This place is unreal! I called and asked for an appt. I came in 1 hr later. I checked in and the girl took 2 hours on my nails. Then I get ready to pay and was charged $60. I had a 15% off discount. Then I was told $55 including the discount. That isn't 15% off. I shook it off and pulled out my credit card. The owner then told me the credit card machine was down to use the ATM. I was changed a total of $8 in fees. There was a little sticky note on the other side of the iPad to check in at. I didn't see the sticky note nor was I told when I called that the credit card machine was down. Awful customer service! The owner, whom is very arrogant wanted to argue and told me to go somewhere else! I did find that humorous. I guess I paid $70 for a good chuckle!

Went with my sister to remove full acrylic set and do shellac on our own nails. They cut my nails way to far at a point one of them was bleeding. I asked for square ended up with short oval nail and not clean entirely u can still see the glue left from the previous set. I asked to not continue further. My sister was charged 50$ for removing ac set + new shellac. And i was charged 35$ for nothing. Save ur $ go somewhere else!

I used to come here years ago, sadly I will not come back. First, I got a mani pedi, and they did it at the same time!!! I had to reach both of my hands over my body while sitting in the pedicure chair. It was not relaxing, actually hurt my shoulders at one point, and I didn't get the option to use the massage feature. I was so upset. Second, I have NEVER left a nail salon with polish on my actual skin. I paid $100 for a mani pedi, no cuticles were done, I was picking at my nails because the shellac top coat was not filed down. Overall, I was very unhappy with how my nails looked, felt, and I left with a shoulder ache. there was no wait, and unfortunately I understand why. If this is your last option, do not go, wait until another salon opens. It really isn't worth it.

Would give zero stars if I could. I asked for ALMOND shaped acrylic nails and this is what I received. Round and chunky. I left without saying anything because I was nervous to. When I went back in a few minutes later and asked for them to be fixed, the man that did my nails (maybe the manager?) told me that he can't do anything and they have to look like this because I have no nail beds. Never in my life have I heard such a thing. These were supposed to be my birthday nails and now I have to figure out how to get them fixed.

My cuticles looked worse after leaving, NOT CLEAN, and I wasn't sure if the person doing my nails had ever done nails before. Nails felt very dirty after leaving. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Two stars only because my nail tech was a nice person. The place was dirty, I got a shellac mani and the bulbs in the curing lamp were so old it wouldn't cure the shellac and he ended up putting a total of 7 coats of polish on my nails. I told him to leave it because I didn't have time to sit there all day and he insisted on "fixing it". Well, the picture shows you what I paid for. Dull, thick and bloody nails. I shouldn't have, but I'm too nice unfortunately.

    Doesn't match webpage

Prices on the webpage didn't match their board. They didn't immediately attend to my little niece and took random walk ins before her and we had an appointment. I'm guessing because she is a child and the kid manicure is $15-but who is to say. They tried to charge me $10 more than the webpage and full adult price for my 10 year old niece-princess manicure is $15. They told me to put my shoes on, and when I got home they were all ruined. Don't go here. I go to jadore across the street, I've had great experiences there. My nieces nails look nice, I would never come here for another pedicure though. Very disappointed.

This place is dirty and smells like sulfur and eggs. They have a water/pipe problem and you can smell it bad behind pedicure chairs. It's been like that since March. I went back in July for a pedicure with my mom hoping the problem was gone, nope. The water in the pedi chair was dirty even with a bag because they use a water pitcher to fill it up. I only noticed it was actually dirty half way through my pedicure when hot pink nail polish chip was floating in the water- I did not come in with hot pink toe polish. I got a light pastel blue on my toes and they asked if I wanted my hands done too. I said yes and I just wanted the same color to match my toes on my hands. The guy did them while I was in the chair and he had already dipped 3 nails when I saw this ugly color. Halfway through, I quietly told the man please stop doing my nails and I need to leave. He started yelling in a different language and all the employees came running over making a big scene. I politely said I just need to leave and I'd like to just pay for what was done and go, they refused and did the rest of my nails and charged me $45 for this manicure.

Didn't even bother to clean up around the nails

Got in right away so was happy about that. The stylist took me to a chair and asked what I wanted done. I said, I can't wait to get my roots done, it's been too long, apologized that my hair was dirty, and showed her a picture on my phone of what I wanted. I then said I also feel my dark is getting lighter than my actual hair so I'd like the dark a bit darker to match and some lights. She asked if I want it lighter around my face and asked if I'd like the color to my root in which I said yes to both and I would like a trim and layers around my face. She said she would get me a quote and walked away and came back and said $365. My hair is just past my shoulders and so I asked if that included a haircut. She said no. She said it's two colors so it's two bowls. $150 for the first and $85 for the second. I must have given her a strange look because she said let me go check with my manager. She walked away and came back and said she added wrong and gave me the quote of 265. I asked how much a hair cut would be and she said $85. I figured my birthday is coming up, let's do it and see if this will be my new salon I go to. She puts the color on and the foil is all around my face. I ask how long she had been working in the salon and she said one month. I ask her what just the root would cost figuring if I like her, once this grows out a little, I would come back in just to get the roots done. She said $85. A manager came over and said, You are getting some dark put in? I said, Yes making my dark darker and my light lighter, getting refreshed. She asked if I was getting a trim and I said yes just a trim. I was put under the heater and then taken back to get my hair washed. She then put a toner on and was massaging it into the top of my head for quite some time. She asked what color blond I wanted. I thought that was weird as I thought she was done with the color...was that the dark and she is taking me back to do the light I wondered. I said the same as the picture. She put the towel on my head and said I could go back to the chair. I held the towel on my head until I sat down and took it off. I was shocked to look in the mirror as the inch / inch and a half of white that grew in was still all the way around my face. She came back and asked what side do I part my hair. I looked at her shocked and asked, Are you done with my color? She said yes. I asked why nothing was done with my roots and she said that's a separate procedure that I didn't ask for. I said that's the main reason I came in here. She said, Want me to just blow it dry so I said ok and she blew it dry. Every salon I've ever been to does the highlights and low lights in foil and the touches up the roots and rest of the hair out of the foil with the base color. She questioned, Other than your roots how do you like it? I was baffled and couldn't even see anything other than the white left around my face so she said, I'll get my manager. I walk up to the desk and the manager and stylist come to the desk and don't say anything, they both just looked at me awkwardly. I said, Obviously there was a miscommunication. I asked who would come in and get their highlights and low lights done and get their white roots around their face not done. The manager said she just had someone come in today actually requesting that. I said to her if it was dark roots still, I could see that but not white around my face. I now still have to get my hair done, it doesn't look like my hair was done with all my white roots not even touched. The manager said, I can see that's not what you wanted. Well she could take you back and do your roots but we still would have to charge you $85. I was meeting friends for dinner and did not have the time. I had to go buy some powder root touch up after leaving a salon after almost paying $300 to get my hair done. How does that make sense? You would think the stylist doing my hair, seeing how bad the roots looked would clarify that I want nothing done with the roots. I was hopeful going in but still can't comprehend that a professional stylist would think anyone would want blond and dark brown highlights and low lights all done and keep the white growth so it doesn't look like your hair has been done. So disappointed.

