Because of my work schedule I have a hard time scheduling appointments to get my mani pedi and have always done a great job at taking me as a walk in. I was a little skeptical since they've changed their name to Milano's nails but I am starting to like it. I normally have regular people to do my nails and since they have left I have to try somebody new. The nail technician I had yesterday was Monica. She seemed very quiet but only to talk to her co-workers and not to me which I found was unusual. Well to make a long story short she did an awesome job on my nails and she did them exactly as I liked. She also did my pedicure and very few people can work on my feet to the point where they can relax me so well that I could start nodding off. I am very pleased with the services and I enjoy the fact that I get texts if there is a special. I went in for a mani/pedi. Every time I get a mani, I have them trim my nails. This time they decided to charge 3.00. I have never paid to trim my nails. It was always part of the service. I am always paying over a hundred dollars for both services. So why the extra dollars for a trim that should be done every time you get your nails done. Time to find a new salon. read more

I ended up paying like 80 dollars more than what I wanted to simply cuz they didn't explain themselves! No to mention the lady was a bitch! I have been going to this nail salon for about 4 years. I don't get my nails done often but I like to get them done. I have had numerous pedicures here and each time has been a good experience. They offer two pedicures: regular and deluxe. The deluxe pedicure includes a leg massage and exfoliating treatment for the calf area of your legs. Afterwards, they put warm towels on your legs. It feels great. So worth the extra money. As for the nails, most days I get a manicure because I don't care for fake nails. I get acrylics put on about twice a year. For New Year's Eve I tried the gel tips. The guy who put them on remembered me from '08! I was impressed. I remember talking to him but didn't expect him to remember me. My nails always look nice regardless of who does them. I have yet to have a bad set. The only thing I cannot vouch for is their waxing. They offer eyebrow, upper lip, underarm, etc waxing but I have yet to get a wax here. My friend got her brows done and they did look good. I just can't speak from personal experience. Overall, I'd recommend this nail salon. They keep the place impecable clean and have always done a great job. read more

If I could rate a zero, I would. Terrible, rude service. They don't clean the bowls between customers. Even though they use the bags, there was still dead skin from previous person and they claimed it was parafin wax. So I give them benefit of the doubt and still hopeful for a nice relaxing pedi. The fill the bath with water again and didn't even bother to put the bath salts in. She cleaned my nails and scrubbed my feet, didn't even bother to ask which service I wanted until after. I asked for the deluxe. She gave me a purple scrub, rinsed, then applied lotion. Applied, not rubbed. Not massaged. She covered my legs and feet with towels, wiped off the lotion, painted my nails then sent me on my way. The deluxe pedi claims callus removal and lotion massage which was not done. Don't bother mentioning it to them because they are always right and say they have it on camera even though they didn't do what they said. read more

My gf has been coming here for years. The last two times she's been over charged. Even politely saying NO to the extra services they constantly push on you. They push push push the deluxe package and she says no, and they do it anyways and charge. She never gets the same price. The last time they did her nails wrong and she complained they took them off very roughly! They didn't even paint her whole toe nail, and they will say they don't like what color she picked. I was there started and my lady completely left, she went around asking if anyone wanted Starbucks so she could walk, note that's 2 miles away. I waited there for an 2 hours from 10a- 12p. I went ahead and said I was just gonna leave just charge me for the take off. The sign said $5 I heard the lady yell, "MAKE SURE TO CHARGE HER $10!!". My mom also went in there wanting a fresh set in a French tip, they told her "no they're too fresh, I'm doing a champagne color" they didn't give her the choice jut did what he wanted to do. I sat there for 30 minutes before I decide enough was enough. As I started to get my stuff together to leave another woman said, "We get to you now." That couldn't make me stay. My nails were so thick I kept telling the guy to shave them down then he was getting mad so he cut me twice, he did it on purpose because there was no reason to get so close to my cuticle... This is your typical nail station. My manicure and pedicure were pretty basic so no complaints there. The lady who did them was very slow, but did a good job. I just wish it hadn't taken so long. The main reason why I am only giving three stars is that they really need a deep cleaning & decluttering. The whole time I was getting my service done I was crossing my fingers that I wouldn't catch something because it's very apparent they are using the same nail file, scrubbers, etc on everyone. Nothing in this place looks hygienic. I almost laughed because they put a plastic bag in the water basin, but that's the least of their problems. I normally wouldn't have chanced but I'm visiting from out of town & this place was conveniently located and still open at the time of my need. Otherwise I would've gone out of my way a little for a place that had a better rating. Also, I may be a little more critical of things like this as a personal preference and so I think it's all a matter of perspective. read more

Terrible place!!! I was a walk in and lady told me to sit at one of the tables. She brought a bowl of nail polish remover and told me to put my nails in. About 30-40 minutes later someone finally came to see about me. My nails were a gooey mess. Maybe 20 minutes later someone finally started working on me. I would have rather had the lady tell me they didn't have time or just let me sit and wait until someone was available to do my manicure. They all yelled & talked loud to each other across the whole building in their native language. My nails are a big mess with polish on my fingers & my nails are not shaped at all. This place does do your nails good, but they are extremely pushy for you to get shellac or gel polish cause it's more expensive. They don't tell you how much it's going to be until the end unless you ask. I told them I didn't want shellac and the lady was really rude and kept saying "shellac better, you get shellac." And I told her I didn't have enough. And she persisted saying to get shellac. I felt uncomfortable. The environment is not all that also. If you have time to wait, this is your place. The customer service is poor but the work on your nails is pretty good. The loud speaking back in forth and over the customers in foreign language is rude and pretty disrespectful. It can't be that important if they all begin to laugh. And what are the customers to assume...that they are being talked about and laughed at. It's an ok place not great. I recommend Quarry nails at the Alamo Quarry off 281, now that place is a nail salon with alot of pampering, bottled water, soft drinks, wine and soft music. The waterfall is very soothing. I go to school in San Antonio and I have yet to find a decent place that does good nails. I thought I'd try this place because the reviews looked good for the most part. I originally called and was told the price for a new set was $25. When I got to the place the lady suddenly changed the price and says the price was now $35. I didn't feel like arguing so I just agreed. I got a full set with shellac. I'm honestly not impressed at all with my nails. I'm only giving them 2 stars just because I like the color. So not only am I unsatisfied but it took well over 2 hours just for a new set. While she was soaking my nails she proceeded to leave and eat while I waited for 35 minutes. The service was horrible and the wait was so long. They set me In a seat where I sat for almost 30 minutes. When she finally started on my nails, she was so preoccupied with everything and everyone else, that she kept stopping and walking away. She would come back and forget where she left off. Several times she wasn't paying attention to me and burned me on almost every finger with the drill. I had to ask twice to rebuff my nails because they were jagged and rough. I went to this salon for the first time because it is close to my house. Right away they sat me in a pedicure chair and began the whole process. The girl that waited on me was very nice, however I could barely understand her English. So there was difficulty in that aspect even from other employees as well. If you want to relax at a salon, do not go to this one. It was very loud. The employees were constantly yelling to each other in their native language from accross the store the entire time I was there. After a while I got a headache. They had a tv on, but with no volume. I was never offered a beverage, as it says on their menu. But the worse part was when I decided to also have a manicure done. A different young lady waited on me and tried over and over to convince me to let her put some type of product on my nails that would have cost me $25, but all I wanted was a simple $10 manicure. I repeatedly told her no and she became upset. She quickly did my manicure and yanked at my cuticles, which made them bleed. When I showed her this she became upset and started yelling that it was my skin and not her fault. I could have chosen to make a big fuss over it all, but instead I just left and didn't tip her.
