I asked for luminary nails. Instead of admitting she didn't know what they were, she assumed they were cat eye (they're not). I was even explaining Luminary to another customer while she did my nails and Heather didn't utter a word. I paid for my service, complimented her, tipped well, and left. The nails are pretty but it's only been a few days of light wear and the polish is chipping. Not to mention, Heather was nice but she complained about her financial situation which is so unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

I got gel mani and pedi done . As soon as I went in , before I could settle in on the chair or put my purse down properly two nail technicians rushed me to get started . I felt that I didn't receive good service as they were trying to get other customers in line . The manicure tech turned off my massage instead putting it on slow setting if interfered with the manicure. I was told to use massage chair after my nails were done which was for a super short period . The gel is super poor quality. 2 days after , it started peeling . It peels off like regular nail polish. I also felt that my cuticles and dead skin around nails weren't cleaned properly . read more

This nail salon is the best! My sister and i Go there often we love the shop. I was sad to hear a mother and 2 daughters , came in to get their nails done. As Heather was finishing, the woman said she had to leave , on an emergency. She wanted to leave , and not pay her. Heather explained, that she had done her job, and she needed to pay. They left, anyway, and flipped her the bird. They may post a review, bashing this shop, but they were wrong. They came in to get her service, and fully intended not to pay. This is a sanitary, friendly and qualified to do their job. The prices are very good. You have a choice to select the price you want with a pedicure. read more

I have been going here for YEARS and have always raved about it. My favorite tech left a while ago, but Heather always does a great job. The unfortunate thing is when I don't get Heather, I have yet to have a pleasant experience. Even with pictures, they have not done what I asked multiple times. I had a really good experience there and my nails turned out so pretty, I was very pleased until they just started to break off not even after a week (I got nextgen). I eventually just took them all off after I lost 3 in one day, no matter how careful I was they were just snapping off. I asked one of the esthetician's at my job and she said they were done too thin. I don't think I'll return here even tho I really liked how they looked when I first got them done but I don't want to spend money just to have them break within less than a week:( read more

I spent over an hour in a chair where the technician started the water in the tub for me and poured in something that said Green tea. I was purchasing a "Jelly or Pearl" Pedi for $55. I thought it was the thickening she added to the water. It only turned the water green never got thick at all. While the water was running the technician left and didn't comeback for a long time. I heard smashing water but was on my computer and wasn't paying attention. After a few minutes I looked up after hearing this water sound and the water had been over flowing and running out on the floor on both sides to the tub. The technician is no where to be found. There was only me and the pedi tech and the nail tech and her customer. I yelled out to the nail tech I need some help here. She yelled something in her native language and never coming to check on me. I stood up to figure out how to turn the water off. I figured it out and the Pedi tech came out later and began to clean up the water on one side of the tub with a mop that didn't soak up much water, then she went to get hand towel size towels to soak up the water which took a long time for her to clean up and she didn't clean up the water of the opposite side. I was concerned for my safety in this electric chair with wasted water all around. No other place was opened so I hung in there. I wanted to leave at the water over flow-She never apologized but began my pedi. At this point the water is watery there are 2 options: 1 she didn't understand what I requested, 2 the over flow of water thinned out the thickening. I wanted her to get finished at this point. I asked her to show me the menu she didn't understand and pulled out from where I was pointing a pair of slippers- I had already came with flip flops so that was confirmation for me she didn't understand. I wanted to ask where is the "jelly or Pearl" but didn't want to add more time to the already long pedi. So I assumed she didn't give me what I asked for so when it is time to check out I walk to the front desk. I asked for the menu again and she said $55. I said, I didn't get my jelly and I can't see if I am getting anything else because that list of items was long. She lead lady said you got your Jelly- because it is not as think as you want doesn't mean you didn't get it and proceeded to go get the packets that said Green tea to show that the pedi tech put "it" in the water. I explained to her that maybe it over flowed out of the tub to dilute the product- but how is that my fault. With the over flow and the moping and the water not thickening- I felt they should not make me pay for a portion of the service. Finally I tried to negotiate what is reasonable- but she kept arguing $55. I said no way after a few minutes of her yelling and going back and forth with the other lady in their native tongue- I figured if I offered $20- which I know is way low for any service- My point was to stop the madness and get her to be reasonable. It furthered her anger AND she had 2 other customers there ranting and raving and threatening to call the police on me. She said "leave and see what happens to you". So This is another threat to my person- so I obliged to see if she was going to put her hands on me. Before I left I put 2 $20 on the desk and turn to walk out and she was blocking the door. I walked up to the door (wishing she would! told her I would never comeback to this place! She opened the door wide enough for me to go around her and followed me outside with her phone and video taped me and my vehicle and license plate. Arguing and fussing while she has 2 customers inside and she is outside with $40 on the desk. What kind of business is this??!! She said "my tech worked to hard for you for you to give me $40". She then tried to blackmail me and or threaten me that " if you give me a bad review I am going to post these photos and videos on the internet. What about the customer service? She totally ignored the unprofessionalism on her behalf, the subpar service and wanted to be paid 100%. The police came and asked me to give her $5. I gave the $5 and asked for a reciept. She refused to give the recipe to the officers. They told me dont worry about it they have it on body cam if I ever needed evidence. $40 would have squashed everything, but for $5 dollars she gets this review. The chairs dont go all the way back so if you are 5'5 at least and over your knees for the duration will be in right angle- I had to take my foot out of the water from time to time to stretch out my leg. read more

