First timer at Nail Elegance this afternoon and I can't express how happy I am with how my nails turned out! Ahn took the time to fix and fill my acrylic set from another nail salon and did so beautifully. I went with her suggestion of coffin shaped nails instead of square that I had wanted to do because, as she said, they would fit my hand shape better as well as lengthen and slim my fingers. She was right! I have a give a huge THANK YOU to Tina as well for finding gel polish that would closely match the polish I wanted on my toes. Ahn again did a fabulous pedicure for me. I don't think my poor feet have ever gotten such caring attention before. I will definitely be returning to Nail Elegance in the future. This place is amazing! Tina and her crew no what time it is when it comes to your nails!!!! No place, I mean no place can compare! I love Nail Elegance!! They do beautiful work. My best friend first brought me here for their pedicures, and I have been coming ever since!! Tina and her girls are VERY professional, and she can always squeeze me in even with last minute calls. They do beautiful work from the toes to the fingers. The pedi is fabulous with a mini massage, hot stones and paraffin wax. They have a variety of colors and do beautiful work with decorative designs on your toes. The polish stays SOOOO long, and the pedi experience is DIVINE. I recently got my first acrlic set done with Tina and she did a beautiful job for a reasonable price!! Ladies are really sweet. They took me as a walk in as well. I needed pink and white nails with gel on top. They did that, however, the white line of my french is not straight at all. She did the powder by hand, but the line between my pink and white on every finger is not straight. She also didn't file any of my nails evenly. I had to come home and fix them all. My nails are wear-able for the next two weeks.... i'd recommend them for mani's and pedi's... i saw the girls getting those done in there and they did a great job, but not for acrylic nails. Kinda pricey too... 35$ for that plus tip... not worth it considering i had to fix everything myself when i got home. read more

Tina is amazing! I used to live in San Diego, and everytime I would visit my family, my mom, husband and I would go to Nail Elegance. Even though she did not see us very often, she remembered us! The nail shop is very clean, and all of the technicians are very friendly. I love how they use hot stones, hot lotion, and paraffin wax, all for the same price as a regular nail shop. I definitely recommend Nail Elegance to all you that love to be pampered! A plus is they also use the gell(axxium) nail polish! I've found my nail place! The ladies here are professional, friendly (they even remember your name and things about you) and very good at what they do. They truly care for your nails and will give you their opinion on what you should do to ensure their health - i.e. not to take off your acrylics (as I requested) but file them right back and put gel on top so that they will eventually fall off by themselves and not destroy the nail underneath. I took their advice and you can't even tell that there are acrylics underneath the polish! They have an amazing array of colours and gorgeous patterns if you feel like something extra special. I love my nails. It might be a little more expensive than elsewhere buts its worth it. I will definitely be back. read more

I'm picky when it comes to nail salons and I love this place! I'll never go anywhere else. They have a huge selection of colors, especially gel. The owner is nice and accommodating. The tools are sanitary and they do a meticulous job. The best part is, every massage is done with hot stones! You also get paraffin wax with pedicures, which is a real treat. I usually get acrylic nails and gel. Im happy with the quality and service. Tina, the owner, doesn't nails and I think she is the best for acrylic out of all the girls. They're quick and not too expensive, and accommodating with appointments. I often come with my son, keep him in the stroller outside so he doesn't breathe the fumes, and Tina does my nails at the front desk so I can be close to him. I have been going here since they opened and I really do not trust anyone else with doing a better job then Tina and her awesome staff. Tina is awesome and really has always done an excellent job on my nails, especially when they were in terrible shape a year ago and now, you would never know what a wreck they were. I love my pedi's as well and can't wait for each appointment. They are great, even if Willow Glen parking is not so great if you go during a weekend or Friday night. The first time I got a mani/pedi here I had a great experience (probably a year ago) ... the reason why I gave them two stars rather than the one they so deserve! Subsequently each time I've been back I've been more and more disappointed. I went after work on a Thursday at 6pm (I had an appointment) - a full hour before their closing time. They rushed me through my mani/pedi ushering me out the door in 30 minutes. I was beyond ticked. Totally not a relaxing experience!! Here is my list of complaints: - Rushed me out the door with still wet nails (I don't know about you, but I need a good period of drying time to try to minimize my messing up the polish!! I'm usually a spaz!) - The nail tech who filed my nails created completely crooked nails! When I pointed them out to her she looked beyond annoyed! I'm sorry, if your work is shoddy you should expect a reaction. - The water in my pedi tub was cold! - The stones used in my massage were beyond hot! OUCH! I totally sound awful! I'm sorry, I had a really bad experience. I'm now on the hunt for a new nail salon in Willow Glen. read more

