I stopped in today on a whim because I had some free time and desperately needed a mani pedi. Mina was very welcoming and took me right away. She is so sweet, very friendly and wants to make sure you are comfortable and okay with her work every step of the way. She even helped "fix" one of my real nails that was splitting by adding some acrylic to even it out - free of charge. I can't say enough how sweet Mina is. I will definitely come back again. She does her own art work and her designs look amazing. Since her shop is small, there is a chance she may not be able to take you right away. But if you can wait, it is well worth it. I wish I did not come here.. 1) she was doing someone's pedicure before mine and did not wash her hands after doing it. Instead, she just did my nails right after. 2) she stopped in the middle of doing my nails to feed the pigeons outside and came back to continue without washing her hands. 3) she cut me up so many times 4) she didn't clean up my nails after 5) my nails overall looked a little uneven Overall, this place was unsanitary and my fingers + fingernails were hurting the next day to the point that I thought I had gotten an infection. It's my first time ever getting acrylics so I was like "hook me up" to the older male who did my nails. It's cute and all but I had to add the diamonds myself because it was so plain to me and I don't think I'm a fan of the powder colors it makes your nail look so thick haha. And check out my cuticles though they didn't even bother with them. I also got a plain mani & my total was $54 totally not worth the price. I have mixed reviews about this place.. service: take off & new set with gel Mina is the owner.. she's the most sweetness and honest manicurist I've ever met. she really explained every step of the process which was nice. her method when is very old fashion.. she prefers using file tools instead of the machine. In my opinion.. I didn't like it bc it made my nails TOO FAT. but she was very gentle when it came to taking off my nails. the reason why I give this place 4/5.. is bc even tho she's the kindest person.. her methods of keeping the place clean wassn't enough for me. she doesn't put liners in the tub salon chairs, uses old tools, dusts off the the powder residue from my hands w the same brush to wipe her table.. my total was $40 with $10 tip.. I don't know if it's just bc Mina May have been socially deprived during quarantine or something, but she tended to talk quite a bit more than any normal nail Salonist and much more than I'd preferred. I even mentioned that I had work on my phone to tend to and she kept making unnecessary comments (aside from normal inquiries about the service) that I couldn't understand so more time was spent just answering her bc she seemed to get frustrated if I didn't acknowledge her comments.... Idk about other people but a pedi is supposed to be relaxing I thought and usually during all of my prior pedicures the Salonist allows for people to just kick back and relax, but I didn't feel encouraged to do that at all. I asked her for the whole spa experience and she barely spent two minutes on the massage despite having had no customers waiting... I am however pleased that she added a third layer of polish on by request so that it wouldn't come off too soon. But she expected me to walk barefoot over to what she says is a fan (but is actually the gel curing light) instead of just bringing it over to my my toes.. yikes! Overall I wouldn't recommend coming here, I won't be coming back, I have to be able to tune out the world when I'm at these kinds of things read more

I've had great experiences before but this last wasn't great and left me annoyed and upset. The lady that did my pedicure kept trying to up sell stuff (which I get it that's what you do) but they way she did it was annoying. She just added on product and started doing whatever scrub it was before she continued further, she asked if it was on to proceed. You already started, I don't understand why you couldn't ask first. The first 2 add ons I was fine with but the third, which was adding lotion on massaging, I said oh I don't need the massage thank you. She kept asking if I was sure and I kept telling her that I didn't want to add. Tell me why she rinses off the lotion she put on me leaving my skin and feet with dryness???? What was the point of getting a pedicure if my feet were going to be crusty after? Definitely the last time I will be coming in. read more

I went to Mina for the first time last Monday, and my nails still look great!!! I got a dipping powder full set! She took her time making sure that they looked good. Don't bother setting an appointment, if you arrive on time you'll only be made to wait if she's working on someone and will take wax walk-ins. I don't understand why I had to set up an appointment... Came here for a pedicure based off of the reviews, but wished I hadn't. I called and set my appointment for 1:00, arrived on time just to wait 20 minutes for her to finish with her previous client. Then I was asked to sit in the "spa" chair in which I waited another 30 minutes since she decided to help a walk in.... fast forward to a whole hour later she got back to working on my nails, mind you I was only there for a pedicure. When it came time to pay she gave me a different price than we had discussed over the phone and that was because she said I was being charged for the "spa treatment" (the "spa" chair I was made to wait in) although she had insisted I sit there.. She's a very nice , offers good service and wants you to be satisfied before leaving. I got a basic gel manicure and regular manicure and she did a neat job. Came here for a gel pedicure and it was nice. The space is pretty big and my friend and I didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes. They did try to offer extras (ie callus removal and salt scrub) but I appreciated that they actually said how much extra it was without me having to ask. Mina is the best!! I had gone to her over 10 years ago when she was near 120th & Hawthorne, I've found her again!!! She is now my permanent manicurist, I go every two weeks. Maybe "Sheba" does a good job... but the Asian lady who works with her is TERRIBLE. I left feeling so frustrated and unsatisfied!!! I feel like I just wasted 25 dollars. The job was so bad honestly, I'm going home to remove the gel nails and repaint them myself. Sheba (apparently the owner) didn't check in with me once. She seemed so overwhelmed/stressed out/panicking because she had a few clients waiting. Her assistant (the asian lady) is supposed to prime/prep the nails for painting. I guess Sheba was supposed to paint for me. But since she was "too busy" she told the Asian lady "you paint, its ok." Boy was that a mistake. Not only did the Asian lady who did my nails pull and rip cuticles off. But her hands were SOOOOO shaky and unsteady. At first, I thought she was joking or being funny. It was so bad. She was in the wrong type of business..... She painted each finger (very messily) outside of the lines. Then proceeded to take a brush and remove the polish with acetone. Who does that?? Not a professional job... AT ALL. I guess that's why Sheba should be painting? I don't know. But I won't risk it. I will never come back or waste my time or money here. The person who reviewed her bad actually goes to different nail places and reviews bad every time and always has something negative to say. Hmmm...that's interesting.
