Tran did my nails and Natalie did my pedicure. Both were amazing! Tran fixed my broken nail on my thumb and did an amazing job with the design for my nails (way better than the picture reference I showed her too). They both made me feel comfortable and service was done in 2 hours. read more

After searching through all the nail shops in the SouthBay, I love this local nail shop that just gets the job done! I have been coming to Charmin for a few years, and they have so many nail technicians that I can walk in any time, weekday or weekends and can get my nails done. Whether it's regular, gel nails, or French manicure, they have done a fantastic job and it's quickly. Other services I have tried Upper lip waxing- excellent Eye lash extension- the lashes I chose were coarse, I didn't go back because it irritated my eye. read more

My experience today was uncomfortable. I repeatedly explained (more than 10 times) that I only wanted a small design on my ring fingers, yet the technician kept insisting on having a design on all of my nails. I told her for work my nails required to be simple and professional. It felt like she was more focused on upselling than listening to what I actually wanted. When I stood firm, she became visibly upset. The pushiness made me very uncomfortable, and because of this experience, I won't be returning. read more

The receptionist was very kind and welcoming, which I appreciated. However, my experience with the nail technician was disappointing. I came in requesting a powder dip manicure, but the technician was extremely aggressive with the electric file. She filed my healthy, thick nails down so much that they're now very thin and sensitive. I asked her multiple times to ease up on the pressure, but she continued until I had to firmly ask her to stop using the device altogether. I'm really upset about the damage to my nails. I hope the salon will take more care in listening to clients' concerns and using gentler techniques, especially during a service like powder dip where the health of the natural nail is important. read more

Just left! And I can confirm the lady in the front "the receptionist" is terrible. Horrible communication skills. A bad vibe from the rest of the employees. With so many nail shops around, they should take care of their customers! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, and AVOID THIS PLACE read more

Leyna is great for manicure with dip or gel. Natalie does a great job with pedicures.

Be the judge!! extremely rude receptionist. I have known the owner Amy since the 1990's. Now her brother and sister in law come on weekends. The receptionist is extremely rude to people in person or on the phon. She overbooks appointments and make the manicurists feel bad and rushes them. She does NOT belong in customer service. Some of the women have been there too long and are getting lazy and don't care about their long time customers. I have decided it's time to move on from Charmin nails. read more

They are super nice and they always take me when I walk in. Clean friendly professional, Very nice people to talk to around getting their nails done too. Some people don't want to talk. They do a really good job at with my natural nails putting a gel coat on them. Not lumpy not thick really nice and sleek - natural looking. When they take off the gel my nails are healthy and strong underneath and I appreciate that they use quality products and take care of my natural nails. Which is the way I like them done. I also get my eyebrows done there too - very nicely done. AND they do eyelash extension too, I am okay with them and they are less expensive there for the extensions than other places but I found another place for those in particularly... no offense I really like how this place is a one stop shop for everything, This is a great place to go! read more

Was passing by and decided to get a full set. I got Leina and she was great! Faster than expected and made them super even. It was a bit on the higher priced side for some reason though. She said because of the length, but $70 for the set and $8 for 4 stickers seemed a little pricey. Enjoyed it and love them regardless though! :) read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I wanted to do a new set and gel pedi. Asked could I used the WiFi because I work from home. The lady kept looking around and frowned her face and said no. I see why the reviews are so low now. read more

Easy to walk in and quick nail technicians. Owner and receptionists are courteous. . Competitive pricing for nail services.

I've been coming here for 20 years and the service is great, the ladies are all wonderful.

I got a gel mani on my nails and normal pedi. My nails look great and natural ; there's no bubbles or weird streak marks. The staff is very friendly. With Covid, they've also been handling customers very well. Everything is sanitized and you either get to be indoors or outdoors depending on the inside capacity at the moment. Would definitely recommend. read more

Never coming back here only because of front desk woman. Very rude. No manners. They should really have a meeting about her manners as she is the person greeting clients. To Charmin Nails: you lost a very good client with me as I am a generous tipper and would have been a two to three week regular. Your technicians are great. I worked as a salon owner and receptionist for years so maybe my standards are too high. But this is not it for me. read more

Been coming here for years. They do a good job with my pedis...everyone is nice and they always fit me in.

