I love getting my hair done here. Kinda interesting to read the last comment, because they contradict their own statements. They love their stylist and the work on their hair, yet they hate having to wait and have their time wasted - but when the stylist has someone else wash/dry their hair, they are angry? Hmmm... maybe this person is just having a rough week because this was their first ever Yelp! review. I guess I can only speak for myself, and this is how it goes: I PREFER someone else, especially the apprentices to wash/dry my hair. Any high end salon would have someone else doing this besides the stylist. Why? Well... for one, the apprentices take more time to do it, and they make it a part of your experience. It's my favorite party, and I don't like rushing it! Two: you're paying for your stylist to listen to you and cut/color/style your hair. If you love your stylist and your hair... then you have what you paid for - which is a job well done. I always love my hair when it's finished. If I could afford to go more often, I would! I drive far just to go to this specific place, because I love what my stylist does. I wouldn't go anywhere else. In fact, I have gone to other places because I thought I could pay less, or because I was in a pinch, and I ended up hating my hair and regretting that I just didn't go to Peaches. I was excited to give this place a try, looking forward to something closer to home and my birthday is coming up so I thought I would give myself a different look. Got in right away so was happy about that. The stylist took me to a chair and asked what I wanted done. I said, I can't wait to get my roots done, it's been too long, apologized that my hair was dirty, and showed her a picture on my phone of what I wanted. I then said I also feel my dark is getting lighter than my actual hair so I'd like the dark a bit darker to match and some lights. She asked if I want it lighter around my face and asked if I'd like the color to my root in which I said yes to both and I would like a trim and layers around my face. She said she would get me a quote and walked away and came back and said $365. My hair is just past my shoulders and so I asked if that included a haircut. She said no. She said it's two colors so it's two bowls. $150 for the first and $85 for the second. I must have given her a strange look because she said let me go check with my manager. She walked away and came back and said she added wrong and gave me the quote of 265. I asked how much a hair cut would be and she said $85. I figured my birthday is coming up, let's do it and see if this will be my new salon I go to. She puts the color on and the foil is all around my face. I ask how long she had been working in the salon and she said one month. I ask her what just the root would cost figuring if I like her, once this grows out a little, I would come back in just to get the roots done. She said $85. A manager came over and said, You are getting some dark put in? I said, Yes making my dark darker and my light lighter, getting refreshed. She asked if I was getting a trim and I said yes just a trim. I was put under the heater and then taken back to get my hair washed. She then put a toner on and was massaging it into the top of my head for quite some time. She asked what color blond I wanted. I thought that was weird as I thought she was done with the color...was that the dark and she is taking me back to do the light I wondered. I said the same as the picture. She put the towel on my head and said I could go back to the chair. I held the towel on my head until I sat down and took it off. I was shocked to look in the mirror as the inch / inch and a half of white that grew in was still all the way around my face. She came back and asked what side do I part my hair. I looked at her shocked and asked, Are you done with my color? She said yes. I asked why nothing was done with my roots and she said that's a separate procedure that I didn't ask for. I said that's the main reason I came in here. She said, Want me to just blow it dry so I said ok and she blew it dry. Every salon I've ever been to does the highlights and low lights in foil and the touches up the roots and rest of the hair out of the foil with the base color. She questioned, Other than your roots how do you like it? I was baffled and couldn't even see anything other than the white left around my face so she said, I'll get my manager. I walk up to the desk and the manager and stylist come to the desk and don't say anything, they both just looked at me awkwardly. I said, Obviously there was a miscommunication. I asked who would come in and get their highlights and low lights done and get their white roots around their face not done. The manager said she just had someone come in today actually requesting that. I said to her if it was dark roots still, I could see that but not white around my face. I now still have to get my hair done, it doesn't look like my hair was done with all my white roots not even touched. The manager said, I can see that's not what you wanted. Well she could take you back and do your roots but we still would have to charge you $85. I was meeting friends for dinner and did not have the time. I had to go buy some powder root touch up after leaving a salon after almost paying $300 to get my hair done. How does that make sense? You would think the stylist doing my hair, seeing how bad the roots looked would clarify that I want nothing done with the roots. I was hopeful going in but still can't comprehend that a professional stylist would think anyone would want blond and dark brown highlights and low lights all done and keep the white growth so it doesn't look like your hair has been done. So disappointed. read more

My bill for an eyebrow wax was $15, I presented my debit card, and was asked to sign the receipt, I then noticed that I was being charged $18 , when I asked about that she said there is a $3.00 fee for any credit or debit card transaction . I was never told about a $3.00 charge! When I inquired about it she pointed to a sign which was among many, that did state that there was a $3.00 fee if using a credit or a debit card. This fee is absolutely ridiculous, and the fact that she did not state that there would be an additional fee by using my debit card is absolutely wrong. I had cash with me . I feel that this salon I think is sneaky and disingenuous . read more

I couldn't be more impressed with this salon! The staff who i've met so far are extremely talented hairdressers, and as friendly as can be. The prices are reasonable, especially since the outcome is worth every cent. I was greeted with smiling faces, offered something to drink, and walked into a clean, organized, and stylish salon. Very impressed with this place. I had gone months without getting a haircut because I was afraid of someone butchering my hair. After reading the few reviews of this place, I finally decided my hair had reached the point of needing major help so, I called in an appointment for myself and daughter. From the time I made the appointment until I walked out of the salon, everyone was very professional and kind. It was super busy but we both enjoyed the undivided attention we received. We love our haircuts and love the fact that we weren't harassed into getting our curly hair straightened, which is the case every time we go to a salon. Very attentive and fun staff. i like my cut but i am sick of my stylist double booking my appt every time i go! shes working on another customer's hair and this adds a lot of time onto my appt! she didn't get to me until 30 minutes after my appt, what is this a doctors office? not acceptable. to top it off while she's blowing out/styling the client sitting next to me, she has her trainee wash and blow dry me without even asking if i'm ok with that?! then she cuts me for a whole 10 minutes. for the Big $ that this salon charges i should not have to share my time with another customer (and vice versa). too bad cause i do like her, been going there for years and she starting doing this for the past year & half. bad business. you need to treat your old clients same as the new.
