I went in today , excited because of the good review I had previously read. When the lady sat me down she seemd pretty nice, and I let her know how I wanted my nails. Towards the end while I was stll making suggestion she seemed to be bothered so I just let her finish how she thought was best. When she was done my nails looked really bad and they were very bulky and bumpy. What's horrible about this place is the customer service. My girlfriend was upset about her mani pedi and she has a quick temper so she asked me to do it. I called and asked about the charges and I spoke to the owner or whatever she was. She said that she immediately blamed my girlfriend and her LITTLE sister. My girlfriend usually pays 50 for everything when Ann does her mani pedi. and her sister is usually 20-25 to the most. the owner straight over charged for the both of them. About 25 over. The woman who did my girlfriends little sister nails ASKED HER if she wants flowers but DIDNT ASK THE ONE WHO WAS PAYING. When I called I asked about it , she called my girlfriend a liar and that she did ask my girlfriend who was paying. If you own a business like this you should know not to blame the customers. asked for a simple manicure with an opaque almost clear color and they couldn't even do that. my manicure was done in less than 5 minutes, and the woman that did my nails couldn't even file all my fingers the same. the shape of all my nails are ALL different. can't wait to go home and fix someone else's mistake. this place has manicurists that can't even do a basic manicure- first thing they learn in cosmetology school. don't go here or else you'll have to fix your nails yourself or go to someone else. also they overcharge everything. be aware. read more

I've been here two times I don't usually get my nails done but I went the first time got a pedicure and French tip nails and they blew my mind that they had plastic covers for the tubs of water for ur feet I was impressed cuz to me that's a good thing ur not sharing the same with anyone else. They did it a good job and I also saw that they use new tools to do ur pedicure I was like wow nice. But I just went there today to get my toes done and what I found very wrong of them to be doing is they supposedly use new tools for ur toes but they actually just clean the tools and they put them back in the little blue bags so they make u think they're using new ones. If u noticed the blue bag has an opening on the top part they clean the tools put them back in bag, seal the bag and then "open it " in front of u thinking the tools are clean and there not! That really pist me off. If people don't have clean feet and have some kind of fungus u are most likely gonna get infected of those tools aren't clean.. Went in to get my nails for my brother in laws graduation. Since I was there I figured let's just get a wax (upper lip, legs).For one she missed a few hairs on the upper lip and left it sticky. Two she left wax on my legs as well when I got home my pants had gotten sticky too, it feels as if I would have shaven(definitely not what is supposed to be like). Now as for the nails she kept saying everything I wanted they couldn't do because they didn't have a machine to do now I was asking for anything completely complicated. In fact I had had it one freehand before at lest one of the designs. They didn't really have too many neutral colors, they were mainly pinks and neon or sparkly colors. She left a few glue spots and the side looks bad on a few but one it's just ughhh. One nail is really crooked -___- well my right hand is (the way she cut it) . Like many others I feel it was tooo expensive for the quality of work. Considering they kept talking amungs each other and she was one her phone for a bit, didn't really mind the baby being watched but the fact she was on her phone. The times I have been here I walked in and was seated and helped right away. There are 170+ gel nail colors. The gel mani was $25 which is reasonable. My nails have lasted over two weeks! The ladies are so nice and talked to me without a problem. I can't wait to go back to get my nails. read more

I started getting my nails done again a year ago. Its more about the manicurist than the location. BUT the location does matter. This place is around the corner from my house, its new and clean and theres always parking. Like previous reviews, I have had to wait. But never longer than 20 mins and its only been 2 times. I went several places b4 I found the girl who does my nails here. Her nail game is on point!! Clean and neat. Ive had the little chick who may be the owner and the guy with the tats do my nails. BAD!! I hate sloppy acrylics!! Ugh. I recently had Andy do mine... horrible!!! He left gel polish from previous set still on and it could be seen underneath! They were crooked and just messy, he didnt clean/buff down my real nail under two nails where my real nail was pulling away from the acrylic so dirt would get in between. I had to go back to have that taken care of. My regular girl wasnt there who I usually make an app and shes always sees me on time. But I walked in this day and I needed a fill bad! The price is right but I have been charged diff prices for seemingly the same service as before. Bottom line Im happy with my girl, the cleanliness and location. If you walk in... anywhere... you run the risk of waiting. So thats not a valid complaint. read more

