First time customer. When you walk in they make you manually sign in on an iPad and select your service. I chose the powder acrylic option for my daughter and her friend which was supposed to start at $45. When I went back they gave me $160 bill with $60 base prices. Refused to honor the price a literally physically agreed to at sign in, I contested the charges and will NEVER go back. The nails are sloppy as sh*t too. read more

I had a gel manicure about 2 weeks ago. The work station was very dirty. Also, the light that was used to cure the polish was very dirty. A few days later, I developed an infection on my finger near the side edge of the nail. It is red, swollen and very painful. The manicurist made small cuts in the skin around the nail when he was trimming dead skin. A sanitary salon is imperative so infections and disease do not spread to customers. My finger is still infected and very painful. I do not recommend this salon and I will never return. read more

The salon is very clean and they open new tools in front of you, giving you the file and buffer to take home. They offered me a choice of drinks when I sat down and all of the employees were super friendly and welcoming! I got a French pedicure and French gel manicure. I prefer a thinner French tip and a pink undercoat, this is not how they do theirs but I should have specified my preference beforehand. I was charged for a spa pedicure but the man did not even buff my feet so they're still rough, defeating the purpose of a pedicure? Gel manicure tips are inconsistent and have a lot of mistakes. I would be happy with the quality if it wasn't so pricey. I was also talked into getting the French gel for an up charge which I don't mind but at least have the service you're pushing on people perfected. Don't let the lack of name fool you. If you're looking for a quick, solid, well done manicure this is the place. I normally paint my own nails but figured $15 for a standard manicure is worth it and it definitely was. There was no line, I signed in, picked my color, sat right down and the male manicurist I had got right to it. First he asked me if I wanted a drink. He gave me the works- cuticle pushing and oil, filing, buffing, little hand massage, that little clipper thing that pulls off tiny pieces of skin (?). The polish looks great, almost like a gel manicure. Stuck my hand under the lights to dry and was good to walk out in 10 minutes. I will definitely be back!! read more

If I could give this place less stars, I would. Worst experience of my life getting my nails. I went in with high expectations because the Nail Studio was wonderful, but I'm not here to discuss the original. The staff here were extremely rude. After signing in there's a sign that reads "please wash hands before appointment". So, following the instructions I went to the sink to wash my hands and was immediately chided before directed to choose a nail color. A little taken aback I brushed it off and chose my colors. After that I waited over 25 minutes to be serviced as technicians read off the list, OUT OF ORDER, and allowed people who had come in after me to go ahead. (I should have walked out then). After I was finally seated I was met with a disgruntled and standoff-ish gentleman who wrinkled his face at me when I said I wanted acrylics, and eventually after much nagging, talked me into doing this new "all natural" powder nail. It's basically a gel and acrylic combined. The technician continually smacked my finger with an emery board when my fin8gers became stiff, and got very rude with me. He flicked my knuckles on several ocassions after that. Once I 4was finally done I was shocked at the horrible result. My nails are uneven with curves in the middle of the nail. There's jagged edges that I had to go home and file down, and the nails themselves are already scratched up and looking poorly after only 2 days when I was promised they'd "last longer than acrylics". I was excited to try this place, but it was an overall disappointing experience. My basic powder nails cost $45!!! I couldn't believe anyone would charge that high amount at such a no-frill place. I had to settle on a color that I wasn't thrilled about since the selection wasn't great, and it hurt when the technician used her sharp nails to clean my nail edges. The biggest surprise to me, after the cost, was how unfriendly the staff was. The two people who I assume own the place never smiled once. I tried to be friendly and personable, but the man's scowl was very uncomfortable. Not only won't I go back, but I wish part of the cost I paid could be refunded. :-( read more

