She handed me a drink menu and made sure I was comfortable before her and Anne started working on my nails. Michelle gave me a Golden Mystique Pedicure while Anne simultaneously gave me a Golden Mystique Manicure. Both were kind, attentive, and thorough. The music and ambiance is calming with TVs muted and showing various cooking channels including travel and Food Network compilations. This was my first visit, but this spot is clearly loved by the community. Other clients were familiar with the technicians, greeting them by name. Multiple people said hello and goodbye to Anne as they came through, and someone even hugged Michelle before they left. However, Susan did a fabulous job on my (Dip only) nails, and changed the (regular) polish on my toes... BUT.. I was overcharged. $65 +Tax and 20% tip. I was told - Dip was $40 & Polish was $15 = $55 When I called them to make another appointment with the same girl, I wanted to first inquire about the charges; I couldn't get a solid answer... the Manager-Lily kept changing the "fee" amount (for each service) to try and "match/justify" what I was charged. She kept saying ... "You got a pedicure" (I did not), then "you got gel polish" (I did not)... "$5 to soak nails" (Okay - I've never been charged extra for this service, but okay - it's still an overcharge!). She kept changing the base fee, even blaming it on her dad (who processed the transaction) ... until I gave up and decided that this place isn't worth the STRESS it would bring if I returned. * Customers deserve a CLEAR Pricing structure - you don't get to charge whatever you want and expect them to return... and risk an even higher fee the next time!! Who has time for that!! * Had this been corrected... or handled better, I may have given them a higher score; but ZERO effort was made! * Customer Service & honesty matters! * Looks like I am not the only person complaining (reviews) about being overcharged! At the end of the service we found out we were charged $5.00 for extensions and $5.00 for shape. I had builder gel on my fingers and only at the time of payment did I find out there was $7.00 charge for removing the builder gel. I also had to ask for my lady to do a second coat for the nail polish, which I found unusual since most nail salons normally do two coats of color without being asked. Overall, decent place, but I did not appreciate the hidden prices.
