She left MULTIPLE scrapes on my toes, ant and all cuts were super uneven. This was the WORST experience I've ever had in a nail salon. There was ZERO force applied to the massage. Never have I hated myself for wasting 35$. Manicurist was distracted and didn't look at my toes. She spent 15 minutes max on ALL removing the polish, buffing, and an additional sugar scrub/massage. I waited to do my review until the first chip in my nail polish so I could give an accurate timeframe of how long it lasts. I got them done on Sunday January 11th and the first chip was Tuesday February 3rd. That's some good quality nail polish! I am on my feet excessively both shoeless and with socks & shoes on, so I need a high quality and long lasting pedicure. I came in with my sister to do a color change on my toes which were previously white and wanted them repainted white. During my service, I had a Vietnamese woman who I overheard her speaking to her co workers about overcharging me since I was young. She did not expect me to speak Vietnamese but I did understand everything she said as Vietnamese is my first language. Along with this, she only filed off the previous polish off of my toes and didn't bother reshaping my nails or even just cutting them down, which should be bare minimum! When I asked her to cut my nails at least, she tried to charge me for that but her co worker interrupted her and disagreed with her since reshaping is again, THE BARE MINIMUM. After all of this, my toes still looked horribly done. The paint was tacky, clumpy, and extremely uneven. If you guys plan to come here make sure you're aware of how they take advantage of their customers! read more

I really wanted to like this place since it was so close to me. First set I got the nail tech cut me while trimming back cuticles. The set lifted and thumb nail fully popped off after 5 days. Second appointment same nail tech cut two of my nail beds again. I got a chrome top and found lots of bumps. Overall would not recommend or proceed with caution. read more

I happened to be in the area today and in needed of getting my Christmas nails removed, so I came by as a walk in, which is welcome if you don't mind who does your nails. I asked for Lynn but unfortunately she was not available when I walked in. It was still a 45 minute wait, no problem, I went over to Starbucks that's located in the same plaza to get a drink and scroll through reels. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the Owner came over to let me know that it was just another 5 minutes before my turn. Quickly walked back, chose my colors, and guess what! I got Chi Lynn! I think he intentionally planned it out, I am thankful cause I love her! We caught up on each other's lives, and as always, she did such an amazing job with my nails! This is my go-to spot for Gel X nails. I really enjoy my experiences with Han and Tran so I try to book with them when I can! The staff at the front taking clients is always super nice and very appreciative of their clients. They do their best to make you feel welcome. The inside is pretty big and they have many stations for both manicures and pedicures. The pedicure chairs have built in massage functions to enjoy. Tips: 1. Make an appointment online or over the phone for quick service, but no need to make an appointment. They are very walk-in friendly. 2. If you enjoy a more relaxed experience at a less busy time, I recommend going in on weekdays or if you need to go in on the weekend, to try going in before 10am. 3. Sometimes if it's busy and you are trying to get a manicure and pedicure, the staff will come over to try and do the manicure while you are getting a pedicure, but they are ok with doing the services separately, just let them know you prefer that. read more

This was a surprise find! The shop is a decent sized shop with about 8 chairs. The parking in front is limited because many of them at 30 minute parking spots. We walked in and we were able to get a manicure and pedicure right away! That was great! The supplies were good quality and equivalent to many bigger franchised nail salons in the area. The entire place seemed clean. There were a lot of color options. I was obsessed with the lotion smell even after I came home. The technicians were detailed oriented and careful. I would be curious to come back to try their acrylic nails and designs next time! You also get a nice little discount if you pay with cash. I was going to be in town, so I reserved two pedicures online a week before. I called the day of to change the time to later because I knew I was running late. The person on the phone said it would be fine and I didn't feel any judgement at all (as one might feel after missing an appointment). So I was in high spirits before I got there. When we did arrive, the person at the front didn't immediately look up from their phone, which is totally forgivable because I do that sometimes, but when I said hello, they still didn't acknowledge my prescience but waited until they were done doing whatever they were doing to greet me. I thought that was pretty awkward but they didn't seem phased. There are 4-5 seats as you wait -- it's a pretty busy shop. The lady who worked on my pedi said their busy times are the holidays and summertime. So even if you have an appointment, be prepared for a 10 min wait. They do have a bathroom in the very back. I was seated first, and they sat my company a few minutes later, two seats away from me. I'm glad the front desk person noticed, and had the ladies reseat us so that we were next to each other. I planned on getting gel polish and they had a good selection. I ended up going with a green cat eye. The pedi was $47, getting gel was $15 extra, and getting the cat eye design was $10 extra. The ladies were really nice. I get really bad calloused heels, so I opted for the callous removal pedi...they didn't get all the callouses out like other places I've gone to. Since the person I took with me was planning on getting clear polish, they didn't show the ladies a color selection. Because of that, they didn't get their toes painted. They should have spoken up but I also think the ladies should have asked. You can bring cash for a cash discount. Overall, it was a positive experience, but because service was slightly lacking and because my company didn't get all that came with a pedicure, I don't think I'd personally come back whenever I visit San Jose again. read more

