My cousin and I had come here after calling because we wanted to do a quick mani pedi before our flight this weekend. We were greeted and found out that it was a husband/wife business which was great to see. First impressions of the place wasn't the greatest since it looked super rundown and old. There was a portable pedicure station that the husband used ( which I've never seen before ) and the spouse used the mani stations. We wanted more fall colours but they had limited colours or nail trend skills . The other thing that we noticed is that the salon has less certifications than other salons. Also the husband did not really know what he was doing . The reason why it isn't a 1 star is because they were courteous and super nice; the service , not so much. There are probably better places near Hermosa if anything. read more

I've been here two times now. Each time it's such a pleasant visit. I just get a manicure and pedicure each time and callus remover on my feet. They do such an amazing job it feels like I have a new set of hands and feet each time I leave. They do accept debit cards (they use square system) if you use your debit card it is a 2 dollar charge so I would recommend bringing cash. Another recommendation is to bring your own polish. It may not be an expensive looking environment but that type of thing doesn't really matter to me. their kindness makes the visit worth it. I'm a licensed cosmetologist myself so I'm always on the lookout for proper sanitation and they follow all the rules which is important to me. Anyways I Love hanging out with them and I'm impressed every time! read more

Kim and Ken are the very sweet, hard-working couple who run this little nail salon and their demeanor and thoughtfulness is why I kept coming back for 10+ years even though I live 20+ minutes away now. It is a very humble shop - you won't find massage chairs or anything fancy but what you will get is a manicurist who is very kind and talented, who will treat you like family and get you looking polished. I get the basics (a full set and a pedi) here every 2 weeks and they keep me looking professional. I notice that eyebrow waxing is also popular here but I don't get that service. I recommend calling ahead first because they get busy. read more

DONT NOT GO HERE! This was the worst manicure and pedicure. I had gel on feet prior to walking in and the guy went in on my toes with the machine instead of soaking the gel off first he completely took out my pink toe nail and on others left the nail so thin it hit the skin. The lady that did my nails left so much gel crust around all my nails and said she couldn't clean them that I should just go home and wash my hands. Never again!!! They did such a sh*t job for 65$ that was a job of 10 just for their bother. The whole vibe was just bad! I will never trade my nail lady for an emergency mani/pedi rather go bare. My toes hurt from how thin they are and they have gel crust around them too!!! And still went home washed my hands and the gel was so stuck to my cuticles. read more

That was the worst pedicure I've ever had. Literally my feet still hurt. I still have extra skin around my toes. The polish job sucks. The worst $32 I have ever spent on a pedicure. She is not experienced enough. The place is old and ran down. This lady needs to update her skills. And also her place of business. $7 eyebrow waxing! The lady who waxed my eyebrows did a really great job. She took her time in brushing my bushy eyebrows, shaping them and making sure every unwanted hair was removed. I was very satisfied with the outcome. Asian music was playing softly in the background which almost made me fall asleep. It was very relaxing. I gave her a good tip ^_^. Just to let you know, the interior is outdated but clean. It's also a bit dark inside because of the big yellow banners blocking the glass windows. But if it wasn't for those banners, I wouldn't have noticed the $7 waxing sign, which was the reason why I came in. Popped in here just to treat myself one day... SERVICE: Sweet! The owners (a lady and her husband) asked me about my life and told me about their children. MENU: I saw they offered French Manicure, Pedicures, basic manicures... I believe facials + waxings too! Their polish selection is okay... Mixed brands but mostly warmer tones than trendy colors. ATMOSPHERE: Quiet, a tv, comfortable seating, dim lighting... NITTY GRITTY: I paid about 16$ and 25$ with tip. This French Mani, wasn't AMAZING, but when she finished it looked FLAWLESS. I did however manage to chip it in a few days... I work as a waitress so things happen. I wish they had a gel option so I wouldn't have to worry about it, but I'd still come back. Just another run down little nail salon. The man did my pedicure and I'm not happy with it. He started with a very quick dip in the water, pulled out the filing machine and filed my nails too much. The clean up and cutting was sloppy and done in seconds. Same with the polish... 1 coat, the clear and he's done. Low budget rush job. I wanted to pay with my card but when he pulled out the attachment for his phone and wanted my debit card... I was not comfortable with that. So.. I paid in loose change. I won't be back. read more

They messed up my nails so bad. They didn't have any of the right colors I wanted. I proceeded to ask for a white tip but she didn't even do that right. She didn't even put the little pink color that makes it a French tip. The place looked so old and run down. I thought they would of done a better job for all the stars they have. I'm happy to be the first person to review Crystal nails in north Torrance. This is a small place and not fancy at all but service is always great. The lady owner and her husband are very nice and always treat you with respect. They make sure you leave happy, this place is affordable and they know what they are doing. I always get manicures and pedicures, also eyebrow and upper lip wax. I have never had a problem, definitely recommend them. P.S: They are closed on Sundays and holidays, do call before you go on the weekends because they get busy. She will give you an accurate wait time, I tend to go during the week. read more

First of all, I have to say the Kim and her husband are sweethearts! They both work together to get the job done! As soon as I came in they greeted me and didn't make me wait that long! It's not the fanciest of places but it's clean and comfortable very dim! With flowers everywhere! First, her husband stared to do my nails like glue in the nail and shaping them! I asked for oval but he didn't feel so sure about it! He did some kind of cricked! More like two nails! Then he told me to have a seat Kim was with another customer so when she finished she helped me out and straightened them nails out! So I was glad about that!! They were both very gentle no cuts or anything and they both took the time to get the job done! My nails don't look fake it looks like my natural nail. So I'm kind of glad about that! They even took the time to take some of the extra acrylic under the nail so I was happy about that too! But they didn't have many colors to choose from mostly reds dark colors maybe a couple light colors, which is the ones I always look for but I found one that I like. But if you were kind of picky I suggest you take your own! Also they weren't cheap with their nail polish if I wanted another coat she'll put it so that's a plus. She made me happy! I didn't get a pedicure but that's next on my list the customer before me was getting one she seemed so relax! My experience was not bad at all it was $18 for a full set! So I called because my normal nail salon was all booked up and asked how much was a gel man and reg pedi be Kim told me $25 but at the end of my service she told me my total was $40...... I was so upset because I specifically asked her before I even went and she told me $25 and also it was gel on my cuticles and it's no spa chair and only 1 person working there so I wasted like 2 hours of my day and was not pleased with my nails and then she told me a whole different price in the end when it was definitely not worth that price.... It's in some 711 parking lot in the back corner and its small and rinky dink only good thing I can say is that she is a very nice lady and that is all everything else was horrible and I won't be back and I suggest you to not even waste your time read more

I use to come here when I lived in N Torrance/Yukon Street and still came after I moved to S Torrance so for about 6 years I was a loyal customer. The drive just got to be too much. I have been to many nail spas after Crystal Nails and still have not found anyone like them ( husband n wife) can't remember their names. They are both very, very friendly, did great mani/pedi. Prices were reasonable. I NEVER had a rush pedi/mani because someone else was waiting, they don't double book or make you wait forever like other spas do. read more
