Hannah was super gentle with my nails, much appreciated and prices were mentioned pretty much up front.

Today was my 2nd time coming to the shop...on my first visit a couple weeks ago, I had a set of acrylic French tip nails put on and today's visit was to get a fill done on them to make them look great again. Danny is the name of the guy who did my set on the first visit and he did a really good job. He made me laugh the entire time I was there, telling me all sorts of funny stories and experiences he's had. He makes the client feel comfortable and at ease. Today, I had one of the girls doing my fills since Danny was busy with a client. This girl did a fantastic job and really took her time doing each finger, making sure she didn't miss anything along the way or leave junk on my nails. She filed them just right and made them look even better than when Danny did them on my first visit! The people in this salon are so friendly and treat everyone like family when they come through the door. Always smiling and happy! I didn't have to wait long at all on either of these visits and I had great customer service. I will gladly recommend their services to anyone I know in need of a good nail salon! read more

I walked into empty nail salon with friendly greeting instructing me to pick nail color and I would be helped right away. As I picked out my color I was pointed towards my pedicure bath that was nice blue color and waiting for me! As should as sat down, I was provided with copy of latest prices to choose my pedicure. I chose the Classic with option for callous removal b/c duh it's AZ and summer is near! Something I did not understand was the pay scale for the pedicure options. Classic and Deluxe pedicure have 25 buck difference with Deluxe higher . But they do give you option to add additional services to classic. I chose the Classic and very happy with my service. I also like their open on Sunday so you do not have to compete with crowds on Saturday. If in the area I would visit again. read more

The two ladies took great care of myself and my spouse getting a pedicure, we walked over here as our car was getting cleaned. They spent about an hour on our pedis. The salon is a little outdated, chairs aren't very comfortable and not a huge selection of polish colors. But these ladies worked very hard. We both went for the deluxe pedicures. My feet feel fabulous. Check them out for a great pedicure. But remember it's not super fancy. read more

I came here to get a pedicure and full set. Pedicure was good but the polish job was awful! Didn't even cover all my nail The full set is pretty straight forward. Having my cuticles cut twice ok I'll let it slide and get over it. What really inspired the 2 stars was the fact that the very next day my nails turned yellow. Come to find out they used the wrong acrylic. Not too coat which is more common and can be fixed with rubbing alcohol. I had to go somewhere else and get the acrylic taken off with the drill. Pretty stupid mistake to make from a professional nail salon. Out $30 for a job someone else had to fix. Won't be back read more

The best nail salon I have ever been to! There was no wait and all of the staff were very friendly They were easy to understand which can honestly be difficult at times when you visit a nail salon. The nail technician did my nails just how I wanted them and didn't try to charge me, "5 dollar extra" for everything. She listened to what I wanted and did it for me. My nails were drying a little bit after 7pm (their closing time on weekdays) and they didn't rush me out. My only complaint is that the salon looked a bit outdated and could use some visual updates and a UV light to dry my nails under so they I didn't have to sit in front of a little fan the whole time. read more

Both my mom and I come here for our mani/pedis. The staff is always friendly and will get to know you if you become a repeat customer. Getting my nails done is the one luxury I'm pretty consistent with and I've gone to a LOT of the nail salons in the valley. Besides the fact that Nail Lacquer is just moments from my house, I feel like I always leave there satisfied (and I can be picky about my nails!!) All of the nail techs take their time and ensure that you leave happy. They also just got a TON of new gel colors in which is great because I like to switch it up AND they are always down to try new designs and trends. Hot stones and a 10 minute massage are standard for their classic pedicures. Solid. Weekdays are the best times to go because it can get busy on the weekends. Stopped in while kids were at piano because I desperately needed a manicure. I opted for gel because I just don't have time to get weekly manicures. I have to say, this is the best gel manicure I've ever had. No bumps or bubbles. Color applied evenly and smooth. Perfect manicure. Customer service I thought could be better. I've now had my nails done three times by them now. All different people. 2 females, 1 male. First time they made my nails so thick and 2 came off within a week. Then the second time she made them thin and they painted like s**t. The 3rd time my nails were popping off for no reason. First nail popped off while I was putting my hair in a ponytail, my boyfriend watched me grab my water bottle and watched another nail pop off. I used to come here for manicures and pedicures with my sister a lot while I was in college. The staff is very nice and have a great sense of humor too! Recently a friend and I decided to take our BFs out for a surprise pedicure. Neither of them had ever had one before so it was their first experience. The pedicure included the usually cuticle clean up and nail shaping plus a pumice scrub, the longest calve and foot massage ever, a hot stone massage and nail polish for the ladies. This is the only place I've been to out here in AZ that has an affordable pedicure with the stone massage, it was only $20. I like that they have massage chairs and a big TV. The staff even talked sports with the boys which was hilarious because usually nail salon staff barely speaks English! They need to upgrade the decor but I will definitely return! read more

Was in major need of a manicure while on vacation. Found this salon through Yelp and decided to check it out. Got a basic manicure and eyebrow wax. They tech did a great job on my wax. She seemed to rush through the manicure and some places on my nail edges were missed. Not the end of the world but she could have put a little more effort into her job. Went back with my friend a couple days later for a pedicure. I loved it. I did not expect to get a hot stone leg massage and get massaged for as long as I did. In NY they usually charge extra for that. Very relaxing experience. Huge color selection and the staff is really friendly. My friend got her eyebrows done today as well and she really liked it. I went for a simple manicure on a Sunday and had just a short wait despite it being busy. The nail tech seemed distracted the whole time looking at who was coming in and not paying attention to her work. I went due to a coupon in the money mailer and once I showed that I could tell she was annoyed. The 2nd coat of polish went on uneven and when I asked her to correct a single nail that turned out really bad...she huffed and said "I haven't put the top coat on yet". Waste of $10. read more

