I called nail envy at about 1 PM. I asked how much a fill of organic dipping powder would be and the worker said it would be $25. This seemed a very good price therefore I asked again to make sure. "Wait, for organic?" And the worker said yes $25. I then continued to make an appointment for my friend and Me at 4:15 PM. I originally wanted Julie to do my nails but since she was not available for 4:15 PM, I said anybody else was fine doing my nails.
My friend and I had an appointment at 4:15 PM. We arrived at 4:14 PM. I was called to sit at Julie's desk at 4:17 PM. At About 4:20 PM, She told me to go back and wait at a chair again with no explanation. Then another girl sat down where I was sitting with Julie and Julie started working on her nails. My friend was still waiting and when I sat next to her, we were both confused that I was sent back.
We didn't think much of it and patiently waited because we still needed to pick our color. At about 4:45 PM, my friend was finally called by a worker (30 minutes after our appointment time) . I waited about another three minutes and a man called me to sit at his desk. I believe this was Julie's brother. Julie is the owner of this nail shop.
After about five minutes of chitchatting with my nail tech, he was starting to put acrylic powder on my nails and I quickly pulled away and said "oh no I usually get organic dipping powder because I am allergic to acrylic." He looked very surprised and confused and started talking to the rest of the employees in his language. After that he told me "why didn't you tell me?" I told him that I thought Julie had told him since I was called to Julies desk before his and I heard them talking so I assumed that she told him. I also sad that when I made my appointment I told the employee that I wanted organic dipping powder. Now that I think about the whole situation, I was enjoying my time at the nail salon chitchatting with my friend who was sitting right next to me. That is the reason why I almost didn't notice that he was going to put the acrylic on my nails. Then he said, the dipping powder it will be $30. Then I mentioned that when I made my appointment the employees said that organic dipping powder was $25 and I even asked her twice to make sure. Julie's brother (my nail tech.) was talking to her and they were both making faces at each other. I couldn't understand what they were saying because it was in their language. After this, he said oh can you go wait at the chairs? I said my appointment was at 4:15 why do I need to wait more? He said he had an appointment at five. I mentioned again that my appointment was at 4:15. He then said that he didn't have me under his appointments. I then told him that I wanted Julie to do my nails but since she was not available at 4:15 I said anybody else could do my nails. Then I got up and didn't know what to think so I went to sit down at the chairs to wait for my friend to be done. My nails looked horrible because he had done was remove my old gel. Julie went to go talk to me and said oh can you wait about 30 to 45 minutes and then I can help you? (she was working on somebody's pedicure ) I said no Julie my appointment was at 4:15 you want me to wait until 545? She said to please wait but at that time 545, my friend was already going to be done with her nails. As a matter of fact when Julie was talking to me, my friend was walking towards the front of the salon because she was finished. A lady sitting at the waiting area asked me what had happened. After hearing my story, she was going to leave as well and go to where she usually gets her nails done.
Overall, nail envy lost three customers. My friend did not like her gel manicure. I had an appointment at 4:15 and the employees of the salon couldn't help me until 545. This is extremely extremely horrible customer service. They should not book appointments if they do not have that availability. They should not give false information and pricing over the phone. I will never return to your nail envy and I will make sure people know about the lack of proper customer service. read more
