I had a very disturbing experience at this nail salon. I asked for a specific color, but the technician applied a different one without confirming with me. When I said I didn't like it and wanted to change it, she called me "picky" and refused to continue my service. The situation escalated quickly. Multiple staff members approached me in an aggressive and unprofessional way, which made me feel very uncomfortable. I decided to leave. She starts calling my f*king bit*h front of other customers What shocked me the most is that one of the staff followed me outside and started recording me on her phone all the way to my car without my consent. This is a serious violation of privacy and completely unacceptable behavior. I felt unsafe and disrespected. I strongly do NOT recommend this place. Customers deserve basic respect and safety, and unfortunately this salon provides neither. read more

So I didn't have a terrible experience at all. The salon was super clean and nice and so were all the nail techs. A gentleman towards the front did my fill. My complaint is that he was a little messy when doing the nails, getting polish on my cuticles, which I cleaned up when I got home. He also didn't get the polish over all the acrylic he applied so I had some exposed acrylic towards my nail beds. I waited the 2 weeks to post my review so I could see how they wore and the edges are lifting. This salon however, is the cheapest place I've paid for a fill, at only $35. I usually pay about $60. The pictures attached were right from after my fill. It definitely would be fine if I didn't already have a very talented nail tech (who was busy when I came to this salon as a walk in) who spoils me with beautiful nails. read more

i took me and my sister here for 2 full sets with shallac, we were waiting there for an hour even though they said 30 minutes. our nails came out absolutely terrible and not to mention the prices were insane our total came out to 180. ONE DAY after we got them done, my sisters nail started lifting and eventually fell off. we went back that same day to get it fixed for free and had us wait for 20 minutes even though on the phone they said no wait. I love Nicky's Nails, and have been going to this location for over 10 years. Even when I lived out of state, whenever I came to town, I made sure I stopped in. They have transitioned owners a couple of times, but I always find one nail tech that I like and stick with them. My current nail tech is Diane and she is the sweetest lady! She takes her time doing my nails each time and frequently checks to make sure I am satisfied. I also appreciate that the prices have remained consistent. As far as scheduling, so many people from the local area get their nails done here, so be mindful that you should make an appointment! I usually call about a week ahead of time because I only like to get my nails done by Diane. As far as pedicures, everyone is pretty good and the stations are clean! Jesse has been there since I can remember, so I'd recommend him for pedis. My only tip is to not get your full sets or fill-ins done by one of the employees, the older gentleman toward the back, because he is very sweet and funny, but not good at acrylic nails. I think he specializes in regular manicures, but does acrylics if needed. I gave him a try one time for a full set and decided to stick with Diane. She is great, but I'm not sure if any of the other techs do full sets/fills besides those two. I think that is why people have been having a hard time with walk ins, but rest assured that I just went last weekend and it looks like they hired new nail techs! Give them a try! read more

I usually go here when I can do I am a walk in and most times I get the same elderly lady whom is very nice but she has literally made my nails so weak! she can't stop using the file!!! she can never paint your nails without using the brush and acetone to correct many mistakes and last time I went I had noticed a fungus on one of my nails!! never in all my years have I ever seen this. don't like to complain but this is the worst. needless to say I will never return!!!!!! bad business read more

I saw so many great reviews of this place so I decided to go. Unfortunately, I have nothing to report but a horrible experience. I went in for a mani and pedi. The pedi I let her finish even though she didn't cover my entire toenails and there is paint all over my skin. It's my feet so I figured no one will pay much attention. I paid and gave her a large tip hoping that my nails would look better, I was completely wrong!!!! She hardly removed my cuticles. Nail polish was painted on horribly! I asked her to just remove the polish and put clear on. This is the end result of my left hand. She didn't even remove all of the polish. Taking a closer look at my toes, I'll have to cut my cuticles myself as she did a poor job at that as well. Maybe the woman was having a bad day or maybe she was new? Who knows? Now I'm sitting here at home soaking my feet so I can do it all over myself. I left 2 stars because the best experience of this was the massage chair, I needed it. read more

They simply received a 1 star rating from me because there is no lesser option than that. I have been going to Nicky's sporadically for the past 7 months and every other time they claim to be busy when they are not at all. I didn't pay any mind to it until I walked in and requested a full set she asked did i have an appointment i told her no so she told me that they were booked and to try another time. I waited before walking out the second time and a lady requested a manicure AND pedicure. She asked her the same and the woman ALSO had NO appointment, she told her to pick a color and to sit. The crazy thing is that this is not the first time something like this has happened to me here. I hate to "play the race card", but this is what it seems like. Very unsatisfactory. I've been going here for years. Clean, comfortable, and wonderful results. They have a great deal for mani pedis, but offer many other services. I've taken friends and family and we've never had a bad experience. Comfortable massage chairs too! It's usually busy but they seem to be able to always squeeze in "walk ins". One star is generous. I just walked in to get a pedicure with my husband. It's a Saturday and the place was empty. When I said we wanted to get two pedicures the employee looked at me and just said no. I was like no as in never? Like she didn't say it'll be a wait or anything. Just no. I've never walked into a nail salon and experienced that. When I questioned her about just saying no she was like ok well you wait. By that time there was no way I was about to give them my money. First and absolutely the last visit. A man started doing my nails. They were oddly shaped, bumpy, and uneven. They were cracked on the sides and jagged because he filed them too much giving them an awful narrow appearance. Another woman tried to shape them. A second woman ended up trying to fix the disaster. By the time she was done with my nails, they were visibly rigid and the surface uneven. She buffed the acrylic so much that it began to wear and thin. My thumb was bleeding. On to the polish job. Absolutely sloppy. They just did not care and I will never return. read more

Jen , the owner of Nicky's Nails is very rude. Not only that, but I was told a price of $25.00 for just a manicure, even though I was not having a pedicure too. Which in that case , it would've been $30.00 for both. I then get to the register and the price suddenly went to $30.00 for just a manicure!! Terrible place! They also, re-use their nail polish remover and don't use proper disinfectants. This is obviously why I got a fungus after going there! Disgusting! read more