My sister and I had scheduled a pedicure for my mom and us for my mom's birthday (a little mother-daughter day). The original place we called screwed us over and we ended up here on very short notice. The three ladies who took care of us were WONDERFUL! Terrible experience. The woman who did my nails didn't seem to be paying much attention to what she was doing, and the extent of my "manicure" was a little bit of filing and haphazardly brushing on some french tips. On top of that, she cashed me out first, so I gave her the tip before any services had been rendered. I am seriously regretting tipping 20%. When I got home, I was so unhappy with the results that I immediately took off the nail polish. I could have done the entire thing myself with better results. Will NEVER be returning. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. My daughter who happens to be in a wheelchair and is non verbal was refused service yesterday. Her aid was advised that they do not do nails for "people like her". Go some place else - how rude and ignorant can you be. My daughter has gone other places for her nails without issue. I had been going here for years but the last time I went was terrible. I had dip powder on my nails when I originally got there and wanted to take it off to put regular polish on. The took off the powder as if it was an acrylic which hurt and ripped my nails. They then filed my nails down, which they did unevenly, and put regular polish on my nails (also unevenly). I have been getting my nails done for years and I have never experienced this and will not return to this location. I do visit the Nail Studio in Marketplace Mall but they are closed due to renovations. I even understand that nail salons in the malls are more expensive because of the higher rent that they have to pay. But because of this, I expect to receive quality service. I got a nail fill with gel polish on Sunday and by Monday the gel on my thumb started to peel. I brushed it off, maybe I hit my nail up against something. By Tuesday, the other thumb and a couple fingers had peeled and chipped. The gel polish was coming off in strips. I called to complain and was told the only thing they could do was re- polish if I drove 25 minutes to their location. I didn't even want a full refund, but I expected at least a partial refund. The polish they used was clearly CHEAP. I will just find another salon to get my polish changed but THEY will never get my service again! read more

This was probably the worst manicure I've every had. He asked if it was ok to cut, so I said ok, just to even them up. I told him round, he cut my nails straight across almost to the quick. No nail left to round. He did the hand massage after he filed my nails, used no cuticle oil, there was no hand washing before the lotion, he massaged the nail dust into my hands, then had me wash them. It was a last minute decision to go there today and I regret it. I got my nails done by a gentleman working there and he seemed very disinterested in doing my nails. He went on auto-pilot when he started to do my nails and he seemed to rush through the process. My nails we not cut well (rough and uneven) and my polish looked very sloppy. My two friends and I went there to get mani pedis for a wedding we were in. They took ten minutes to do our pedicures (which ended up chipping a week later!), and we didn't get to sit together (and it wasn't that busy). Yet again, for our manicures, we didn't sit next to each other and they turned out horrible! My friend and I got acrylic nails and hers were all shaped differently. Mine had bubbles everywhere and started lifting two days later on almost every finger! My other friend had a French gel manicure that ended up looking awful and pealed off a couple days later. Me and a group of girlfriends decided to get pedi's after lunch at the mall. We were a group of 6. When we walked in, we were very confused on where we should wait until we were called to start our pedi's. So, we ended up standing around in the middle of the salon. They had us sign in eventually - which I didn't know to do upon walking in. Then they started to call us back - in no sequence of the "sign in" sheet, as other people who just walked in were called back before half of our group was called back. I'm not sure if it's a culture barrier here or what, but it was very awkward. One of my girlfriend's sat down next next me and her water was ice cold. She asked politely if they could warm the water up for her and he responded that our group has used up all of their hot water...... umm.... okay. The massage chairs were nice, but strangely, they also massaged your bum as well as lady parts - very awkward! My girlfriend asked how to turn it off so it didn't do that - and I'm pretty sure her "consultant" (if that's the correct term, i'm really not sure) straight up ignored her. I ended up working with her to turn hers off. After our pedicures, we were left to dry, naturally. But after 30 minutes, I asked who I could pay so I could leave. They were baffled that I hadn't paid yet. The whole experience was strange and uncomfortable. The service was extremely poor as well. Will not be going back. read more

HORRIBLE!!! The studio located by Starbucks & Macy's is just awful. Had a gel manicure which started to buckle up and peel off the very same day. Didn't have a chance to get back to the mall until 2 days later and the nail technicians were very rude and would only agree to paint the 5 nails that were peeling off. You could see the other 5 were beginning to do the same thing. Went over to the studio by Penny's which is owned by the same couple and they couldn't have been nicer. Visited on 3/3/2017 not my usual place to go. (My nail tech was booked on short notice) My nails definitely look sub par in comparison. You can feel the ridge between the cuticle and nail bed area. Not shaped well. And, another customer came in to get her upper lip waxed, since she cam in the 2 guys were chuckling and conversing in their home language, the only word you could make out was waxing really. My elderly Mother received $80 in gift certificates to the Nail Studio & Spa none of which had expiration dates reflected on the certificates. The owner and technician refused to accept the certificates for service even though they did not show an expiration date. Given the amount invested in supporting this business and also obtaining nail services this was not only a huge disappointment but justification to take our future business elsewhere. read more