This was my first time coming in for a full set of acrylic nails. I specifically asked for no gel or UV light. I just wanted short round nails with old school tips glued on with acrylic and regular nail polish. This is exactly what I got and I was extremely pleased. My nail technician listened and did a beautiful job on my nails and I love them! She was also a very sweet lady and very gentle during the whole process. Thank you so much Angie! Very disappointing experience and was over charged. I showed up as a walk in for a dip powder manicure. When I sat down to get my manicure, the woman insisted that I do a clear dip powder with gel color on top. I've never done that before, I always just get dip powder. She said it would be easier to do my next manicure this way because I could just file off the gel color, fill in the dip, and repaint another color. I figured I'd give it a shot. She started by soaking my previous dip manicure in a bowl full of cold nail polish remover - super uncomfortable - and left me at the table for 10 minutes so that she could eat lunch. Turns out, when they do dip powder they do not do a manicure. The woman who did my nails charged me for removing my previous nail polish and did not trim my cuticles or provide the other normal services that come with a standard manicure. The gel that was painted on was really poorly done, the color is uneven and the edges are not smooth. For a $40 manicure, I expect slightly better quality. Definitely won't be coming back here. read more

I normally do not write negative reviews, but felt compelled to do so after my experience yesterday. I brought my cousin to get her nails done for a wedding. She picked a white gel nail polish and the matching regular nail polish for her pedicure. The color turned out to be more pink and didn't match the sample. When we asked if it could be changed the nail technicians argued with us and ended up charging us for the change despite acknowledging the difference. They were also making comments and speaking in Vietnamese throughout our time in the shop. It ruined what was supposed to be a special day and I cannot recall receiving such poor Customer Service. Finally, my nail technician did not do a thorough job on my manicure leaving lots of hangnails. Needless to say, I will not be returning and do not want anyone to go what we went through. read more

Lily does an amazing French gel manicure- polish lasts almost a month. I highly recommend her.

I have been coming here for a couple months because of the cheap price. I came in two days and I had an appointment where I had to wait an extra 30 mins for my person. I said okay no big deal, I show an image to Christine asking if she can do it and she said yes. She does my nails and she couldn't do the design. Everyone had already left and the owners were waiting around for her to finish. I asked her to do chrome on my tips and she offered another design I said no, do chrome and she just drops silver metallic on my nails. Worst nails I have ever gotten- I was so upset I wanted someone else to fix them so I came in the next day and the would only give me 50% of a refund. Worst nails I've seen- would not recommend! Went to another salon to get my nails fixed and the owner was astonished with my nails and said the nail polish is super cheap read more

In a pinch and need a quick pedicure? Charmin nails is definitely the spot! I used to get my pedicures here when I lived in Torrance over 12 years ago and I was always happy with the results. I was in town visiting family and needed a pedicure for an event the following day. My cousin and I walked in with no appointment on a Friday evening and waited about 20 mins for our turn. You can opt for a spa pedicure which has the massage chairs. Or you can opt for just a regular pedicure, which we chose. No frills, you sit in a regular chair and they just put your feet in a foot bath and start the pedicure. Nothing fancy, which I didn't mind because the pedicure was only $12!!! Yes, $12!!!!!!!!!! I'm used to shelling out over $30 for a pedicure in Vegas. The lady who worked on my feet, Julie, was very nice. We chatted a bit and my toes looked awesome afterwards. I just wish she went a little harder on the massage. My fault though for not saying anything. It's been a week since my pedicure and my feet are still soft and the nail polish hasn't chipped. Yes it's busy, yes space is limited, but for $12 who cares? I'm one happy customer!! read more

