I recently visited Luxury Nailspa in Torrance for the first time for lash extensions. I was told the salon was recently renovated. It looks clean, modern, and super inviting! You can really tell they put a lot of thought into creating a relaxing atmosphere. I actually came here on the recommendation of my boyfriend's sister, and I'm so glad I did! My lash technician was Van, who is one of the owners, and she was amazing -- so detailed, gentle, and really made sure I was happy with the results. My lashes turned out even better than I hoped -- super natural but full and flattering. Looking this good should be illegal -- thanks, Luxury Nailspa! I found out Luxury Nailspa is woman-owned by two sisters and a family-run business, which makes me love supporting them even more. Looking at their menu, I didn't realize that they offer so many different types or services from permanent make up to nails and facials. I'm already planning to come back soon to try more services! Appointments are definitely recommended -- they stay pretty busy, which says a lot about how good they are! To owners of the salon. I came to do gel x and I am disappointed you placed a lady with no skill to do my nails. It Is not cheap to pay for the service. I had at one point 3 people and one lady fixing her work. I asked to just remove the 3 nails I had on as the lady was placing the wrong size and some placed totally wrong. She excused the had work due to a light. Please don't place novice people to do anyone's hands. Not while we pay premium price. Would not recommend this place to anybody. They rush your nails even if you are paying over $100 for both pedicure and manicure. The atmosphere is extremely overstimulating and not friendly. Eyelash extensions gone horribly wrong. I won't be coming back here, I gave Lily a chance to make up for butchering my eyeslashes and burning them by gluing the 3 clump set of lashes to my eye skin... by going back the next day to try and get them fixed. On day 3 they were falling out!! What a waste of money, it's $120 for a full set of eyelashes. The lashes themselves are cheap too they aren't mink or anything nice... She just doesn't know what she's doing. I've gotten lashes down elsewhere prior that lasted for months. Don't waste your money!!!! This salon is not very clean or sanitary either. My pedicure experience - first they don't use the plastics and allow for you to soak your feet in the tub directly and they don't wash the tub before or after my service from what I observed. The worst part about it is the nail clippers and nail tools she used on my feet she just rinsed with hot water and then prepped to use them again on another client. Gross. read more

All tools and the environment are very clean, they have a great selection of colors, and the nail stylists are very friendly and very patient! Tina did an absolutely fabulous job on my gel mani, and her prep work is very thorough and detailed, yet gentle! I work with dogs and had some fun nail stickers I wanted to try out. I had not been to Luxury Nail Spa in about 2 years but coming into made me realize how much I miss coming here. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Lynn, I told her I wanted a gel manicure and pedicure and I wanted the colors to match. She told me "we can not promise perfection BUT we will do the best we can so don't worry my dear"... and unbeknownst to me both Lynn and Kim did a excellent job on my gel manicure and pedicure. Lynn is crazy as heck, funny and extremely good at doing gel manicures. Lynn talked to me the entire manicure about the health of my nails and making sure that I was pleased with the shape and length. Kim was a bit more quite HOWEVER she too also did a wonderful job on my pedicure especially with getting out my ingrown. I am DISGUSTED! I have been here many times. This was a first and it just got worse and worse.... 1st red flag, There were roaches crawling on their supply bins. 2nd they reuse ALL tools. Nail file was covered in others toe dust, same with the buffer.... I thought for sure there was no way they reuse the pumice stone for scrubbing feet... I was WRONG! She rinsed it with water and put it back for the next person. I had to leave at this point. I told the lady sorry but i have to go. Load her for a full pedicure $26 and gave her a $2 tip, but I left after she scrubbed the bottoms of my feet. I will never return! This was an impulsive choice of salon since my go-to place was busy and I was in dire need of a manicure. First, I told the lady that I wanted a gel manicure, but would first need my dipped powder polish removed. She said okay. Next, she managed to wedge a cuticle clipper between my nails and the dipping polish and began to cut off the dip. *(for those who don't know, dipping powder is like gel in the sense that it is removed the same way by filing off the top seal and then wrapping the nails in acetone cotton/foil) I told the lady, "you are hurting me, usually they soak off dipping powder". Her response..."oh yeah next time honey, we busy" It's one thing to not know how to do something correctly, but to admit that you know how and CHOOSE not to do it, is another. This wasn't all. She spent a total of 20 minutes on my nails and managed to cut me. This is the last time I come here. Rushed job and an unsatisfied customer. read more

I'm reviewing my experience with Lilly for eyelash extensions, December 22, 2018. So due to horrible circumstances (definitely not mad about it at all, I would have done the same if I was in her position) I had my normal lash lady have to cancel the morning of my appointment. In a last stitch effort, I defy to call the nail shop I used to go to when living in the area, and see is they possibly had any last minute appointments...AND to my surprise, they were able to get my in at 5:30! She was so amazing and definitely listens to what you want and works her hardest to achieve perfection! ALL IN ALL l keep going to her till my regular lady comes back!! Or who knows maybe forever! This is a great place for affordable, perfect nails. I've been to many other salons who do a very poor job, so I love coming here knowing I will always leave happy! I've been coming here for 2 years, every 3 weeks, and Van does my nails and waxing, and Mary does my pedicures. I usually do acrylics with sparkle tips, but have also done silk wraps over my own nails. Van is the ultimate perfectionist and I schedule my appointments a few days in advance to make sure I get her! If she's on vacation, Lily is also very good. Mary does a spectacular job on toes and takes her time scrubbing, massaging, and giving you lots of attention. This isn't a high end salon, so you won't be sipping tea while in the massage chair (unless you BYOB!), but you get excellent quality work and it's affordable and unpretentious. They have edgy colors (most O.P.I.), seashell, sparkle acrylics/tips, and almost 100 shades of gel colors. I've referred many friends and coworkers who can't find the variety in their (now former) salons! I recommend asking for Van if you like perfect nails every single time - she also does eyelash extensions and is a makeup artist for special occasions - she is super talented! read more

It was an ok experience. I would not recommend going there. Their customer service was good but my acrylics were uneven on the nail bed and they were not as thick as i would want. My mother went with me as well and the lady that did her nails was a little pushy like she knew what my mother wanted. And when she was doing my nails she didnt even ask if i wanted a design and when i showed her the picture (it was a black nail with three flowers in a french tip style on the tip of the nail) she was like we cant do that because your nails are too small but she could have done small flowers. I've been here 3 times, and while it's not the best I've ever had EVER, it's still a good job. They do designs very well and actually listen to what you want. Terry (Terri?) did my nails this time and she was great! Even had suggestions on color, since what I picked was too light. She found a way to accommodate me. I will say it's kinda pricey. Prices all just went up $5 (seems like for all services). The second time I went, I got a full set of pink and white, and that was $45. This time, just a regular fill with gel and a design on 2 nails was $40. Neither of those includes the tip. All in all, it's a good place to go, but be prepared for it to cost a pretty penny. read more

I recently decided to try it out again since one of the few open on Sundays and I must say they have improved and I have been very satisfied.