Always looking for my go to eyebrow spot. And I think I found it!…read more Booking online was super easy and simple. I have always wanted to know what was inside that building/house especially with that gorgeous curved front door. Passed it so many times on University. Parking was easy and nice to have designated parking spots for Bare Philosophy. Walked in and had no idea that you had to take your shoes off. I get for cleanliness sake and winter bringing water/salt, but I wasn't expecting it. I walked in and noticed another patron standing inside with her socks on so I followed suit. I didn't notice behind me that they provide slides to wear after you take off your shoes. There was no staff downstairs so no one to greet me or give instructions. There was a sign that said they were short staffed and to help yourself. It was the day before Christmas Eve. Really pretty inside and welcoming. Lots of areas to look at product. There was a coffee machine. Old historical charm throughout! The other client got brought back and I just was standing around. I finally heard someone in the foyer area and was checked in at that point and brought back to a large room for my eyebrow appointment. We spoke a bit about eyebrow shape and how she likes to keep things natural/follow your natural shape. Can always take off more later if I wanted. I think my eye wax was all of five minutes. Trimming, a few strips of waxing, and then tweezing and that's it. Let me have a look in the mirror and I was happy for the most part. I should've asked to trim my eyebrows a little more. But overall content with the shape. I wish there was something to put on my skin afterwards to calm it down since I get red easily. Again, the whole process was super quick, didn't feel overly personalized with an eye brow shaping/waxing but the job got done. The staff who did my brows was very nice and we made conversation throughout my service. I felt comfortable and no pain with the waxing/tweezing. Afterwards, she checked me out and you can give a tip on a card. $20 is a fair price for an eyebrow wax, what I was paying for at another place in the area.

Those red splotches after waxes that I thought were just part of getting waxed? Nonexistent with Katie. Also as a gal who has always struggled with intense ingrown hairs, ones that doctors told me could only be fixed with laser, I was stunned when Katie took the time to get all of them out and coached me on how to prevent them in the future, truly above and beyond! She's is the most thorough esthetician I've ever been to, and she creates such a warm and welcoming environment that I am actually looking forward to my next wax!

I tried LASER hair removal, however, my hair is fairly light. It's mostly blonde, and no one explained that LASER doesn't work on light hair. So after spending thousands on LASER, I went back to shaving. But I never felt that I got as smooth as I would have liked. We had a special get away planned, so I thought I would go ahead and get a Brazilian wax. To start, the salon is located conveniently at Partridge Creek. I frequent PC so that was appealing to me. The salon is very clean and feels upscale. There are two receptionists who are very bubbly and helpful. Your first wax is free. If it is a Brazilian, it's half off. I went here the first time pre COVID. You go back with the wax specialist and she closes the door and directs you to get undressed. Ok... They stay in the room. It was awkward but I guess they are going to get to know you pretty intimately so... Ok. They also do not give you a drape or anything. You're just like exposed. Weird. But ok. Now, people have reported that it doesn't hurt. Holy crap is that the biggest crock ever. It freaking HURTS! Like you almost scream it hurts so bad. And it takes a while. Right after this wax, COVID hit and our trip was cancelled. I was so dang mad. But to make matters worse, all the salons closed. I had heard that the second and subsequent visits do not hurt as bad. Well, because the salons closed, my next wax was so far out that I had to go through the pain of the very first wax all over again. I will say it was PAINFUL. I have since had a few more, and although it's tolerable, it is still painful. I also started getting my under arms waxed. The under arms do not hurt. I have seen complaints that they "push their products". Well, of course they do. But only the first visit. Other than that they simply ask if you need anything. I do recommend the soothing gel and the exfoliating scrub. Both stop ingrown hairs and slow the rate of hair growth. I also recommend getting a wax pass. I get the Brazilian done every 4 weeks, and my under arms every two weeks. I have a 12 visit brazilian wax pass, and an unlimited under arm wax pass. Overall, after your first visit, come and get one more wax and then make your decision to get a wax pass. It isn't cheap, but this has made my life so much easier. And I'm silky smooth and ready to go at all times. I think I will be doing this until I'm about 80. I love it!
