I wear flip flops almost the entire summer and I have dare I say perfect feet. So because I like to maintain my perfect feet, I need to get a pedicure once or twice a year. I like coming to this salon because I can stop in check in on their do-hickey (for those that don't know what the do-hickey is, its the electronic sign in) and get seated pretty much right away. They have 8 chairs in the back of the business, all chairs are leather and have the massagers. Due to COVID19, they now have these see through plastic partitions up, so its like being in a box. The pedicure comes with hot water, a nice scrub on the feet to get rid of the sand paper feel to your bunions, hot rocks, a nice massage to your knees and of course they take care of your toes. I always get clear coat polish on the toes, I'm brave enough to get the pedi just not brave enough to put color on the nails. Hey fellas, take care of your feet. read more

Woman was unfriendly. She did my almond shaped acrylics sloppy and didn't do under my nails. The paint job was inefficient.

I only go to get hygiene maintenance, which means cleaning up the nails, cuticles, and calluses. Is this a lost art? She barely touched me with the tools. Completely missed the excessive buildup on my small toe which makes it look like my nail is bigger than it is. I tried multiple times to explain that I have calluses on the tops of a few of my toes and I would like them removed. She had to ask someone else to translate and she still didn't understand. She only lightly brushed the middle of each toe twice. I even showed her how I could peel the skin by scratching it, and she just lightly brushed it again, not even on the part I was showing her. My nails are jagged and sharp, and most definitely not round. She didn't clean under my nails, and I still have most of the hangnails that I came in with. I'm used to most of the people not understanding English, but there was absolutely no one attempting to translate even though I could tell some of them spoke passible English. I have been going here for years. I have noticed the quality going down. However, today was my last time. Not one person spoke English. Not enough to even understand them or communicate. I am leaving for vacation and was very excited to get a manicure and shellac manicure. I was given a hard time about the color I picked for my pedicure. They did not understand what I wanted and I settled for a color just to be done. Moving on to my shellac manicure; I picked out a color but when the bottle was brought to me it did not match even closely. I picked another color. The same thing. I got basically an eye roll. I picked out a third. Same thing. I explained that these are not matching at all to the sample. I tried a fourth. I could tell she was speaking to another manicurist about the situation. I was told by that manicurist in very broken English the manufacturer does not make it 100% the same color. I said it should come within 10%. Clearly I was frustrated. While I looked for a sixth color my manicures went to go do a pedicure. I went to her and motioned to come back. She waited a little bit then came back. She was very frustrated with me. I told her I will pay for the pedicure and will not come back. I should have left without paying for anything. I even tipped her . I paid $40 for a pedicure that I will have to redo when I get home. I am apologetic for the length of this review. There is a reason their stars are so low. read more

Wanted to love the experience. But I'm on day 6 of a shellac manicure and the edges are beginning to peel on more than one hand. The french polish job was executed beautifully on my fingers, but my toes look rough. I keep my toe nails short, as a dancer my whole life they've needed to be short, and when they get too long, they get ingrown ... 6 days in, I'm trying to fight ingrowns while trying not to ruin my 70 dollar mani / pedi. Nail polish job far better than toes, but the shellac is mediocre at best. I won't return to this location. read more

Worst pedi and shellac mani I've ever received! And I've been to many many other salons all over royal oak area and use to go to JNS nails (but both ladies that I loved no longer work there). To start I told the ladies I'm getting married in 2 days and really want my nails to look nice for photos...did not listen at all or just don't care since this place just gets regular business or what?! 1) English for many of them is awful and I don't mind that but when you don't understand that I don't want you to cut my big toe nail, but cut rest, that's an issue 2) literally a 30 second stone massage 3) not detailed at all with feet 4) cut side of my big toe being so rough with the pumice...and my feet aren't sensitive At that point I asked for someone else to paint & do manicure. Note: this is the lady that answers the phone & sit in front to right so I'm pretty sure she is manager. 5) didn't ask one question just started filing down I about died because I grew my nails out a tad for wedding (I usually keep mine shorter) 6) slopping uneven lengths and asked to fix a few times but finally gave up 7) thickest, sloppiest shellac ever! Sides of shellac over spilling on my nails, goobs under my nails, looked like I had square fake nails she put it on so thick on ends 8) didn't even polish them near the cuticle so usually I can go solid 14 days but I will need to get redone in 1 wk because my cuticles/nail will have zero polish near them Plus this place is dumpy & not clean inside. The worst pedi and acrylic fill. My feet don't even look like I got a pedi. I had a broken nail that was replaced but is crooked and longer than all my other nails. Even told her it look longer and she gave it a half ass file. Asked if i wanted a cut down on my nails I said no just a little filing and they charged me for a cut down. She kept filing my skin. They upped all their prizes but their service is worse than ever. Got glitter on 2 nails and they charged me $2 per color. I will never go back or ever recommend them. read more