Crazy expensive for poor quality! The technicians seem to have little experience and don't listen to the customer!! My nails are below average and are not even smooth. Restroom was out of service this day and they told me to walk to In-N-Out. Great start.... I had Christine. She sits at table 2 and she did my nails. I wanted gel nails ($23) and regular pedi ($12). I thought she did quality work - she talked me out of my coral color nail polish but really it was because she didn't know how to paint it. She got frustrated with the streaks so told me a different peachy orange would be better. Sure whatevver. I went with it. Then as she cuts my cuticles she tells me they are super dry and I should do a hand wax so it will add more moisture (additional $7). Um... Ok. I believed her and did that too. She cut a lot of skin off and I was getting worried that it would bleed - but she insisted that she's cutting it the best way and less skin will grow back. I'm such a sucka. She was really nice and funny - I was really giving her the benefit of the doubt to not be the typical shady viet nail salon.... Now I'm really doubting her. The lady who did my toes was not nice at all. No emotions and would tell me rudely when to move my legs. She too cut my cuticles too deep on my right toe so it bled a little. Well it's been 4 days and my hands are still dry even though I carry a bottle of lotion with me everywhere and I'm getting hangnail around my cuticles. That wax crap didn't work. My skin is super sensitive and feels like it's going to bleed if it's not moisturized. Christine lied and I feel like a fool! Toes are ok. Typical Vietnamese nail salon. The workers talk about you (in Vietnamese) and the people around you. I thought they weren't supposed to do this?! When the ladies found out I was also Vietnamese they joked and said "oh - you know we dont mean the things we say, it's just to joke around, kill time and poke fun." I come pretty often and have Tiffany but she was busy. I Wouldn't try another person again. This place is cheap so therefore quality isn't great. read more

So disappointed. I went there for a gel mani and the manicurist put the dip on first, then gel making it way more expensive. On top of that the looked absolutely horrible I had her redo 6 nails! Today is now Monday only two days after I got them done and they are CHIPPING! On top of that they charged me $5 for clipping my cuticles.... last time I checked that was included in a manicure. Do not waste your money going here. This is no wear near the $45 they charged me. NEVER going back. Also, the pic below is one of the hands she had to completely redo and you can see bubbling on the one finger and chipping on my thumb. read more

These came out beautiful and were super durable! I tend to be rough on acrylics, but these didn't even chip. I had the nicest women for both my hands and toes. Went in as a walk in and regret is very much. The lady by the entrance had good English skills so I thought I would be able to get what I want. My technicians had some language issues and I didn't get what I asked for, I got a cut, and the nails started breaking off in four days. Bad experience overall. It's a large salon so I'm sure your experience will depend on the person working on your nails but I'm never going back. read more

Wanted to give this place a try again as I went here YEARS AGO, but I will never be back! Asked for a stiletto, which is what I had and they insisted I needed a new full set, so she popped off the 8 I had which is not a fun event, only to put new tips on completely crooked. She wouldn't give me the shape I wanted so I finally gave up and stopped asking for it to be different. I just got black gel which was done so horribly parts of my nail were still showing and you could see the different layers of gel. I left very frustrated only to come back and ask for them to fix them because they were SO horrible! She tried to reshape them but there was no saving them and she insisted if it was the way I wanted it (and have gotten them for 3 years other places) they would break off. One week later and I have lost 4 nails. All of which have snapped in half Don't waste your time or your money here! Two stars only for the front desk lady trying to be accommodating read more

I was absolutely wanting to make this place my new regular place. The first time the lady was a bit aggressive with me and kept pulling my arms super tight instead of just asking me to move. The entire experience was a bit physically aggressive but she did a good job. I came back and this time the lady was great but literally within 12 hours one of my nails began to chip. I returned the next day on my way home and unfortunately I had the wrong time and they were closing and within three days another nail had also full chipped and I just had the busiest week and the only time I could come in was the following weekend. This place is not on my normal flight patterns and when I tried to explain this they asked to charge me. And I just didn't understand the customer service. This would have become my regular spot and instead I'm going elsewhere. This is literally the photo of what my nail looked like the morning after getting them done. read more
