I always try to take my gel nail polish off myself but the gel really stuck to my nail this time and it was taking forever! I called this place and they said to come on by. When I walked in I literally had to yell to tell her why I was there and had to step way inside the shop to hear her lol. Although I'm sure walk ins are welcome, I'd probably schedule a time to come in if you don't want to wait. When it was my turn, the woman began grinding off my nails. But there was nothing to catch the dust so it flew everywhere. Same with when she ground my nails for the last second time the dust went everywhere. She then told me to wash my hands. And then she moved on to the next person. I venmo'd her $10...I didn't know they didn't take card. I also didn't know if she was gonna let me walk out without paying. She literally spoke 5 words to me. No cuticle oil, no nothing after washing my hands. Not even a chance to ask her to file my nails down a bit. Not sure I'd be back, honestly. read more

1st time checking out this location I read a few reviews and decided to give them a try since they had 4+ starts and pretty good reviews and for me personally being a man and only get regular cleaning they did ok I personally prefer when they get into your feet and clear all the extra skin and cut my nails short and really get in there and same thing for my manicure this place is a small place only 5 chairs and they do take a little to long from my experience at other salons the only thing about this place is they are cheaper then other places so if your looking for good prices they place will do read more

My friend and I called on short notice to see if they accepted walk-ins, and despite being short-staffed, they welcomed us warmly. I hate to leave a bad review, but they did a poor job with my nails. I asked for a fill, but they did not add additional acrylic. Instead, they sanded down my nails, leaving them weak and brittle. It's only been about 2 weeks, but U have to have my nails redone from scratch. The staff is all super nice, so I feel bad, but I want to remember this so I don't accidentally go back here. read more

Just let the art speak for itself! Hanna did an amazing, stunning nail design. I was so happy to have found this place before my birthday! I did have to wait a bit past my appointment time, as it looks like it gets busy with regulars. However, I was still promptly seated and Hannah took time to see my reference photos and explain what would look best. I took her recommendations for GelX and all sunflowers! She cleaned up all residue and left them very polished. I left feeling happier than I have ever felt leaving a nail salon with this beautiful set. Will be back soon, as they offer refills. I'm new to getting my nails done and decided to give this place a try after looking up multiple places, being it looked nice and the reviews were good. The service was alright, but I wish they would have explained more of what they were doing and what I was getting. I decided to go with almond gel extensions and I was pleased with how they turned out at first. I later realized there was dried glue all up on the underside of the nail and was told by a friend that they should have cleaned that up. Not even a week later and a couple already came off by accidentally hitting it against the door frame or trash can (not even that hard) and I'm not sure if this is normal or I need to take better care of them - again wish they would have informed me more about the nails I was choosing especially since I said I never had this done before. I'm disappointed because I didn't expect them to lift and come off so fast. I also spent a good amount of money and even left a $10 tip! And they came out nicely with the color and shape. I guess I'll give them a call and see if there's anything they can/will do and possibly give them another chance and update this. read more

I have tried this place twice and despite the fact it is within walking distance to my home I would rather go somewhere else. They are so rude and not welcoming at all! Plus they up charge every chance they get. If you are looking for a pleasant, relaxing experience this is definitely NOT the place. read more

I'm so happy that Hannah and her team have moved into my neighborhood! Everyone here is so nice and so talented. I have long natural nails, it's not always easy to find someone that can create a new nail to match my other nails if I break one. I work a lot of events, so my nails always need to look good. Other places were using acrylic, which always damages the new nail growing underneath. It's really frustrating when Your nail finally grows out to match the others, but you can't get the acrylic off without breaking your nail all over again. It's like a never ending cycle! Here they are using gel plus, which can just be melted off. Here's some things you need to know- Hannah paints with perfection! so you need to make an appointment. There's lots of street parking out front with no meters. Everyone here is super nice! Even the customers. This is a no attitude neighborhood. Lots of laughter and smiles. So if you're having a bad day, this will probably lift you up. Lastly, tipping in a nail salon is not the same as a restaurant. Just because your service is only $17, doesn't mean you only leave $3. Consider that you are leaving a tip for possibly 2 different people. It should never be less than $5 for a color change, mani or pedi. And up for gel and acrylics. Take care of them and they will take care of you :) read more

