This is always my go to salon for manis and pedis, I've been consistently coming here for 5+ years. All of their techs are great (I've experienced most of them), but I personally see Celine for my manis. She's so sweet and makes sure your nails look perfect! I've never met someone who pays as much attention to detail and my nails have never been healthier! I've been getting dip for almost 3 years (with no breaks) and my nails are still really healthy. For pedis I usually book with anyone. I tried Stephanie the last time I was in and I loved her! She's so sweet and my nails looked great. A couple of my other favorites are Maya and Tina. Tina is also an amazing manager who works really hard to ensure things run smoothly. The reason I'm leaving this review now is because of my experience with Jason. One of my nails ended up breaking pretty deeply so I was in pain. I stopped in to get it fixed and he was extremely careful and made sure I wasn't in any pain as he soaked my nails off and made it look good as new! He was very friendly and paid attention to detail even after I told him that I don't mind how it looks (because my mani appt. is in a week), I just didn't want to be in pain anymore. I always get dip on my natural nails and because of how healthy and amazing my nails look, strangers always ask if they're my real nails! I get compliments on them all the time! I also really like the vibe at the salon because it's very chill. Some salons can come off as uptight/judgy, but this one is definitely not like that. Terrible experience with unprofessional management. I made an appointment for myself and my mom for gel manicures and pedicures. Instead of a proper manicure, they just slapped on tips and polish no manicure was done at all. I had to ask them to fix my nails because they were uneven and had glue stuck underneath. When we brought up the issues, the manager, Tina, claimed she couldn't understand me over the phone, even though I came in and clearly said we wanted gel and I picked a color she said I could do. She applied regular polish on my mom and tried to do the same to me. When I spoke up, she actually argued with me in front of other staff. We were treated with nothing but disrespect. Everyone else BESIDES Tina was great, but this experience was completely disappointing and I won't be returning. Like, ew. read more

I had an appointment and arrived prior to my appointment time. Although I was seated right away, several customers (walk-ins) were getting their services, while I sat there. They told me since I chose 'any provider" when I booked and the tech they assigned me was not there, I had to wait for another tech. That seems rather backwards. Let me start this review with I am NOT "new, new" as a client I have had service 5 times - I am a creature of habit; I ALWAYS get the exact same service with a new color pallet and it's "BASIC" nothing I request is À la cart, or extreme Yet the price fluctuates, between 10-$20 dollars. Every time I come in here they charge me a different price for the exact same thing. All I get is shellac fill Last I was here 2 weeks ago I paid $38 for a fill Today they charged me $48 and told me they never charged me lower than $40 in the past but that's not what my bank statement says. Jenny is my go to - she does an amazing job, excellent advice on nail care, takes her time and ensure I am in love with my nails before I go. They always have music on which adds a great vibe to business. I received dip powder with extensions and then shellac pedicure. I'm still on the hunt for a great nail salon in the Troy (& surrounding) area, which brought me to try LV Nails. Rounding up to 3 stars because they took me immediately as a walk in, which was very convenient. I just got a basic mani/Pedi and it was very affordable. However, my nails started chipping 24 hours after, which was really disappointing. I purposely didn't do anything that could mess up my nails (like washing dishes, etc.) so they would look nice for the weekend. After 48 hours - forget about it - half my nails were chipped. I think my nail tech could have just put another coat on and there wouldn't have been a problem. But she was really nice, and did a great job with the pedicure. However, there were some other idle workers sitting around chatting and one was making derogatory comments about a customer (and called her a b*), which I felt was unprofessional. Me and a friend decided we wanted to get our nails done last minute, so we were looking for a place that would accept walk-ins. They were able to get us in right away and rushed us to the sink to wash our hands and to pick a nail color. As my friend and I were picking/ discussing what we were going to do with our nails they kept telling us where to sit, multiple times. Finally before we were ready sat down we went to our separate tables, normally I would understand because we were walk ins but this place was pretty besides us and one other. They did an AMAZING job on the nail Design that I wanted and even switched to a different color when I said I wasn't a fan the pink I picked after it applying it to my finger nail. The shellack did however start peeling after 4 days and completely fell off my mail after about a week. read more

Cindy is amazing! We had such a fantastic visit and will be back! My sister and I were driving around trying to find somewhere to get our nails done that was affordable and could take us and LV was just the spot. Cindy was so sweet greeted us with a big smile. She was the only one working at the time so she called her other worker to help her. She was so talkative and really cared about both of us. She took really good care with our nails and made sure they looked good. My color was lighter so she did three coats. My cuticles look great and my sister loves hers too! The outside isn't the nicest but once you step inside you can tell it's been recently remodeled and they really care about their space. It's very reasonably priced right now, it's $21 to get a shellac manicure because they're having a 20% off promo. I will definitely be back to get my nails done here!! read more

This is my new favorite salon! I have gone there 3 times without an appointment and received outstanding service each time. The first time Tommy did a great job on my dip nails. He also did a repair on my daughter's dip nails from another salon and for $6 dollars, he touched up ALL of her dip nails for the same price as ONE repair without even being asked to do so. Tommy is a consummate professional. The second and third time I came for drop in appointments Amy did my dip nails. She did an absolutely PERFECT job both times! She took her time and really shaped my nails perfectly. They have a MILLION colors for dip, shellac and regular polish. Amy is so friendly and welcoming that being there feels like a wonderful getaway with friends. They really know how to execute great customer service at this salon! The salon is co-owned by two very nice women, which I absolutely love. It is truly "woman space" at this salon, as a nail salon should be. They use individual disposable bags for each pedicure and sanitize tools for each use. The workers seem very happy there. The attention to detail at this salon shows that they really care about their nail art craft. I love this place and drive out of my way to go there every 2 weeks. They are less expensive than other places I have gone to in Troy and provide a much more beautiful result within a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. If you haven't tried this salon, you should do yourself a favor and go there to see for yourself. I have been to this salon twice. Both times I was disappointed. My nail polished chipped really bad after the first day. I went back the second time to give them another chance. What a mistake. I was 10 minutes late but I sat there waiting for an hour while people walked in off the street with no appointment and were served immediately. Upon complaining, they said the walk-ins had appointments when they didn't. One walk-in asked if they could take her since she didn't have an appointment and they said yes and took her immediately. Another customer asked if I noticed they were taking walk-ins ahead of me. I did and I won't go there again. There is no excuse for treating customers this way. read more

So! My nails ended up ok, but a lot of work issues came up. I went in for a full set and I had sent them what I wanted, and they said they could do it. After I got there they said they couldn't do the design. The ladies kept switching around and I had almost 4 different people do my nails.
