Dropped by the nail salon last minute to treat myself for some pampering and was pleasantly surprised. The gel nails and regular pedi were both decently priced (55 total and tipped them extra) and the quality of the service (customer service and actual nail designs/polish) were superb. Would definitely come back.

I walked in with a color in mind but it didn't look good. Kathy and I agreed that it didn't suit me but she knew immediately what would work with me. After disappointing experiences with my long-time nail salon, I tried several others with mixed results. I saw favorable feedback on ND so I decided to try Topline as it's close to where I live. I was able to call the night before and get an early appointment the following day--SCORE! My appointment got a late start because the prior appointment showed up for a pedi then decided to get a full set of nails. Which was no problem, I just sat soaking my feet and scrolling through social media. Danny who did my pedicure is a ROCK STAR. Not only had I not gotten a pedi in months, but my big toenails were growing improperly. Danny fixed the problem by using gel tips and you'd never know how bad they looked before; I should have taken a 'before' photo. Beautiful color and a Hawaiian flower on the big toe and I was no longer afraid to wear sandals. And no sitting with your feet under a fan; nails are immediately dry and ready to go. For sure this is my new go-to salon and I might even decide to get gel nails in the future. Danny and Kathy were friendly and polite and, unlike some salons, I never got the impression that customers were being talked about in another language. I'm also thrilled that they are open 7 days a week.

I had no appointment and was allowed to walk in and the salon was not busy. I asked for a gel removal and a pedicure, a total of 40$ (5$ for removal and 35$ for the gel pedicure). Initially, service was okay. The man and the lady were very nice and hospitable and greeted me as soon as I walked in and had my chair and foot bath ready. I did not like how the person doing my pedicure peeled off the gel from my toes, not only is it bad for the health of your nails, the peeling of the gel removed the top chunk of one of my toenails. Luckily, no skin was ripped and it did not bleed but that is not great practice. The tech did give a thorough massage with the pedicure which was surprising and nice as most pedicures don't have much of a massage anymore. The gel polish is patchy and not sure if that's cured/uncured/uneven application. I can see some of the gel polish was/touching my skin before curing a, which is also not best practice as contact to uncured gel polish develops into gel polish allergies. My toes look nice but I prefer to have it done correctly.

I was very satisfied with Kathy's customer service and her attentiveness towards my nails. First off, Kathy was so kind so take me in really late at 7:30 pm. I am off of work at 6pm so it's really hard to find nail salons open so late. My previous nail had broken so I needed to go to the nail salon asap. Kathy advised me about Gel X and she shared her knowledge and experience using gel x nails. I was so convinced that I decided to do it and I do not regret it at all. 10/10 recommend. Kathy was very kind and welcoming and has years of experience, I can tell she doesn't care about the money more so she does about her clients being happy and most of all she cares for the clients nails making sure they grow healthy and remain healthy. I will most definitely be back.

An absolute gem! A welcoming husband and wife team have created a warm & beautiful nail shop. Their attention to detail is appreciated. The shop is relaxing and well taken care of, which made for a great pedicure experience. They have every color polish & everything is in good shape too. Wish I lived closer to this place! I've been going for over 20 years for my mani-pedis. Kathy and Danny are an absolutely lovely couple who take great pride in their work ethic; reflected in the great work they do. They're one of the few places that are willing and able to handle ingrown toenails better than some medical professionals (in my humble opinion). While they do take walk-ins, appointments are preferred because they're always busy. Cost-wise they're pretty competitive, but seem slightly more on the affordable side and prefer CASH payment. Parking can be tough during peak traffic times. read more

I would give this place 3.5 stars. The couple who run this place are very nice and friendly. However, the service was rushed and the application of the polish was a little sloppy for both my gel mani and regular pedi. Also one of my cuticles got cut during the manicure and started bleeding. I was lucky to get a walk in service right away but they had 3 people who had a booked an appt and came in about 10 min after I arrived. They had to wait a long time to be seen because it was only the couple who were working. I'm not sure if there are other people on staff. Additionally, they didn't show me the list of their services that was on a flyer, but all 3 ladies who made the appt got to see it. I didn't think that was fair. read more