I stumbled on this place a few months ago when I wanted to treat myself. LOVE IT. I get a mani/pedi for $30! Pedicure includes hot stone massage, warm lotion and a great leg massage. I've gone here a few times, never with an appointment and they always take me and get me to a massage chair to start my pedicure. The only thing that surprised me was when my boyfriend asked for the paraffin on his hands, the girl brought out 2 plastic bags with warm wax in them and told him to slip his hands in while she tied them around his wrists. This place does a great job! The prices are pretty low compared to other places in Tempe and Scottsdale that I used to go to. The staff is pretty quiet at first but if you go in regularly, then they get to know you and remember your name. Danny did my nails the last time and did a great job (though passed me off to a younger girl to do an intricate anchor design i wanted done. She did a great job). The only thing that I hate about this place is that I feel like I'm in a pepto bismal bottle. It's seriously 4 shades of the most hideous pink EVER and needs to be updated! I have been coming to this place off and on for 10 years. Over the last 5, service has gotten so bad that today was my last time I will ever go there. All polish is old, the stone massage was two dry warm rocks and the pedicure was the worst I have ever gotten! Having four females in the family I spent thousands of dollars at this establishment and tried to ignore the poor service. No longer. While I'm getting my pedicure today the owner sat reading her phone and ignoring my comments to the gentleman doing my pedicure about my dissatisfaction!! I left a tip but I should not have. I don't usually stray away from my normal salon but I just couldn't make it to my place so I decided to give Nail Lacquer the benefit of the doubt. Well, that backfired on me. Went in for a gel manicure. Nothing too crazy. Polish job was insanely horrible. There were polish on my fingers while the polish didn't even cover the entire nail. Cuticles barely cut. It seemed like the tech was in a rush and didn't even care that I was saying that I didn't like it. So the owner stated I would have to pay because of labor which is BS since it was a poor job. Let me put it this way, if you were to go to a clothing store and bought a shirt with a hole in it and wanted your money back, you would get it back. What's the difference here? You're paying for a service and if it isn't to your satisfaction, you shouldn't have to pay for it. You get what you pay for. So, I got a crappy manicure, I'm going to pay nothing for it. I decided to have them take it off and pay the $10 that it would be to take it off, that they have stated on their pricing sheet. At the end of it, they said it would be $20, then said $17 and then said $15 all for different reasons. So they have no idea what they are talking about and shouldn't even be in the nail business. State board will most definitely hear from me. Very rude staff. Do not go unless you want to waste your time for a terrible service. Definitely won't be back. read more

Do not come here if you need anything waxed. I went to get my eyebrows waxed and was specific about only wanting my brows cleaned up. I didn't want them shaped or trimmed- just a clean up. Very little taken off. I was clear when I told the lady doing the wax this and she nodded and said ok and made it clear to me that she understood. After she was done I looked in the mirror and was horrified. She waxed off more than half of the thickness of my eyebrows. I was pretty shocked and traumatized (eyebrows are a huge deal to me!!) and didn't really know what to say. I ended up saying "Wow, you took off way too much" and she flat out laughed. It is obvious the staff does not care about you or what you want. They do what's easiest for them. They just care about getting payed. They don't care about the customer. I will never be back here. This place is the absolute worst. Stopped in because it's literally right across street from home... and needed last minute gel manicure. There were three nail techs and two clients in pedi chairs and I was asked to come back in an hour. I returned in an hour and was asked to pick color and someone started on my nails right away, (I came in with no polish or gel on). I began to get annoyed at the one hour mark when she was still not finished with filing my nails.....30 minutes later still filing can't make this shit up. She did get up not once but twice for the bathroom and a snack without even saying anything to me about why she was getting up. I kept thinking about getting up and leaving but was trying to tell myself stay calm just never come back here.... at which point she asked me to stand and moved me to the one other person working who then asked me to pick a color. This was my breaking point I have already picked a color the girl who gave me a hour and a half manicure had it. I told new tech this and asked why is this taking so long the longest I have ever spent getting a gel manicure is a hour max, and usually with waiting to even start. He response was "sorry we slow here" yeah no shit, but don't worry because then she proceeded to refile and buff every nail the last lady spent 90 minutes doing. When I was finally finished I had been there for over two hours walked in at 11:30 left at 2:15 alll for a gel manicure when I have short nails which now hurt from the hour and a half of filing them. Love this place! Got my first gel manicure more than a month ago and it is still on with no bubbles or cracks! I will definitely be coming back again especially with the holidays around the corner. The staff is a little quiet but they warm up to you if you keep talking to them. I like to talk when I get my nails done though. BEWARE...I have used this salon for over a year now, have always liked it and agree with what the other posters have said. Unfortunately there is a man that works there who was HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE!!! During my pedi he spoke the entire time about himself in a very inappropriate manner- told me of his sexual exploits, used the F word to describe this is detail. He touched my leg in a way that he should not have, regardless of the fact that I was getting a pedi- there are boundaries.He would not stop talking or allow himself to be ignored. If I went about reading my mag, he would stop the pedi and stare at me until he had my attention again! He even made implications of "behaving badly"...but being afraid of getting caught- not sure if he was hitting on me or what. I felt pretty gross after this and will NEVER go back.
