling me not to move my hands.. like bro, you should try fitting your hands in here. I kept trying to tell the person to be careful and not cut my natural nails along with the gel x, but they did. And they just kept drilling at them until I could see red. John is the worst! Please be aware he WILL cut you . Absolutely DISGUSTING service I just received. Not only was my pedicure rushed, it took place in a dirty bowl that looks like it has NEVER been cleaned . He cut my big toe while cutting cuticles and didn't even apologize when he drew blood. I requested a GEL pedicure with black French Tip to which the man absolutely BUTCHERED yet continued to cure them knowing they looked horrible. I could've drawn them on better. After I settle for a basic color because he can't give me what I want, he PILES LAYERS of black paint on my toes curing them for 60 seconds In between which is not enough for 7 layers of paint. At this point I am upset because this is my first pedicure since breaking my foot in November and I have NEVER had such an experience there. When it was time to check out after two hours of being tortured, he proceeds to tell me I will pay FULL price despite him being aware of the absolute chop job he just did. All in all DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE. THESE PEOPLE WILL TREAT YOU HORRIBLY, ARGUE WITH YOU WHEN YOU EXPRESS YOURSELF, AND STILL CHARGE YOU FULL PRICE FOR SHITTY SERVICE, AND ENVIRONMENT. On January 2nd I went to get my acrylic nails removed. I have been going to the owner of the salon, Zoey, for years now but she was not available so she assigned someone else to me. Multiple times I told the worker that him using the drill on my nail burned. I pulled away 3 times and he told me he would "press on them" to stop the pain. He used the drill for too long and my nails are paper thin now. I have never had this happen from a nail removal. Zoey and I have strictly communicated through Instagram for years and she always replies within hours so I was sure she would care about this considering how loyal of a customer I have been. I reached out to Zoey right away to clarify the price as it was more expensive than normal and she broke down the price for me, no problem. The next day I woke up and I had to put bandaids on every single nail because they hurt so bad and were cracking. I reached out to Zoey explaining how much they hurt and sent a picture. No answer but I assumed she was busy. She continued posting on her story several times and it has now been almost 5 days with me reaching out several times with no response. I have treated Zoey with nothing but respect the entire time I have gone to her including tipping every time. Instead of Zoey simply responding to me and acknowledging the mistake that was made, she has completely ignored every message I have sent and continued posting on her story for multiple days now. I have asked her to call me and explained I do not want a free service but an acknowledgment that her worker destroyed my nails. I have brought over five clients who consistently go to her and recommend her to every single person that I have met. The fact that I have been treated this way and ignored is so disheartening. You can be an extremely loyal customer and still get treated with such disrespect. After hopping from salon to salon, I now have been going to David for over a year and he never disappoints!! My nails last me over a month with no chipping or lifting. The rhinestones never fall off. He is constantly coming up with different designs and techniques. I tend to be very indecisive when selecting colors etc. but he always comes to the rescue with new & fresh suggestions. Pricing is very reasonable and never pushy or sneak in extras. Salon is clean and techs wear masks so you don't have to. Maybe there are some good people here but the person that serviced me was rude. An older man did my set, and from the get go when I showed him the reference photo he frustratedly said "Again?" and showed me the reference photo the previous client had showed him (he takes a photo of the reference photo on his phone so he can see and that was the last thing he was looking at). It threw me off guard how blatantly rude and unprofessional that was, I understand it can be "annoying" that people come in with their own ideas for sets but that is literally the business, and if it's annoying that's something that they can say in private not right in front of the customers. As far as the set I got, I got acrylics with gel polish, and to start he did not do anything to my nail to prepare for the acrylic, he did not file my nail or even clip them before attaching the plastic tip so I know they're going to be lifting pretty soon. You can tell they were rushing to service people. The nails are a little thick but the shape is good and they look nice from afar, I've even gotten compliments on them, it's only when you look up close that you can see the imperfections like a lint stuck in the polish or un even lines but eh that is what it is. I'm more upset at the rudeness. I was getting a mani pedi simultaneously and I just have to say it was so uncomfortable and hectic, definitely not the relaxing experience you would expect from a place with spa in the title lol all jokes aside it just was not an enjoyable experience, and it made me think back on the last nail salon I went to (also got mani pedi at the same time) and how comfortable I was there and how kind the techs were. That place is all the way in Orange County so that's why I decided to go somewhere close to home but I will def be going back to that other salon in the future (Retro Nail Bar), it's worth the drive... My aunt also got her nails done here at the same trip and hers came out worse, very chunky and thick, and although she asked for coffin shape they ended up looking more like square. Honestly just read the reviews and decide for yourself, I see some people have had good experiences here but I wouldn't know anything about that. *NEVER COME HERE! UNLESS YOU WANT SLOPPY NAILS PAIRED WITH HORRIBLE SERVICE! I've given this nail salon a shot twice and each time I've received the worse service. The first time I visited, I was told they could do a rose quartz design. Upon being seated and the polish being applied, I was informed MID-WAY through that none of the technicians had the skill to do that type of nail art. It was extremely unprofessional and I was stuck paying for a nail manicure I did not want, without the design I came in for. No one apologized and the technicians were extremely rude about the situation. Don't tell customers you can do a design to get them into the seat if no one can actually do it! It's misleading, wastes everyone's time, and it is very poor service. This time, I came in for a simple, ONE COLOR, nail manicure. How could anyone mess that up? With the staff at this nail salon, anything is possible. Firstly, the male nail technician already had unsanitary habits. His nails were dirty, he didn't wash his hands, he was handling money at the beginning of my manicure, and he coughed into his hand without washing his hands. I was utterly DISGUSTED! Secondly, he applied too many base coats prior to the gel polish being applied, and destroyed my cuticles. Three bass coats to be exact. After applying the nail polish and the top coat, I had a total of 7 layers of polish on my fingers. The job overall looks sloppy, chunky, and amateur. My cuticles were in pain on three of my fingers from over-clipping, and on other fingers he failed to clean up enough. It didn't look professional at all! Thirdly, the overall manicure was very sloppily done and the color was incorrect. I asked for a color darker than what he applied. When I mentioned it was the incorrect color, THREE TIMES HE IGNORED ME and continued painting my nails. I wanted to cry sitting in the chair because I had to repetitively tell the technician when I was in pain, when the color was incorrect, when there was still polish outside of my nail bed... it was a horrible experience and he would just ignore me or roll his eyes. I told him over five times about the polish outside of my nails. He would either say "I'll get to it" or ignore me. He was going to put lotion on my hands and I had to tell him AGAIN there was still polish on my fingers. I don't know how he couldn't see it. He got some of it off, but as you can see from the pictures there is still some polish left outside of the nail bed Not once did he apologize or sincerely try to correct the sloppy job that was being done. That was the worse part: the service. If the color is incorrect, ask the customer what the color should be and try to get it right! Don't continue polishing and being passive. If the customer is in pain, apologize and try to be more gentle. If the customer is telling you some spots are messy, clean up the job until it's polished. NONE OF THIS OCCURRED and I was left with a horrible manicure, wasted money, and less than mediocre service. Save your money and go to any other salon in the area. I'm so unhappy with my full set acrylic nails. I tried to like them, but they were just horribly done. For $35 this work should have been much better. I must admit my nails were not in great shape when I came in, but I've had them done before and still they didn't come out looking this bad. I've been here before and it was just okay, but today I'm really not satisfied with the quality of work done. The man that did them was very patient, but he didn't do a good job in my opinion.
