She's detail-oriented, talented, and my nails always come out looking beautiful while staying strong for weeks. For my pedicures, I always go to Sammi, and she's just as amazing. She's thorough, gentle, and makes every pedicure feel relaxing and refreshing. The salon itself is always clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Super nice salon, but cleanliness is questionable. They reused the toe separator :( called her out and she said it was new when clearly there's residue and polish on it. They also reused the bristle brush on my feet and it definitely was not brand new. I felt so disgusted. Everything you use (especially) on the feet should be disposable. I've been seeing both for 3 years now and they both are truly so good at what they do and they genuinely care about their clients. They take their time, don't rush, are patient and very detail-oriented. I always have such a great experience when I book with them. My manicures always last me over 3 weeks without lifting or breaking. They know what they're doing & they excel at it!! As for pedicures, Jenny is the best!! She's always so gentle and doesn't rush. I came in for a simple gel polish removal today and was taken to Ruby. I had a very disappointing experience with her. From the moment I sat down, she was rude and had an attitude that made me feel unwelcome. She was extremely rough throughout my appointment. While removing my gel polish, she over-filed my nails with the electric drill, causing my nail beds to burn. I told her it was hurting, but she continued going over the same spot. She also filed over my skin several times, kept pulling my hands, and squeezed my fingers unnecessarily hard. I asked her to cut my nails shorter, but she seemed annoyed by the request. As I looked at my nails after the fact, I realized that she only filed the corners of some nails so that they weren't so sharp and the others are so sharp they are constantly stabbing me. Also, my cuticles are cut up due to the fact that she kept going over my skin and over it with the drill. You can also see the leftover gel polish she didn't file off. The service felt rushed, and my nails ended up crooked and uneven. When she finished, she sprayed alcohol on my hands and immediately walked away to her next client without checking if I was happy with the results. After I was finished, I had walked over to my mom who was getting her pedicure done and was telling her about my disappointing experience, the girl at the front desk came over and just said she'd take $5 off. It left me feeling like the goal was to quiet my concerns instead of taking them seriously or trying to make the situation right. I left today feeling uncomfortable and disappointed with both the service and the quality of my nails. My nails are now crooked, thin & hurting when I know that if I had gone to Andy or Sammi, this wouldn't have ever happened. I will only be going to Andy or Sammi for my manicures. I have been a loyal customer here for a long time and have probably been to this nail salon over 30 times. I have also brought my whole family here, so I am really disappointed to be writing this. Today was the worst experience I have ever had here. The nail tech working on me seemed new, so another employee, Anna, came over to show her how to paint my nails. I showed Anna a photo of what I wanted, which was a simple pearl overlay. She said okay and proceeded with the polish. After she painted one toe, she asked if I liked it. I said it was not what I had asked for, which was already hard for me to say because I do not like confrontation. It was only then that she told me they did not have what was needed to do the look. I explained that I wish I had been told that before they started, because I would have chosen a different color or design. After that, Anna became visibly upset, started speaking loudly to the other employee, and the service became very rough. She cut me, my toes physically hurt, and I felt extremely uncomfortable. The final result was not the color or look I wanted, the polish was streaky, and the whole experience felt rushed, uncomfortable, and unprofessional. We also paid for the pedicure that includes a hot stone massage. The hot stones were not used during the massage as expected. I asked Anna about it, and she said not to worry, but then the timer was started and the massage began without the stones. My daughter only received hot stones for approximately the last 30 seconds of her massage, and mine were not brought over until more than halfway through the massage timer. That is not the service we paid for. What upset me most is that Anna was also doing my teenage daughter's toes. My daughter later told me that Anna was digging at an ingrown toenail, it hurt, and she gave up halfway but left it there. That feels unsafe and concerning, especially when a customer is in pain and the issue is not fully addressed. I understand that people can have off days and that new staff need training, but customers should not be treated aggressively for politely saying they do not like the result, especially after being told the salon could do the requested look. Customers also should not pay for services that are not properly provided. I love how she took her time shaping my nails and even gave me a hand massage with hot towel at the very end of my session. Prices are also reasonable. I got a mani pedi here last month and I had high hopes, the interior is very nice and location is convenient if you are a resident in the neighborhood. Unfortunately I would advise people not to get manicures here. The person who did my pedicure was very professional and she did a great job, hence the 3 stars. The person who did my manicure however, was visibly rude and annoyed. She did my nails as fast as she possible could and ran away before I could get her name. First of all, while she was already cutting/filing my nails I was told that they didn't have any of the colors I wanted. But she already started on my nails so I ended up having to choose a color I didn't want. Then when I told her I need short nails because of my profession, she proceeded to cut INTO my nail bed very quickly with excessive force! At the salon she put a TON of oil on my hands so I couldn't tell, but once I got home and washed my hands, the polish work was blatantly sloppy and extremely streaky. What a disaster! As somebody who also does nails herself, I honestly cannot believe I paid for this service. I took the nails off the same day and redid them myself... I know I've rated Rosie Nails before but the last 2 times I've been here I have not been impressed. In February, I called to see if they could do 2 pedicures on a Monday - granted it was President's Day and towards the end of the day - and they told us we could come in 15 minutes. I told them I'm about 20 minutes out and they said ok. We arrived and they said they're closing but their hours for a Monday showed they still have 1.5 hours to be open. But the gal at the front said we're closing early today for Lunar New Year, so the techs left. Well, tell me that when I called. Luckily I found another spot and had a great experience. Fast forward to today where I made an