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Very bad customer service , owner was forcing me to get something I didn't want ! I kept telling her I wanted acrylic and she kept pushing to me get gel ! Seems like she just didn't want to do the work. She finally decided to do what I requested after I told her I would just leave, if I don't get what I want. Will never return here ! read more

I never thought I would get my eyelashes done at a nail salon. Hana is amazing when it comes to lashes. They last me over a month. I don't even lose a hair until maybe the second week. They don't pull out my lashes. She listens to my requests if I want them longer, shorter, wispier, etc. She is also reasonably priced for her quality of work and how long they last. I don't even need an appointment. Some days I call the same day and she is available. I am so happy I found her. read more

The last time I got my nails done was pre Covid, during Covid my nail salon I had been going to since my sophomore year of HS closed ... I'm 36 :( I was so bummed and had no idea where to go now plus I recently moved to the South Bay so felt more lost, after a few months of searching and after the many reviews i decided to try out this gem and boy am I happy I did, they are so sweet and my nails came out perfect, I'm actually overdue for fills but I've been working on house projects and the yard and let me tell you , as much as I put them through they have not fallen off or broke & that's one thing I love. I have been coming here for yearsss, maybe 7years or more!!! I love coming here. Hanna and rest of the staff do a great job on my mani & pedi all the time. My nails are healthy, clean, and lasts a long time!! I save pics and show her what I want, and Hanna gets it done!! I've gotten my nails done when I'm out of town and I always end up regretting it. I have been to this nail salon twice before and have never had the chance to write a review until now. Every time I walk in without an appointment, I'm seated promptly. Great customer service! This review is especially for the young gal who did my mani and pedi last Friday. I'm so sorry I didn't get her name but I'll remember her face. I told her I was a bridesmaid at a wedding that weekend and she suggested some nail colors that would match my bridesmaid dress. I also told her that I'm a barista and I can't wear polish at work. I needed something that could easily be taken off for work but at the same time, not chip before my friend's wedding. I must say that my mani is going on day 5 and it's held up quite nicely! I can't tell you how many times I've washed my hands, washed dishes, etc and my nails haven't chipped!!! I give this place 5 stars for their prompt service, reasonable prices and quality work. read more

My sisters have been coming here for years so I thought I'll give a try . I can't believe the service I received . The lady who did my feet burn the bottom of my foot because she let the liquid hit the bottom of my foot which burn and made it bleed . I was uncomfortable from the point where It hurts when I walk on it . I didn't make a fuss but I couldn't believe they charged full price after I'm walking limping . So disappointed read more

I got lucky today cause I walked in and got Hanna. I showed her a photo of a set I wanted and she made it happen. I did a lot of firsts, first time doing GelX, first time getting almond shape and first time getting anything other than gel over my natural nails in like 15 years. Also, I normally get a french tip and she did a gorgeous spring bouquet on my hands!! I never get what I want when I go into salons, but for the first time, i got exactly what I hoped for. She's amazing and 10/10 I do recommend. read more

I commute 40 miles just for Hanna and her amazing team of nail techs! Any type of nail design, they can do and never disappoint! Very friendly staff! Great parking in the front and back of the salon. I recommend bringing cash for payment and calling in for appointment as they can get busy. read more

