This place rocks! a hidden gem in the jewel city. haha ok totally cheesy, but I'm serious. This place is awesome. Take it from me, who gets weekly mani pedis. Super clean, stylish, and good quality. They use only OPI nail polish, which is hands down the best nail polish out there. My favorite part? they all speak english and they speak it well. So if you're picky about your nails they'll understand what you want done. They use a fresh set of tools for every customer. It's really not your typical nail salon. It feels more like a high end spa, menu and all. I got the "silver" mani pedi combo for $30. TRUST me, its worth it. Been a week and my nail polish still hasn't chipped. They use a primer type liquid on your nails as well so the nail polish last longer. Highly recommend this place if you look for quality. If you just want a quick wham bam thank you ma'am that'll chip tomorrow feel free to go to the cheaper places in the area. I had my second visit here today and I couldn't have been happier with the service I received on both occasions. The staff is great and the owner is super friendly she even helped me pick out some colors. On both my visits I didn't have any trouble with getting an appointment in fact both times I went in I had same day appointments. Lyn did my nails both times and she did a great job ill defiantly be coming back again. I love this place, it was so moderate beautiful, They had beverages and snack for the customers, The owners goes around asking customers if they want anything to drink. Very good customer Service.The price is afordable. My nails are beautiful, the girl fixed the bad job acrylics that I had from somewhere else. There is music in the background which was so nice instead of the technitians talking to each other in a foreing language. Nail Polish might be my new favorite nail salon right now. The service was nice, very clean and very organized. I loved how the salon was very bedazzled and sparkly. I had done a light purple color and by the end of the day the color started changing to an orange yellow. So I called in the next day and spoke with the receptionist and told them what the situation was and they had no problem with changing my gel color. I went in today and had a new set of gel manicure. I LOVE this nail salon. I'm not from Glendale but was on vacation and thought I would get my nails and toes done. I was so impressed with how clean and friendly the staff was. The owner was so sweet and made sure everyone had refreshments and was getting the VIP treatments by the nail techs. My pedicure and gel manicure came out better than my normal place back home! When it comes to my nails, I expect nothing less than perfect. I've tried literally over 50+ nail salons around the Los Angeles area. I'm beyond picky to a very annoying level. I tried Rachel for a manicure and fell in love with her work. I don't write reviews until I'm absolutely positive about the service. I've tried out a few services and I am positive I love this salon! Their nailpolishs are all organized and new! They are so clean and all their tools are properly sanitized. The service is great and everybody is so nice. They take their time to properly remove your gel without peeling layers of your nail off. They use disposable covers for pedicures. Visiting from out of town so stopped in for first time to get a manicure ($15). First thing I noticed was very cute and feminine decor! Lady who assisted me took her time and did a great job! This is the first time I have gone to get my nails done and left the salon with my nails looking worse than they were prior to going in. My nails literally looked better before than after getting service here. I have acrylic nails and 3 days later my nails started lifting and separating. It is Ironic to me that this salon is called "nailpolish" yet when it came time to picking out a color they had a very hard time finding a match for my gel. The lady was going around the whole salon looking for something that matched. It took 15 minutes. Finally I decided to just settle with getting two completely different colors for my hands and feet. I wanted a new set ideally but the lady was too lazy to take off my old nails. So she convinced me to leave on my old ones kept saying "better better" the only reason I agreed is because I saw how long it was taking her to just file the gel color off my nails. I can only imagine how long it was going to take her to take off my set completely and put a new one. The best part of all is that I wasn't complaining to her much because I somewhat felt bad. She seemed frustrated as it is with the polish situation. While I was paying she felt the need to apologize saying "sorry for everything". It's like you know your customer is not happy and you don't blame them therefore your apologizing when in reality like I said I was not really complaining. even though they had asked her to wait a half hour on arriving for an appointment, my wife sort of liked this place when she went a while back - said it was slightly cleaner then the average nail salon. so i booked it five days in advance of her birthday on a saturday (5 days in advance, i re-state - with emphasis.) they wouldn't allow me to pay over the phone, so my wife would have to pay at point of purchase. not ideal, not customer friendly - but also not that big a deal. come saturday, my wife arrived for her appointment (paying attention? it was booked 5 days in advance...) and told they could only see her an hour later and would that be alright. this was the second time they'd done the same thing, so she said no, that would not be alright, that the appointment was booked (wait for it) 5 days in advance. "but we tried to call your husband to push your appointment back an hour" they whined/back-pedaled/justified/skirted responsibility. i checked my phone: they'd called me 21 minutes before the appointment time. my wife tells me they had decided to roll the dice and take a bunch of walk-ins, instead of honoring a listed appointment...) so what kind of business calls you to tell you they have to push back your appointment time a full hour, 21 MINUTES BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT? (please, i beg you: wait for it, once again...) answer: A BAD BUSINESS WITH PATHETIC CUSTOMER SERVICE! and a personal thanks to the nail salon (a place my wife will let her nails grow to werewolf length before ever going to again...) the appointment was a carefully planned way to get my wife out of the house so i could pull off a SURPRISE BIRTHDAY PARTY for her, and... your UTTER LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM killed the surprise party for my wife! I come here all the time. I love this place, I always get Lyn, she is familiar with all types of nails. Lyn can do silkwrap, acrylic, and anything else you might want. I'm actually surprised at the other reviews. The management is always friendly and always asks you if you want a drink the moment you sit down. I never have to wait for anyone to greet me the second I walk in someone immediately asks me what services I need. They have a great variety of nail polishes and cute decor along with trendy music and TV shows always playing. Not a place I'd recommend people to go to. I came here a few times but every time I've left being irritated. They do a good job on your nails (depends on who does it-either rachel or cindy) BUT their service is horrible. First of all, EVERYONE HAS AN ATTITUDE. They do my nails with such attitude as if they're doing it for free. Everyone in that salon needs to learn some manners and some customer service skills. Second of all, they don't know what an appointment is...they give appointment times very close to each other so you always have to wait another 20 minutes from your appointment time to get seated. This place is beautiful but with no customer service at all. My friend and I made appointments and we specifically told them we need two appointments together but when we got there no one available for 30 minutes to do our nails. When I asked the ladies how long it would take all three if them ignored me. I kept on asking and finally they said someone is coming to do your nails, when in reality no one was coming one of them was going to do my nails, but was busy and didn't want to say that. Then 10 min later my friend went to ask how long it would take and they ignored her as well. We were going to leave, but since my friend has paid as soon as she got there for me and her, we just stayed and waited. Finally when one of the ladies came to do my nails she did a horrible job. I could of done it better job myself. This is my second time trying this place, and I am never going back!! And I forgot to mention that while we are getting our manicures another customer walks in and waited for 15 min and then started complaining saying every time she comes here it's the same story. My regular nail salon that's miles away from my house was opening late this morning so I had no choice but to go to Nail Polish that's right next to my house. I receive gel manicures once a month. This older lady started working on my nails. she put atleast 10 layers of polish on my fingers and my skin which made me realize she had no idea what she was doing. I kept telling her to fix the polish since its on my skin and she would start cutting my skin of thinking it's my cuticle. after an hour of sitting down and getting layers of polish, I finally complained to the "manager" and she said to come back later and someone could fix it. so I returned in the afternoon and they soaked my fingers, polish came off and I waited for 45 mins to get my nails repolished. Many customers were walking in and getting their nails done while I was still waiting. I got so tired of waiting that I just walked out. this place is a joke. I will never return and will tell all my friends that were interested in gel manicures never to go here. read more

