Terrible experience here. I came in to get a pedicure because I am pregnant and can't reach my feet anymore. While my left foot soaked she trimmed and filed the nails on my right foot. When it came time to switch she skipped trimming the nails on the left foot and went straight to working on cuticles. Which during that process she ripped skin off of my big toe and made me bleed. I waited to see if she would trim the nails on that side but she switched feet again and started doing cuticles on the right foot. When she was done I asked if she could trim the nails on the left foot. She turned to talk to the manager because she didn't understand what I was requesting. After some back and forth with the manager she laughed and said she already did it. She pointed to my big toe that she made bleed and said "remember?!" I let her know that she only did my cuticles but she didn't trim the nails and I would like her to do that. She again turned to the manager and had a back and forth exchange with her and then the manager told me she already did it. At this point I was feeling gaslit and upset so I just told them it's fine. They talked to eachother for a few more exchanges and then the technician laughed, and started filling the nails on my left foot and trimming more of my cuticles. This was my fourth visit over two years and every time I have had a negative experience. This was by far the worst and I will never return here again. read more

Oh crap i thought i already did a review for this salon. This salon is okay. They have a hair salon, although I've never got my hair done at this salon. I've gotten my nails done, just a regular manicure and pedicure, a few times. Their specialty isn't acrylic nails, so i definitely reccomend regular nails. Last time i went, i got regular polish. I got a regular french set of nails. I asked if they could possibly do a cherry design on my nails. I never heard back from them. I guess I would have to notify them ahead of time that i want an extra design. Overall, it was an okay experience. They tend to be on the affordable side which is very convenient. read more

Very friendly service, great price, and good results. I got a gel manicure and had a broken nail. While other shops have charged me $5 per broken nail they fix with hard gel, there was no extra charge here. The only thing I didn't love was that they remove old gel by scrapping it off with a nail file and metal tool. Definitely a bit torturous but survivable. Would recommend to others. read more

I decided to make an appt at this place yesterday for a regular mani/pedi in hopes to find a regular nail salon since I moved. I left here with three of my cuticles bleeding and exposed. Now it hurts to wash my hands and give my kids a bath. Lindsey used an electric nail file for my cuticles because she said they were hard. I was like do what you got to do. After she filed them and the cuticle was bleeding, she put the attachment back into the box of "fresh" nail files that she took it from! I hope I don't get an infection and I hope no one else gets an infection as a result. I was so upset and sore I didn't want to stay for the polish (so excuse the bare nails in the photos). When I got there I was the only person there so I wonder if they just didn't want to work on a Wednesday afternoon? Either way, I won't be back. read more

I pointed out a piece of lint embedded in my nails towards the end of the service, she rolls her eyes and reluctantly fixes then proceeds to tell me it was my fault because I touched my shirt which I didn't??? My nail technician was very meticulous and made sure that my nails were just like i wanted. They checked your temperature before i came in and had me fill a form stating that I acknowledged that I don't have any covid symptoms. Very safe and friendly! read more

I knew there was something off when the nail tech was going to put on tips without cutting or fixing my own nails. I have been going here for years. Today was my first time back since covid shut down. I felt safe and happy to return- Before you walk in they have hand sanitizer, take your temp and have you fill out a form Once you're in they ask you to wash your hands You must wear a mask all the employees are wearing gloves, masks, and face shields While you're getting a pedicure they have a large shield between you and your manicurist You don't touch the sample nail colors they have them hanging on the shields When you're getting a manicure you sit at a table and there is another shield between you and manicurist and one between you and other guest. They only have four clients in the building at a time They were sanitizing each station as the guest left. They are doing a lot of work to keep it clean and sanitized. I am so impressed with their commitment to keep it safe for themselves and their customers. I've always loved their work!!! read more