Today my mother and I went to Nail Studio 2 in Eastview Mall to have mani-pedis done and this was the absolute worst manicure and pedicure that I've ever had. I don't know about you, but to me, a manicure/pedicure means more than cleaning my feet/hands and applying nail polish. During the pedicure, there was only cursory attention to paid to my cuticles and NO USE of a foot file/paddle. Similarly, the manicure consisted mostly of them cutting my nails and filing them. As my polish was drying, I noticed that my hands and legs were feeling very dry and when I looked at them, my skin looked almost ashen. My mother's heels still had visible cracking. I called the technician over (who I think had forgotten us once already) and showed her my hands and legs and my mothers heels. I told her my skin was very dry and I never had a treatment before that left my hands and feet dry and my heels not smooth. She said that it's how they do it - it's because they apply hot towels at the end and don't use oils and it's winter (note: this winter has been almost spring/fall like.) As for my mother's feet, she said that unless they used foot blades, they couldn't do anything for dry feet/cracked heels. Then she handed me some lotion to apply to my hands and feet and told me that she would wait up front for me to pay. Now, I don't know about you, but I expect my skin to feel VERY soft after a salon treatment. I should not have to lather up my hands, legs and feet in the back of a nail salon in order to feel some relief and though I wasn't expecting miracles, I do also expect that my heels feel softer than when I came in. During payment - she never gave me a total, just stood there waiting for me to hand her money - I again said I was unhappy and she said that's how they do it and if I had a problem I could go somewhere else or call the owner. In addition, the change she handed me was less than I thought I was due and when I asked her about it, she brusquely corrected me and turned and walked off, telling her colleagues in the back that I was complaining about the cost. I went back and told her no, I was not complaining about the cost, I was complaining about the terrible service. When I asked her for the owner's name, she said that I could take a card (no owner's name on the card) and when I asked her again for the owner's name, she said I should call the mall and ask them. I asked her again and she said, "Peter" and walked off. What should have been a nice hour or so spent with my mother, was a waste of money and time. The salon itself needs a good cleaning (layers of dust on and around the drying station for one) and the employees need to seek work where they don't have to deal with people. Upon later inspection of my mother's hands and feet, you can see that her cuticles are ragged, there is nail polish between her toes where the technician (another technician) was sloppy, and of course her heels are no different as to when we walked in. My own nail polish is unevenly applied in a few areas and my own feet and hands still have rough, dry areas. Terrible service, terrible treatment. Save your money and do it yourself or go somewhere else. I will update when/if I am able to contact management. read more

I wish I could leave less stars for this awful business. I wish I waited a day to go to my normal salon for my fill. The gel polish has already started to chip and has bubbles in it. Also the lines for the design on my nails aren't even or straight. Additionally they ruined the shape of my nails when they filed them. I go back there to ask them to fix it and she tells me it's a waste of her time. Worst customer service ever. I get it, no ones perfect. I can't draw those lines straight myself or paint my nail but if I messed something up or if my client is not happy with my service I would never be rude about it, I would want to make it right. Customer service is mostly where they went wrong. My nails could always be fixed but bad experiences will keep me away from that business for good. Oh, God. This is how I would choose to describe my experience at Nail Studio. My friend, her mom, my mom and I all went last Saturday (April 29) to get our nails done after an afternoon of shopping. My friend and I got mani pedis and our moms just got pedis. The salon seemed relatively clean and pleasant in the beginning. I sat down to get my pedi and the lady seemed nice enough. She didn't speak much, but that was fine with me because I'm pretty laid back and sometimes shy. When she did speak, I quickly discovered, she was cold and rude. She rushed through my pedicure as if there were thousands of customers lined up at the door and did not let my feet soak for any more than 5 minutes max. Then came the manicure. I had decided to get gel, which she was fine with, but what she wasn't very happy with was how much polish I was wearing. I had 4 coats of regular nail polish on, and when it didn't come off with one hurried swipe of remover, she said, "How much polish did you put on?!" as if to scold me. Now, my nails are naturally very long and I almost always keep them painted. Although they are a little yellow, they are healthy and happy. When the nail technician saw my bare nails, she said, "why do you keep your nails long?" I nicely told her that I preferred them that way. She responded with, "they're turning yellow."