This is absolutely unacceptable. I went to go get a shellac manicure, pedicure and eyebrow wax. I've been to this nail salon multiple times but this was my first time with this employee. She is at seat 7 right behind the cash register. My nails are bleeding. My cuticles are all gouged. The bottom of my feet have open sores from the pumice stone. I have been coming here for over 3 years I have only had 1 problem before this in 3 years (and they fixed that problem without a problem and was very nice about it) I always get gel white tip and I always ask them to make them thick because if I don't get them thick then #1 they break off with in 1 or 2 days and it last longer if they are thick. and I like my nails that way. So the other day I went here to get my nails done for a wedding and my eyebrows, Now because I'm going to a wedding this time I was going to do the gel and white tip but with a sparkle line right under the white tip. So she put the white tips on I asked her can you please make them thick she then said " no they won't be pretty then" I said I always get them thick and they always look great she then says "no thicker is not pretty" then the lady argued with me so many times to the point even the lady next to me was getting irritated and said she asked you nicely if you could make them thicker it's her nails not your nails. The lady doing my nails then said " I do not do thick, thick is not pretty" Then she started adding black lines on my nails i said wait please stop I don't want black on them just the sparkle Silver line under the white tip and she kept going so I said 3 more times I don't want black on them she just kept going and totally ignoring me, So at this point I'm pissed off to no end! She has ignored everything I've said and have asked, she has had nothing but attitude with me this whole time and has argued with me this whole time pretty much. And I needed my eyebrows done but at this point I didn't want her doing them ( because obviously she can't be trusted to do with what I ask) so I asked if someone else could do them she said yes go over there 20 minutes later the same lady comes over there to do my eyebrows I said again can someone else please do them she ignored me again and next thing I know I felt like I was getting burned by the wax ( this is not the 1st time I have gotten my eyebrows waxed) I said that is way to hot she made a rude sound and did nothing about it being to hot ( the lady that's done my eyebrows in the past who has always down amazing Job blows on the wax before putting it on me) this lady did NOT do that! she didn't use cotton to wipe over my eyebrows with the powered. now until this point I have I tried so hard to be nice but at the same time let her know that I was not happy with the job she has done on anything, but now all around my eyebrows feel like I've been hurt and I'm pissed off and I said to her you burned me I told you it was to hot, she then said to me how much I owe her and I was blown away because the lady that did everything ignored me after telling her it was to hot then ignored me when I told her she burned me and then tells me how much I owe her I was like seriously there was not 1 time she said I'm sorry not 1 time did she ask if I was ok nothing told me the bill came to $75 and I was thinking to myself why is my bill $75 and are you kidding me right now that what I was thinking, so I asked her to write down everything I was being charged for she came back with a small piece of paper with nothing that I was able to read because of her writing, so I walked over to tia and showed her the paper and told tia I was definitely not happy with everything that has just happened tia said I can take off $10 that is it. I was still not ok with that because #1 there's not one thing this lady did that was done right on my nails and my eyebrows are messed up I got burned and I got charged way more then I was told it would cost. they said nails would be $35 and $8 for my eyebrows so that's $43! NOT $75 tia did take $10 off but seriously I'm very upset! So I called yesterday and asked tia if she could fix my nails I ended up talking to 3 different people and put on hold for 26 minutes for them to tell me they don't work for free they will not fix my nails because they don't have time so I then asked could I get my money back then so I can go someplace else to get them fixed before I have to leave town to go to this wedding SHE THEN YELLS and says I will not give you a refund we don't work for free she then said the lady was working on your nails for 30 minutes and you didn't even give her a tip. I said are you joking right now? No I didn't tip the lady not after the horrible job she did not after getting burned not after her arguing with me over and over again. Then I was told to come back in 2 weeks for a fill. I'M NOT COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE! And I have talked to my friends that where going here and they won't be coming back either, THIS PLACE HAS NOT JUST LOST 1 customer but they have LOST 9 customers. So, the woman I had took her time on my feet and she did a pretty nice job although she did way to many coats of polish and so by the time I got home the polish had came off two of my toes. I waited about an hour and wished they had told me there would be a wait so I could have come back but they told me to go back and sit down in the spa chair like it would be soon. The biggest reason I will not go back is because they do NOT follow state board regulations, I contemplated leaving but I was hoping for the best. I have come here multiple times for pedicure. It is steadily getting worse. My polish has chipped/smudged after less than 24 hours, and that is after drying for over 20 minutes in the salon. I am pretty sure it is due to the salon thinning the polish with acetone. After multiple times with this happening, I went back in to it fixed. They were very rude and told me that I didn't let it dry long enough and it was my fault. I will be talking my business elsewhere and not dealing with their rude attitudes!! read more

They always have a lot of nail techs working which is awesome! You can walk right in without having to wait usually. My pedicure was amazing! I was not rushed, even with it being busy. I love when I don't feel like I am being rushed because I feel like I am getting what I pay for. They have a huge color selection for gel polish and regular polish (I only got regular polish this time). They also having matching polish for the gel so you can get either or.