So I know all the steps.. which can be pretty annoying lol I have stopped going to nail shops if they forget to dry my feet or dropped a tool on the floor.. Kelly the owner is on top of it. Kelly is the best, she understands that not all nails are created equal. I have very thin nails that split down the middle. Kelly is like a magician, she makes sure my nails are strong and will last longer than any other nail salon I have tried. Due to Covid, I did not have my nails done for over a year and a half total embarrassment because they looked awful.. I am so happy I finally felt comfortable enough to go back. Kelly is A One when it comes to gels. I couldn't be happier that I am finally able to keep my hands out of my pockets. If you need acrylics see Winnie, she too performs magic. I've been here a couple times in the past, couple years ago, and I've had good experiences. Actually, one of the worst manicures I've ever gotten. Today not so much. I came on a Saturday afternoon, busy, but I was seen right away. I got a mani pedi. The woman who did my manicure was not too friendly at all. She was actually pretty condescending when I said I didn't want gel. There were little scratches all along my cuticles because when she put the solution on my finger nails almost all of them stung. She then accidentally wiped half my nail polish off (it was on the top of her hand), then proceeded to blame me saying, "it must have been your fault, you probably moved your hand. Which how would she know because she proceeded to look for where the nail polish came off, she didn't realize what happened until after the fact. Final product, there was polish all around my nails and a bump in a couple of them. The woman doing my pedicure did a good job, but didn't speak much English which is totally fine. When they were done they just walked away and didn't say anything or raise the arm rest, I was thinking, "ummm am I done here?" I didn't know if they had a nail drier or something. No they did not. Maybe I'll give this place another shot, but definitely won't be using the same manicure lady if I do. read more

I was referred here after seeing a woman's nails I liked. Made an appointment and went yesterday. The woman who did my nails used an electric buffer mostly to remove my gel nails. She burnt me more than once to which I brought to her attention and asked she be more careful. She then cut me while filing more than once - one of which I yelped in reaction. I again said please be more careful and asked to use a thinner file. My nails look okay at best. My pedicure was pretty but the massage was awful. I was wearing jeans so unable to pull up and informed them I don't have full feeling in my left foot - she was attentive when filing but the massage was just terrible (I get a pedicure every 2 wks I know the difference) When I nicely told the owner at the end that I was really upset and disappointed I still paid. When I got home, I was even more upset after further inspection as my fingers were bright red, tender and HURT where she cut me. I messaged the owner on Venmo so as to give her a chance to remedy. I requested 1/2 my money back - not even all as I respect it's a business and the time. She was so rude and said I was referred there so they must be good?!!! WHAT? Um, one good looking manicure does not mean the establishment is safe or good as a whole. Nor justify my unsafe and unprofessional cuts! She said she would check the cameras for cuts and I could return for her to take my dip manicure off THEN refund. NO. Fast forward to the evening my mothers eyes begins to burn but try to continue on with our day but notice that her eyelid is not noticeably big and now scared we rush to urgent care who than instructs her that she must to the ER for further care. Turns out she had a chemical burn from these drops. Yelpers, I would never try to tarnish a business but when my mother went back to inform them..THEY LAUGHED AT HER! Yknow, I don't get my nails done enough and when I find a good place, I stick with them. This was my first time at Unique, and I was referred by a friend who's a regular. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon, and they were able to see me right away. Their polish selection was awesome - both OPI and Essie colors. Every color too. I was sat in a nice massage chair and greeted with a smile. Tina worked on my toes and Jen on my nails. Both were so nice to talk to, and Tina's daughter was adorable. She entertained me with her christmas carols and funny jokes. I didn't get a design on my nails or go with any crazy acrylic set - just a basic mani/pedi $26! I called last minute to see if I could get in and unfortunately they wanted me to come in later than I could so I thought I had to go somewhere else. About 5 min later Kelly called me and was able to take me right away. I got there picked my colors for my mani/pedi and it was time to rock and roll. Kelly did my nails and followed the design exactly as I wanted it. It wasn't anything complicated but since the colors I chose were light she was sure to do quite a few layers. She shaped my nails just the way I wanted them and I couldn't be happier. I don't remember the name of the woman who did my tootsies but she always does them and does a great job. My only complaint this time was that I asked her to do two black hearts and the ended up looking like black blobs. She fixed them the best she could and they look kind of okay. She knew I wasn't happy with them and she didn't charge me. I didn't have time to go anywhere else for eyebrows so she did them for me. I must day, she did a great job. I am very particular about my brows. They over charge for the waxing but I had no time to go elsewhere. I was in and out in an hour. They use clean, sanitized, and high quality polishes. They do take walk-ins but they can ask you to come back later if they're assisting customers that actually booked an appointment in advance (which is completely fair). I'm very happy with the work they did. I got a full set of acrylic nails, making an appointment the day prior. I got regular polish, and everything came out to $20!!! (Before tip).