First, I would say that i would have given a lower rating if possible than the one I am now, if Yelp had permitted. I used to go here consistently but the customer service has depreciated since my last visit. Heather and her associates do not prioritize clients nor will they ever. Not only did she ask if i could move my appointment 30 minutes earlier (last minute), but she also gave me a different nail tech when i specifically asked for her service. The nail tech that worked on me did an absolute terrible job to the point i had to write this review. Even with walking the technician how I wanted everything, I am in absolute disgust. I highly recommend that this business be shut down immediately and no other clients use their services. read more

The lady that did my pedicure/manicure did an okay job. However, the package price is $25. When you get to register, the total is $31. What is the additional $6 for? Also, when I asked the manager (I'm assuming) for two $5 bills versus a $10 bill (in order to tip manicurist), she stated I had two $5 bills in my hand. True, I was having a blond moment but for her to point this out versus handing me two $5 bills as I request was rude. I will not go back as there are better places. read more

We were disappointed that several other salons would not help us, but the owner and coworker at 9th Serenity Spa welcomed us and were happy to help us. They really took awesome care of us. First time trying this place after moving and having to leave my beloved nail salon. I was nervous to try somewhere new but overall it was great! I got Nexgen on my nails and there were plenty of options to choose from. I got a basic pedicure and the lady that did it must have massaged both of my feet and legs for 10 minutes each i love nothing more than an extra long foot rub. The menu of pedicures was a little confusing with only the most expensive one mentioning callus removal. I went with it even though it was more than what I wanted to pay. The decor is nice with pleasant spa music playing. I was relieved that they used the plastic liners in the chairs - some places still don't do this. They offered me water and started by rubbing grapefruit all over my legs and wrapping them in warm towels. Overall, the pedicure was great! I left feeling very relaxed after an extended massage! So, a few months back I found this place on Yelp and decided to try it, based on the fact that it (a) had pretty good reviews, and (b) is close to my house. I wanted the gel nails in white, so that's what I asked for. I guess I needed to specify manicure, because the lady who did them literally just painted my nails and nothing else. Also, she seemed put off by my presence. Forgetting I had already been there, I scheduled a pedicure for myself ad my 4 y/o daughter months later, for a little mommy-daughter date. They had to keep moving me to different chairs because the massagers weren't working, the water wouldn't get hot, etc. I finally just gave up and stuck with a chair that wasn't functioning at 100%. They also were pretty bossy regarding my daughters activity, which really annoyed me. She's not a wild child by any means, and didn't seem to be getting into anything or disturbing anyone. I really wanted this to be a relaxing experience, but it was painful, awkward, not pampering, and the energy was cold. I felt like I was being talked about the whole time I was there. It's completely worth the 20-minute drive and the small tolls on George Bush to get here. I'm VERY picky about my nails and Heather is awesome. went here with a couple friends yesterday. waited a long time to even start on our nails and pedicures. my friend that was getting a pedicure had to have the water changed THREE times that's how long we were waiting. and the techs were so careless to me. because she turned on the water the first time for my friends pedicure and then went to work on the lady's that were there before us. if it wasn't for ME turning the water off it would have overflowed onto the floor. and she didn't even notice or seem to care because she didn't look back or check at all to see that it was off. one of the techs did my nails first. and she rushed through the entire thing. barely filed the outside of my nails. i got powder and one hand is a different shade then the other one. she did not care about the little details and how one of my nails has a black spot in the middle of it from something in the powder i'm assuming and put clear coat on anyways. and the color i got was a light blue with lots of glitter and when she was dipping my nails she didn't even bother mixing the glitter evenly in the container and you can tell on my nails. this was my first time here and i will not be returning. not worth the money that was paid because she didn't even take her time. read more