I would recommend this place again and again. In fact, any time my friends are in town and looking to get their nails done, I send them straight here! From a quality perspective, Nail Design & Spa (now at the Nice Nails building) offers friendly staff, wonderful service, and an EXCELLENT selection of colors. They have every color of the rainbow and everything else in between available. I kid you not. I've tried various nail salons in the Torrance area and this is my absolute favorite. I've been going for 5+ years and will continue to go here as long as I'm local. I'd also like to especially call out Hanna, who is a meticulous and talented nail artist. I always love getting my nails done because I'll show her a picture for inspiration, and she'll do something better. She also recommends great products to me. Thanks again Hanna for the hybrid gel! Wow oh wow I'm so happy finally got to meet and have my nails done by the yelp famous Hannah! And I have to say it was worth the wait.. I waited to get my fill and I'm glad I did she did an exceptional job I'm beyond happy with the results wish I would of found her sooner but nonetheless I highly recommend this nail salon. Quality work you won't regret it. Well here's my list of pros and cons.. yes there were a couple of cons but anyway here we go. Pro: Hannah :) she's the best really she's the only reason I went but upon coming here I have left with now knowing more. There service is good the work is good you really can't ask for more but I really loved how this is a family establishment. Another plus is they have so many people working at a single time with cuts the wait time down although I had to wait for a little bit my daughter was seen right away.. Plz note in no way are my cons negative against the salon I just wanted to imply that there are some things that may or may not delay someone's appointment/ experience just wanted to make sure I gave an idea of what to expect..... Cons yes I know how can there really be any with 5 but there is.. parking (good luck) finding one it took me a few minutes to get one they were full but I managed to get one. This is a heads up to anyone come a little early to get a spot.. payment; They prefer cash but take card they do have an ATM but you know if it's not your bank you get a fee of $2.99+ ^ its cool I would of paid cash had I known but definitely will take cash next time. That's all really, no other things stood out that I felt would impose on someones appointment. I would recommend to anyone come here you will love it read more

I come in after driving almost 2 hours because this particular nail tech doesn't accept appointments EVEN though they have a website for it. I EVEN CALL!! I come in asking for a simple fill and polish. The nail tech is working on one of the workers (IN THE SALON) hands and the front desk is saying that she can't do my nails because she has two people she needs to do. I said I don't believe that because she's sitting there doing one of her coworkers nails. When I say that she starts getting up to go to them lol. If she needed to do two other people's nails then why is she not doing their nails?? JUST UNPROFESSIONAL. I've spent thousands of dollars at this establishment over the years and just to be disrespected like that was honestly the last straw. Then they talk about you in their language. I will never go back there ever again. DO NOT GO THERE. SUPER UNPROFESSIONAL. NOT WORTH THE MONEY ANYMORE. They LACK CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEXT INCIDENT: IM TALKING ABOUT THE TECH LISA IN BOTH POSTS. So today, January 21, this lady has been doing my nails for about almost 2 years now since my first nail tech Frank is sick and has been sick for months and my previous nail tech as well, Liz moved to Florida. I needed someone that does designs and they said Lisa was the next best person so I decided to go with her. Today I came in for a polkadot French tip/refill and as she was doing my nails, her next appointment came in. She told the front desk to tell the lady that it will take her another 20 minutes because she still has to do the polkadot designs. This is at 12:10 PM. Mind you I came in at 11 to get started on my nails. Lisa then starts rushing on my nails messes up a FEW polkadots and uses the nail file and messed up another nail. She expected me to pay $100 of rushed work and walk away. She then started to call me names and say I'm very picky and that she doesn't want to do my nails anymore and that no one at the establishment wants to do my nails. I have been going there for over seven years. I've only had about two or three nail techs and they have all left the establishment. She is very rude and will do sloppy work when she is feeling rushed and will tell you that you are too picky. I save lives for a living and all you have to do is do my nails correctly and I'm picky? It's such an insult. Especially after giving these people hundreds /thousands of dollars over the years. I highly suggest you guys start reconsidering coming to this establishment because it has greatly changed over the years. The only person that I trust on the nail side is Natalie. She does amazing pedicures and she will always make sure that it is done to your liking. I'm actually grateful she banned me from her booking list because I don't have to deal with her nasty attitude anymore.