She brought the manicure items to clean my cuticles she cut me so deep my fingers didn't stop bleeding!! I told her it hurt and she said it was my FAULT!! Explain to me how it's my fault! She continued to do my manicure, she then asked me what color. I asked if I could get a light pink and she brought me a really cute one. She continued to do my Gel nails I asked if I could get an ombré style with glitter! She said sure she started to do them and OMG they were HORRIBLE! She had no clue what she was doing. I get the ombré style all the time it is my go to Gel style and she just didn't do a good job but I was polite about it of course. I told her I didn't like how it looked and she rolled her eyes and said something below her breath she grabs my hand hard and starts to take off the glitter. I got so mad! She was RUDE and she had the odasity to try and charge me the extra $5 for the design. She then removed the $5 fee and only charged me for te removal of Gel and the gel manicure I paid for my service and did NOT tip her! She then has the guts to say why I didn't give her no tip! I walked away and left never returning! Don't expect a tip for being rude worst customer service ever at a nail salon! I've been going to Nail Envy since they opened. I love it there. I've been to almost every nail salon in Oxnard and Camarillo nun of them can some close to the amazing job they do. The whole staff is very talented. They are always nice and pleasant. I've never had to wait for my appointment. When I'm a walk in they always give me a a time of when they can get me in and it's always accurate. They never rush and go above and beyond to make sure I'm happy. I've told several friends about Nail Envy and they love it too. The salon is always clean and the price is reasonable, even when I get a lot of extras, they even let me know the cost up front. I get my nails done, toes and eye brows done here and I'm very pleased with every service that I get from them (every time). Their so nice and if you ever have a issue they will fix it. If you decide to get get stones and flowers on all your toes it's going to be extra. I'm never over charged and I'm always treated wonderful by all the staff. read more

Do not go here! I called and made two full set acrylic appointments with Danny. I specifically talked to HIM not another nail tech, and asked him what time in the morning would be convenient for HIM. He told me to come in at 10:30 and he said my sister could come in at 11. My sister also needed a pedicure so we figured she could get one while she waited for her turn. Five minutes after we arrived for our appointments, a woman walked in and said, "Hi, I made a 10:15 appointment with Danny." I was shocked! Danny told me to come in at 10:30 but he had another acrylic appointment at 10:15?! Who does that? I honestly don't think they had an appointment book. And when we walked in, Danny was working on another client and was no where near done! After 40 mins of waiting, Danny was still working on the woman who he had been working on when we first walked in, he hadn't even started his 10:15 appointment! After 45 mins of waiting, a man approached my sister and started her pedicure. When I had called to book our appointments, I had asked for Tanya to do my sister's pedicure, I guess they never even cared to write that down because Tanya did not do my sister's pedicure, a man did. The man did a very crappy job on my sisters toes, her toes ended up very crooked. Danny's 10:15 appointment who was also still waiting ended up asking an available nail technician to do her nails. The woman started doing her nails. We thought for sure Danny would now come assist us after he was done with his current customer. After Danny finished the nails of the woman he was working on, he directly went to his 10:15 appointment who was now being happily helped by a woman technician and took over the job. WHAT?! You would think since his 10:15 appointment was already having her nails fixed he would come assist me, who had now been waiting a WHOLE HOUR past her appointment time. Danny also passed by my sister and I three times and he never once apologized or talked to us. We ended up paying for the crappy pedicure and walked out without our nails done. 1 hour wait. I disagree with all the negative reviews on here. Nail Envy has great, friendly service & I've NEVER had a problem. I've gotten so many compliments on my nails, even from guys! LOL. I've always been treated nicely with respect. They are very professional & they all went to school (unlike the negative accusations other ladies have written in the reviews below). The ladies do talk to you & prices are reasonable. I've never felt uncomfortable & I've never been rushed or felt like my personal items like my purse was at risk. They are sweet & caring. I've been going to this salon since they opened and Julie and Ann are always so good but unfortunately they aren't always there. The rest of the staff is HORRIBLE!!!! Customer services is just pathetic. Nancy is one of the worse. Even with an appointment you still wait 30 mins till someone works on you. Yesterday was the absolute worse experience ever there to the point were Nancy filed my nails down and all then tells me she didn't have time to do my nails. Yet she had already started. I'm glad she pushed me away from the business with her horrible attitude because I ended up going back to Rainbow Nails where the customer service was just Perfect. I came to this shop when it first opened and did a simple set with no problems. I do remember the staff being young, therefore more open to trying nail art. I decided to try them again (after not being able to get an appointment with my regular place) and that was a HUGE mistake. I'm not sure if they are under new management, but this time everyone was older. (that doesn't really matter except for they are harder to deal with bc they want to do what they want, not what the customer wants) So I wait about 20 mins for a full set and pedicure. Once I'm seated, they begin to work on both my hands and feet as I'm sitting in the pedicure chair, I absolutely hate when nail shops do that. It's just my preference to do it separately. My nails looked hideous! They were too long, too thick and for some reason she repeatedly filed my cuticles. I left the shop with at least 2 cuts on my fingers. I also asked for a simple design, and once she tried it and couldn't do it, she said, "Is that what you want? It looks silly!" I personally do not go to nail shops to be told what "I" want. Especially since I'm paying them. All in all I was very dissapointed in their service and how she tried to ridicule me for what I wanted. I will never recommend this place to anyone. read more