I've gone to pinko nail spa faithfully for over 4 years I live over an hour away but still made the commute relatively often I would go to Kim for my nails. One day she was not available so I found a new nail tech named Lynn she was fabulous and I loved her work so I would continually book with Lynn. I only ever got short French tip due to my work.. One day Lynn was not accessible due to being off work so I chose to book with Kim again because I also liked her work ; she gave me such a bad attitude based off the fact I stopped booking with her I finally told the male receptionist and now whenever I try to book an appointment and Lynn is not available they are not accommodating me an appointment they are highly unprofessional they don't care if your a long time customer and their is more then 2 nail techs there so why are they refusing my service. I would not recommend this nail shop and felt very unwanted and mistreated I have built trust at this place and drove long distance multiple times to be treating less then. 0/5 stars! read more

Certain ladies there are great at copying a picture of nails that you want done. Just make sure they communicate back to you and assure that they can do it. I'm new to San Jose (from LA, where good, creative gel design is plentiful!) and wanted a gel mani with design. This business heavily advertised on Yelp and I wanted to try them out since the photos looked so great. When I actually got there, they seated the family who checked in after me first. And left me waiting at the front for 10 minutes before I finally went to the back to use the restroom and some random nail tech told me to sit down. She filed my nails unevenly and then said that she wouldn't be able to do my nails unless I showed her the exact design of what I want on each nail. I gave her inspo pics and she couldn't figure it out. She called the manager over and both of them said they couldn't help me unless they had the exact designer to copy. I ended up leaving with just a base coat on my nails. Don't come here unless you just want a basic manicure or you want a copycat of whatever crappy designs you find online. read more

I booked my appointment online for 4:30 PM with Nikita. If a business offers an online booking system, I assume it's actually being used and respected. I arrived early at 4:15 PM, checked in, and told the man at the front desk that my name was Arlene and I had a 4:30 appointment. He asked if I had called to book, and I said no, I booked online. He responded by saying that next time I should call instead, especially if I want a specific nail tech. That immediately made me question why they even offer online booking if clients are expected to call anyway. I still waited patiently. At 4:30 they brought me to a back station and then... nothing. No one acknowledged me, no update, no apology, no technician. By 4:45 I decided to leave because it was clear no one was going to check on me or start my appointment. It was disappointing and honestly felt like my time didn't matter. If you're going to offer online booking, the system should actually work and clients shouldn't be made to feel like they did something wrong for using it. Basic communication and acknowledgment would have gone a long way. read more

I get they speak a different language which is okay but you can tell when they're speaking bad about you. Went here for the first time today. I read the reviews that said to come early on a weekday. I went early on a Thursday and it was pretty full. BUT they were able to take me in as a walk-in. I don't know the name of the woman who did my nails but she did a great job! I told her it was my first time asking for Gel x and wanted nails for a wedding I'm in, she walked me through the process and showed me some nail sizes. Pinko nails is the best!! The vibe in here always feels clean and not too loud. I'm usually greeted by Vincent and he's so calm and kind. They always honor appointment times which I greatly appreciate. Over the past year I've been coming for a gel pedicure and dip powder manicure. Lynn is an amazing manicurist. She is always bubbly and making conversation. I go for an almond shape and she is so skilled at getting the shape just right. She says almond her specialty ;). I really enjoy my appointments with her. Hana is probably my favorite technician for pedicures. She takes her time cleaning all the cuticles, is gentle and efficient. Nikita is a wizard at nail art. Absolutely incredible. Whenever I see her with a basic design she says "that's it?" ... I've shown her photos of things I thought were impossible and she makes it look like she can do it with her eyes closed. Lastly, I often come with my grandma and Kathy goes above and beyond to make sure it's a comfortable experience for her. She takes her time making sure it's still high quality. Since we are regulars at Pinko, the staff knows us and all make it a fun part of our routine.