I would give 1 star but I've met the owner and she is a really sweet girl and appears to be hard working and cares for her business. Unfortunately my experience there today was horrible. Made an appt. a day in advance to take my 4 y/o and I for mani/pedi. The whole greeting and waiting for a chair was annoying, yet come to find out the it was the "office manager, secretary ?" First day, she turned out to be very nice and I think she was just not experienced enough, but we all start somewhere. What is frustrating me about is the actual manicurists, that's referring to them much more professionally then they deserve. They were so RUDE!!! Mainly the one who you could tell was ''in charge'' she had such a I don't give a shit attitude. They were super overbooked and we had one lady, who was sitting out eating her lunch after 5-10 min, the in charge lady said something, like oh there next, she looked so annoyed she had to give me and/or my cute daughter any service. Her demeanor was pretty much disgusting. Come to soon find out she was the only one who we had, both of us for manis/pedi's, and no one else was available for at lest another 30 min, yet more girls kept walking in the door? I had her start on my daughter and she was cold and rude with her, I asked for a towel and got up out of my cold water. Obviously I let my lil girl finish her $20 mani/pedi. But sad that I had such a bad time here and will definitely not waste one more minute of my time by returning here :( read more

I've been coming here for quite some time - watching the business' standards decline. The owner is absent and it's very apparent everywhere you look...no one cares about the customers. Certainly not the technicians. All they do is YAP, YAP, YAP, chatter, chatter and then YAP, YAP, YAP somemore, to eachother (in chinese I believe)...without any consideration to any of the customers. They chatter loudly, non stop - from the minute you walk in to the minute you walk out. The worst experience. Come back Lily your salon needs you. read more

New salon in Glendale. First off, the place seems very clean-- the most important thing in a nail salon. I really like that they use disposable plastic sheets in their spa tubs which they change after each person. The decor is nicer than most nail salons and all the employees seem really nice, particularly the receptionist. They use OPI nail polish which is stored in this great display that makes it easy to find the same color you liked from your previous visit. Pedicures are $20 and I think a mani/pedi is $30. So not the cheapest but definitely worth it for the extra steps they take in cleanliness. read more

So today 7/15/2011 i had an appointment at 9 am for a manicure, and i was a first time client and the last. The salon opened at 9:20 am, and the owner just opened the door and left, 2 more customers were waiting outside until the technician opened the front door. Very unprofessional leaving your business to your techs. Anyway finally i was seated and Lynn took care of me, she did a fairly good job and i left. There was management on the post, so i could not even comment on the place, but it is clean. Have still much to learn on how to make your customers feel welcome, will not be going back. If I could I would give nail polish a 2 1/2 stars not 3 worthy. I want to start off by saying that the receptionist is very nice and helpful. As far as customer service and the place being clean I have to say they are on the dollar. As far as their actual work I'm not too sure. I started coming to nail polish about a year ago because my friend recommended the place. I felt in love with the decor and the fact that all their tools seem to be sterilized. My first gels were perfect so I continued going. Not so long ago I went in for my gel manicure and when I got home I noticed I had air bubbles and the following day 2 nails chipped. I don't live far but I didn't have time to get them fixed. I decided to give them a second chance, this time I had no air bubbles but my nails got chipped within 3 days! I didn't mind paying $30 for a manicure if I'm going to be pleased with the end result but I don't see what's the point in paying that much if I could pay half and end up with the same crappy work as nail polish. read more

When I walked in, my nail tech was finishing up with her customer so I sat and waited. Then, a girl walked in who didn't have an appointment and the owner sat her down with the person I was supposed to have an appointment with! I was furious! When I approached her about it, she had the audacity to tell me that the girl just needed a polish change. I walked out and will never be back.