I told Kathy l was worried bc the last girl took too much from my eyebrows. I grew them out for two months. When she looked at them she agreed and did a fantastic job. If you ever have to wait for her- just sit and wait honestly bc I won't let anyone else near my eyebrows again. She the best. read more

Although Nancy and Danny are very nice the service was subpar. My polish started peeling off the next day and two of my daughter's nails completely came off. Polish is old.. Went back for repairs and they did it at Jo charge but couldn't match up the polish they did so my thumb is a different color. read more

Kathy and Danny make a great team! You can tell that they take pride in their work. They love their job and put customer satisfaction as their top priority. I'm in town visiting my family and needed to get a pedicure. My mom was easily able to make an appointment for the two of us. The staff was super nice and very accommodating of my left toe that I had stubbed two days prior. Kathy was especially nice and offered me a lot of great advice on taking care of my feet. Danny is the best! He gave me French tips that actually lasted for more than 2 weeks! Their pricing is also fair. Usually I don't get my nails done because it gets a bit too expensive for me but this place had fair pricing. I paid $65 for manicure and pedicure and this includes the gel polish, foot scrub and callous removal. I was very happy with the results I got and will definitely come back again! read more

READ.DON'T GEL X HERE. They seem to delete 3 star ratings because that's what I gave them. So posting this as a 4 Star I don't want to give this less than 3 stars because I've been here before and they do good work. However, I tried gel x for the first time and it has been the worse email experience every. I've only had my nails done for a week and on day 3, one broke and I went back to get them shorter thinking that'd help but it didn't. Now Im here with multiple chips and cracks and it's just not worth it to keep going to bother Kathy, even though I know she would fix it because I've already gone twice! Maybe I got a bad set of gel x tips but I won't' the getting this ever again and will stick to my tips and dip powder. UPDATE: a week and half later I noticed that it seems like the gel didn't even properly curate to the nail at all? the gel x tips are still on my nails where all the gel is now cracking off smh. read more

It was my first time ever getting a manicure/pedicure. I came here with a good friend of mine and I was very excited about getting my nails done. Kathy did a very lovely job on both my toe and finger nails. My hands and feet feel the cleanest they've ever been at all in a very long time. A lot of dead skin and calluses were removed from both my fingers and toes/feet. I was surprised from the results after they were cleaned up. I love the small businesses that care about the people first, I will definitely come back here again next time I go on vacation back home. Super friendly! Husband and wife duo that are so cute and sweet. Recommended gel x and feels so light and strong at the same time. Walked right in after calling 30 min ahead. Took less than an hour for my friend and I both. Had acrylics removed and gel x put on. Excited for another visit in a few weeks :) read more

She was so amazing, i chose this spot super last minute and i couldn't be more glad i did, she designed my nails exactly how i wanted them and was so so sweet the whole time , definitely will be coming back ! I could really tell that she loved her job and wanted to help me. She shaved under my nails so the acrylic wasn't chunky if ya know what i mean. Hands and feet down a winner! I went in for a pedicure and was a little nervous. My nerves come from having very sensitive feet issues and trying someone new! They welcomed me and my feet and my nerves and I left there super happy. Their gentleness and attention to detail was hands down a winner to me. Oh, the wall of nail polish is absolutely outstanding! I've never seen a wall of nail polish like that and the bottles are clean to boot! Prices are fabulous they are well worth it and I like to refer to them as the fixers as my feet needed fixing and that's just what they did. I will be back you have a fan for life. Kathy and Danny are incredible! I got replacement acrylics and a pedicure for a wedding and I was so happy with their work. Kathy removes the excess glue underneath your nails, which I've never seen a nail tech do before! Both are so sweet and talented at what they do. Loved the experience here! read more

Okay, this place is underrated based on its location. Called on a Sunday afternoon hoping to walk in and Kathy got us in almost immediately! Kathy and her husband were so kind and personable. Topline Nails has been around for quite some time now, however Kathy and Danny have been here since 2002. When we first opened, this business was just your standard nail salon. Since then, we have added 5 Spa chairs, a private facial/waxing room, 2 therapy massage chairs, and a music system complete with relaxing classical music for your for your maximal enjoyment here at Topline Nails. Our motto is to provide you with "quality nails".