I wish I could give more stars to the place, but unfortunately, it's not consistent. Tina is nice, she remembers me and my friends and it's always a really fun experience. I got gel manicure from a few different girls, and I highly recommend it. They have a large variety of quality nail polish and I'm usually happy with the long lasting results. The pedicure is OK, but the real problem is that not all of the girls are patient and doing a good job. I recommend Kaitlin and Tina, who are really good. Had a few minutes to spare and went to get Gelish nail manicure. The hot rock massage was wonderful and to boot their was a large selection of colors to choose from. At the end of manicure I asked if they had time for a pedicure, they did!! Wonderful massage and the massage chair was an added to my relaxation. I've been going to Nail Elegance for several years, on the recommendation of my neighbors. I mainly get pedicures, and they're almost always wonderful. Tina, the owner, has had some problems with staff turnover, and once in a while you do get a half-hearted technician. But I'd say it's been wonderful 90% of the time, and better than okay every other time. The paraffin treatment is especially nice, as is the hot stone leg massage. And, the price seems fair. An investment in new chairs is due soon, but overall I would certainly recommend Nail Elegance to anyone. read more

Nail Elegance is great! I have been going here for years (mostly for pedicures). I believe I started when they first opened. The only complaint I have is that the leg rub used to be a lot longer than it is now but it's still great. I never worry about any of the tools they are using being clean and sanitary. They tear open a new package of tools for each customer which I like. Tina always acknowledges me when I arrive and getting an appointment is generally easy to get. This is my 3rd time there. What a horrible experience. I got there 10 minutes early. I have never had such a bad pedicure. Tina cut my toenails to short. The polish is lumpy and uneven. It was rush, rush, rush.The lady in the chair next to me was still getting her pedicure when I left and she had started about 5 minutes after me. Everything is clean and Tina and her staff are always nice and professional. The hot stone massages are fabulous. Combine that with the massage chair! The price and service can't be beat. We usually go during the week and never have a problem making an appt to come in together at the same time. I'm not sure what the other reviewer is talking about regarding Willow Glen housewives. This have never been our experience. Every customer that's been in there when we are has been friendly and easy to converse with. And to make a comment about the decor. Please! I use to come here all the time. They recently raised their prices which made me stop. Last time I got a pink/white it was $40 and Tina didn't even use the dark pink it was the regular gel powder. Before when I use to go, I'd sometimes pay 45 and my friend would pay 35. It clearly would say 35 on the wall and I always ended up paying 5-10 dollars more. She also never walked to do my nails short. The one time she did I feel like she purposely made them look horrible. I feel they only want you to do long nails so they would break and you'd come back more. The pedicures are nice though and I would definitely go back for those. While I think the staff are very nice, I'm disappointed in how they did my gel nail fills. The original person has a different color than the person who did the fills, so my nails look like I have tree rings on them, part pink, and part muted pink. The last time I got the fill done, the person put superglue all over the tips of my fingers instead of my nails! They don't clean under my nails in the pedicure, even when I ask. The technicians just mindlessly rub lotion and the hot stones on my legs and feet, and it's not a massage. I went 3-4 times over 6 weeks, and I'm going to find a new place. read more

Still a happy and loyal customer! They just remodeled with new pedi chairs which makes it an even better salon. Please disregard the bad reviews complaining about the plastic tubs. They are using these tubs to save water. I believe the owner Tina said they are saving about 75% per pedicure! The tubs have nothing to do with sanitary issues. This salon is very clean. My best friend just recently moved to the area so we checked this nail salon out! I got a French shellac manicure and normal pedicure. Ivy was great and really patient with me. It was $25 each plus $5 more for the French so decently priced!! The salon was well ventilated which made this preggo happy and very clean and soothing. Will absolutely go here again! read more

Skip this place. I went here while visiting my son. I had to wait for 30 minutes past my reservation time. The nail technician was then so rushed, she actually started my manicure before I was seated at a manicure station, so that I had to twist my back awkwardly to face her. The soaking bowl for my hands was FREEZING COLD. The technician was so rude, I really wanted to walk out midway through my manicure. Then, shortly after I left, I realized she had left gel polish on one of my fingertips. Not having any polish remover at my son's house, I had to go back to get it removed. The manager actually started scraping the gel polish off of my fingertip with her fingernail! That really hurt, so I asked her to stop. She then retrieved an implement (not from a sanitized bag) and used it to peel off the gel polish. I am used to receiving quality nail service in the two upscale cities where I live (Leawood, KS and Scottsdale, AZ). I thought Willow Glen was an upscale area as well, but this particular business certainly doesn't reflect quality. read more

I really want to like Nail Elegance as they can give a pretty good manicure for the price ($15), but it's frustrating when the owner, Tina, is the one doing your nails and she's basically not willing to say thank you or communicate at all. How do you run a business and train your staff if you can't set a good example. During the 20 min. manicure, she barely said one word to me. Hmmmm....do you want my business? There are other reviews that have similar comments. I'm a white gal so I don't think it's just Latinas that she doesn't like.