appointment for 3 pedicures at 11:30 am. None of the techs were ready, and we were finally seated at the pedicure chairs at 11:45 am. Then only 1 of our techs were ready. Another 5'ish minutes and the 2nd tech came, Rachel. It's 12:00 pm, and our 3rd tech, who we love, Helen, was still working on another client. Helen is the best so we want to wait for her but it was 30 minutes after our appointment time that all 3 of us were being worked on. So that means the first 2 had to wait for the 3rd to finish. The only reason why this review is 3 stars is because of Helen: she is such an awesome tech and does such a great job is why we come back here. I seriously think it's the management who is scheduling all the techs who messed up today. Most pedicures take about 30-40 minutes. If we had to wait 35 minutes for Helen, that means they assigned her to another client right before our 11:30 am appointment. Couldn't they see she had an appointment and assign someone else to the other client? Or don't double book too close to appointments? Or even tell us that Helen is going to take long and see if we wanted another tech? Nope, none of that. I had to ask if I can just have someone else at 12:00 pm, but I really wanted Helen, and luckily Helen was able to help us. Again, Helen is awesome! I might be dooming myself because she'll get more business after this post; but Helen deserves to be recognized. Thank you Helen! read more

I took a break from gel and acrylic manicures for a year or two so my nails could get healthy again. I wanted to try something different so I said I wanted to try powder. The tech came out and asked me questions on what color I like, I said I wanted ombré in red color. She started to "mansplain" to me what ombré powder is and what she was going to do and I was just there and said "whatever works." Then, the tech proceeded to talk in their language and as I was just there observing people's reactions and I can just feel that they're talking shit about me or my choice of manicure or whatever. I changed my color and just went to get a simple pink color with glitter. So, I sat down and she asked me if I have kids and I said I have two boys (6 yo and 8 month old). She seemed shocked and she said, "oh you don't look like someone who has an 8 month old." I was shocked that she said that! Maybe it's a language barrier or maybe she didn't mean it to come out that way but it just made me self-conscious. Then, the tech started to talk in their language again and I heard "Philippine" in their conversation so I immediately assumed that they're talking shit again about me coz I'm Filipino. Overall, she did an okay job on my nails but the vibe of this place is just off. You can tell that workers talk shit about you. My first impression of this place is disappointing. I can confidently say that I have not been this angry in a very long time. My appointment was scheduled for 3:15 p.m., but the nail technician did not begin working on my nails until 3:40. I understand that appointments can run behind, and I was willing to be patient. I wanted my gel polish removed and replaced with regular polish because my nails have become too thin, and I am taking a break from gel. I explained this clearly at the start of the appointment. During the removal process, I mentioned that it seemed not all of the gel had been removed. My comment was ignored. Instead, the technician repeatedly told me that gel polish was better. Each time, I explained why I did not want gel. After the first coat of regular polish, I noticed the surface was very bumpy and pointed it out. The technician responded, "Gel is smooth." Regular polish would have been smooth as well if the gel underneath had been properly removed. After the second coat, my nails looked even worse. I told her that I was unhappy with the result. Once again, she insisted the problem was that I had chosen regular polish instead of gel. As the polish dried, it became even more obvious that something was wrong. It appeared she had applied an excessive amount of topcoat in an attempt to smooth the surface, and the topcoat dried with visible wrinkles. At that point, I politely asked her to remove the polish. She did so aggressively. When I complained at the front desk, the young woman sheepishly admitted that the technician "is not very good" and suggested that I choose someone else next time. Excuse me? If the salon knows a technician consistently produces poor results, why was I assigned to her in the first place? So, after spending 1 hour and 20 minutes and paying $32, I came home and had to soak my nails myself to remove the remaining old gel polish. I have a major event tomorrow and was hoping my nails would look nice. Instead, I am left with wasted time, and a very disappointing experience. read more

I've had really good experiences here and some not so well, my most recent one was getting a pedicure. I came in on Friday around 4PM and was immediately seating. This time around I feel like my experience wasn't the best due to my appointment feeling rushed. I also feel like the lady that did my pedicure was not taking the time to be detailed which is provided in the service. The hot towel that was provided was lukewarm and the 5 minute massage was lacking effort. Other than that, I was provided a choice of beverage and some disposable flip flops since I came in sneakers. Thought I'd finally treat myself to consistently getting my nails done at this place . On the third month when they took the color off my toe I noticed it looked weird and when I asked the tech she said it's just the lighting. I went home and took the color off because I got anxiety and it made an appointment with a Podiatrist. I was quoted $65 for a topical solution, $25 for blood work done to do the oral medication(not including that medication cost) and $350 to extract the toe nail. The doctor confirmed it's a fungal infection you get when places don't sanitize their equipment welll. So how's that for a treat yourself ? The same day I also asked three times if they can do the design I wanted and they said yes then I saw her struggling to do it, I said if you can't do it it okay I'll just get regular nail and she kept saying she can do it. At one point I was surrounded by 3-4 staff trying to teach her how to do it on the spot and this is how I walked out. I left but called to ask if I can come back to fix it , I walked in and the lady seemed very annoyed with me and the staff came by took look and talk in their language about me while in was still there . It was so uncomfortable 10/10 would not reccomend . I just wanted a relaxing spa day once a month and I came out stressed and with a new bill to pay . Been coming to Rosie's for a while now. Wanted to highlight Jenny, Rachael, and Kim. These ladies have done my nails before and they've all done a wonderful job each time. Rachael is really great at replicating whatever picture of nail designs I show her and customizes them to my liking. Kim recommended I try builder gel for the first time instead of dipping powder which I always get. So far I love them! Jenny always says hi to me whenever she sees me even when getting nail service from someone else.