I admitted I'm ridiculously picky about my nails and usually don't let just anyone touch them. Without missing a beat, she smiled and said, "Don't worry, I have the perfect person for you." Enters Ivy. They covered my lap, Ivy started my Gel-X fill while Theary continued my pedicure, and I couldn't believe what was happening. Two services at the same time, zero rushing, and incredible attention to detail. I was in and out in about an hour, which honestly felt like magic. Not only did they both do an amazing job, but they had me laughing the entire time. It felt less like a nail appointment and more like hanging out with friends who also happen to be incredibly talented. I've been getting my nails done for years, and this level of efficiency and customer service is rare. Let's just say my nail salon back home might be getting a few pointers after this experience. Liz shares space with a cute kid's hair salon in a residential area of Redondo Beach. I've lived here for years and never passed by, even though it's so close I could walk over. I decided to have Liz clean up my brows, and she did a great job. I also had a spa pedicure and am pleased with her work. I came on a Saturday afternoon and it was busy with kids getting haircuts, but I was still able to chill out in the awesome spa chair. Liz did an amazing job as always--she is very focused on quality and it really shows. Keep in mind I live in Playa, so there are plenty of places closer that I could go. But Liz does a great job, genuinely cares for her customers and knows how to run a business. I am so happy I was able to go back to a familiar face and get an awesome mani/pedi. Liz is the best... go see her, you won't be disappointed!

Never going back. EDIT based on response: It is not the customer's responsibility to notify the salon of hard gel removal because I assumed everyone at the salon is capable of doing so. If only certain techs are able to do it, then it should be the salon's responsibility to ask the customer when booking the appointment - since it's such a big issue. Been about 1 week and nails are peeling and not healing. Great.

I asked for a specific nail design for the World Cup, and Tullia totally delivered. She is so sweet and detail oriented. I showed her a photo of what I wanted and told her it didn't have to be exact, but she made sure it came out just like the photo and checked with me every step of the way to make sure I was happy with the progress. I don't do nails too often, usually because the choices are overwhelming sometimes, but she made the process so easy and comfortable. Salon is clean, comfortable, with free parking. Other ladies are super nice too, Jenny helped me with my pedicure. Price seemed really fair, she spent close to 2 hours on my nails, and for that much time and effort, I think it was very affordable. I have been hankering for a pedicure for a while, and not just any pedicure. I wanted something…read moremore therapeutic. My feet have been through it the last couple of years (sports) and I wanted to get serious about caring for them properly, not just getting them painted. Of course, I turned to Yelp for the scoop and zeroed in on Ms. Glen's Therapeutic Manicures & Pedicures. I finally got a chance to go see Ms. Glen and it was everything I wanted and more. It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

After trying a few other places in the Lawndale area, and not being satisfied with any of them, I tried Topline. I now have a favorite place for nails! I went in on a Thursday morning and was greeted immediately...and with a smile. Danny went to work on my pedicure - what a relaxing experience. Too many times, it seems, the technician rushes through - not the case with Danny. He took the time and made sure the polish was perfect. I opted for the gel polish for my manicure and am very glad I did. He, again, took the time to make sure each nail was perfect. The prices are very reasonable, too. I have paid much more for less quality at other places. I will definitely be going back to see Danny for my next mani/pedi! read more

I HATE getting fake nails but when I went to Topline nails and got Gel X, for the first time in my life I LOVED my nails and wasn't tempted to rip them off the next day like I am with Acrylic. I've taken my 8 year old daughter to get Manicures and pedicures and she's always treated so sweetly. Great family owned business. Customer service is always top notch. Kathy and Danny show their care for every person who walks in the store. A helpful tip, they are usually really busy. Therefore, it's always best to call ahead and schedule an appointment. If you like to try your luck, the wait times are usually about half an hour. Try them, you won't regret it! read more
