Of course I don't judge by one review (Google shows she has a 5 star rating btw!) or a few. I feel like I need to definitely give her all the stars she deserves for YELP as well. Let me tell you. Lauryn is informative, very knowledgeable, considerate, and works with your comfort level. I have a high pain tolerance but had to take a break from sugaring so when people make me feel pain, there is a problem. She took VERY good care of me. Especially because I am pregnant which is a PLUS. She made sure that I could tolerate it like I could before my pregnancy and she made it a breeze. Her suite was intimate and filled with calming music. Let's not forget how clean and calming the colors were in there. Everyone was friendly when I arrived. I was led back to a private pedicure room almost immediately and treated to a spa pedicure with warm scented water, soft warm towels soothing my feet and legs and pleasant conversation with a lovely lady! The owner checked in on us, asked it if I would like a water and if the towels were soft and holding the heat ok. I felt pampered. I chose a bright neon red and a week and a half later... they look as good as day one. They are more expensive than a nail shop, but I don't go often and wanted the experience. Luckily, I have Venmo bc they couldn't put a tip on my credit card and all I had was a $5. I'd definitely recommend them & will return!

I have little short nails and he didn't get dip all over my skin like most people have done. I have tried multiple nail salons in Macomb county and I never go back because it turns out to be very expensive and a waste of money But not this time. The salon was clean with calming music . Hmmm... maybe this person is just having a rough week because this was their first ever Yelp! review. I guess I can only speak for myself, and this is how it goes: I PREFER someone else, especially the apprentices to wash/dry my hair. Any high end salon would have someone else doing this besides the stylist. Why? Well... for one, the apprentices take more time to do it, and they make it a part of your experience. It's my favorite party, and I don't like rushing it! Two: you're paying for your stylist to listen to you and cut/color/style your hair. If you love your stylist and your hair... then you have what you paid for - which is a job well done. I always love my hair when it's finished. If I could afford to go more often, I would! I drive far just to go to this specific place, because I love what my stylist does. I wouldn't go anywhere else. In fact, I have gone to other places because I thought I could pay less, or because I was in a pinch, and I ended up hating my hair and regretting that I just didn't go to Peaches.
