I first came here at the end of July to get a repolish and file down my acrylic toenails because they were too thick. They turned out great and I was quite happy with the results. However, the second time I came back; which was yesterday; I got a full set for my hands and told her I wanted it short just like the picture I provided her. But it was still too long and I asked her during the filing process that I wanted them shorter but she seemed to be rushed and even nicked me several times. She said sorry but I felt like she was careless and now it hurts. I know they don't change out their tools at every visit because I saw her get tools from a box that said soiled on it. I also tried to engage in conversation with her but she just kept talking back and forth her with her coworker in her language even though she could speak English; I just felt so uncomfortable. I was supposed to come back next week to get a pedicure with my daughter for her birthday but I honestly don't think I want to.

This is my fav nail salon. I have tried many nail techs there, and they all did a great job. I had my nails done by Trinh for my wedding, ans again for EDC. She did an amazing job. She is very attentive and patient. She loves making her customers happy. Im very glad I found this place
This salon is my go to!! The last time I went I got a pedicure and she did a great job! They also got new massage chairs and they're so comfy! I always do dip powder, which I really love because it helps keep my nails strong and helps it grow! Kim did my most recent nails and she did such an amazing job!!
Giang is amazing & her work deserves recognition so I wanted to leave a review for her! I discovered this shop last year & haven't been to another salon since. The shop is very clean and even has phone holders while you get your service done. Her shape is amazing & the way she does designs truly amazes me. I highly recommend this business.
Trinh(acrylic), Han(pedicure/acrylic), and Lan(manicure/pedicure) are AMAZING. I love this nail salon because the workers are friendly, actually try their best to accommodate/satisfy nicely, and don't force conversations. A very relaxing place to get nail services done.

Lyly is amazing and always pays close attention and takes her time to make sure you like your nails. She won't rush you at all. If I show her a picture of what I want, she matches it 100%! I will continue to come here for dip powder nails! Making an appt is so easy and Trinh does an amazing job with the shaping!! I was in need of a pedicure badly, I had a terrible ingrown toe nail and Ann was a god send! If you have one, getting a pedicure done definitely helped! Don't try and dig it out on your own because it'll just be more painful. They are usually really busy, lots of people waiting! I would recommend going earlier in the day if you're in a rush!

DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU WANT YOUR NAILS TO LAST MORE THAN 1 full week. I tried to reach out to the spa, but because I was out of town for the holidays, I couldn't come back to fix it. All I wanted was a partial refund or even a response from them on ig. They post on social media regularly too. I've been coming to this nail salon in and out since 2018. So I've been pretty loyal! Unfortunately, my most recent visit was sooooo bad. I usually do gel x, every place I've gotten gel x nails, my retention has been amazing. Gel x nails last me 3+ weeks, sometimes more than a month. Even when I get a gel x set, the duration of the appointment is normally 1.5 hrs. Nope, this time my tech took 2 hours and 20 ish minutes. My sisters acrylic set took only 1 hour. On top of that, the tech made my nails so short even though I asked for long, and when making the design, she neglected the type of french tip I asked, and was rushing since the set was taking over two hours, and she got a call from her daughter as to when she'd be home... since the call, I noticed she was rushing my design and it came out SO sloppy. She even gave me a $10 discount cause she knew it wasn't what I really wanted. Now to top it ALL off, 3 days after I got my nails done, my index nail is already lifting and eventually pops off. This has NEVER happened to me with gel x nails. Then, a few days later, on the same hand next to my index, my middle finger nail is lifted off also. This is so disappointing because I came in on December 15, and 3 DAYS LATER on december 18, the first nails comes off, then the second a few days later. So my set didn't even last 1 WHOLE WEEK. I tried reaching out to the spa to resolve it but unfortunately they only told me to come in, but since I was out of town for so long, I couldn't. And once I got back to town, the holidays were already here. Family had to be hosted, work was still happening, so there was 0 time for me to drive back to this place. Even after constantly dming them on instagram with proof, til today, december 30th, they still haven't reached out, EVEN THOUGH they have been posting consistently. Please dont go here if you want quality work with no appointment. *UPDATE * they blocked me on instagram since trying to reach them. No thank you, this place isn't worth it! Go to pinko nails where they actually have consistent nail techs.
I would love to give chi Lyly 10 stars if I could . She is always meticulous and expertly done my nails for 5 years now . All the ladies working there are also super nice and friendly . Every time I go in for my nails done it feels like family to me. Mega Nails is always Clean, Warmth and welcoming!!!!!!!!! I always got tons of compliments about my nails how they look so natural beautiful and elegant. ....... The staff is nice and the price is reasonable, but my nail tech cut me multiple times. At one point I told her what she was doing to my cuticles hurt and she just replied "you have sensitive skin." Overall, a good salon, but not sure if I would return.

I stumbled upon Mega Nails, and it's such a hidden gem! I was looking for something affordable and nearby, and I decided to try them out. I got a basic gel pedicure, and they did exactly what I wanted--squared off the nails, painted them white, and really took their time with the details! My daughter came along for her first mani/pedi, and she absolutely LOVED her nails and toes. They really made her experience special. Mega Nails is definitely the place to go! read more

It's only been 10 days since I got my nails done and one of them is already starting to come off. Another nail actually fell off just a few days after I got them done. This has never happened with my go-to nail tech. My nails usually last 3-4 weeks without any issues, so I'm really disappointed with how quickly these started lifting and falling off....... read more

Dishonest nail salon. This is what I got & they charged me $140!!! I asked for deluxe pedicure which is $50 and a manicure w builder gel. I asked $140 for what she said $70 for toes $10 for gel and to remove, I didn't ask for any of that. They said they just assumed. & $85 for my nails. If they were honest upfront fine I can't be upset but to try to tack on all these prices after the fact is low integrity. Also they didn't even remove cuticles on toes and nails. I have hang nails and rough areas beside toenail bed. I also asked for jelly nail color and she just assumed I wanted pink without asking me to choose my color. I chose a green and when it came up she showed me and laughed. They went on to swatch all these jelly colors on my nails to show that they didn't show up & continued to laugh which I found extremely unprofessional, I had to pull out ChatGPT and take a pic of my nails and the color to ask which would be a good base. Which I felt should have been the techs job instead of laughing. I mean $85 for this? Even filing is uneven. BEWARE. They do have good quality gel though. I must say. read more

I called them to see if my friend and I could come in for a pedicure, and they said they were available! I told them I can be there in 10 mins and they said ok, see you soon. I got there and it was packed. They were NOT available right then, or even later! We stood in front for 10 minutes, all the workers completely ignoring us. No hello, no we will be right with you, nothing. 1000% purposely ignored as every chair in that establishment was taken. We left. We stood for 10 minutes waiting to be addressed and nothing. I hate salons that say "yes" and they're squeezing you in and rushing. If you don't have time then just say so. Wasted my damn time. read more

Amazing gel manicure from Trinh!! She was so sweet and made should i was satisfied with my nails. The shape and color is literally perfect! Looks like acrylic for a great price as well. My 2nd time here and I am hooked. This review is for Nail Artist Shelly! She did an amazing job with my nails. I went to another salon with my cousin but my gut feeling proved me right, they did me so bad and cut my skin. (See bear nails and ref pic). Shelly was careful with my nail removal and super attentive to details. She told me the difference between gel x and powder and also recommended which shape to do based on my daily life activities. We chose to do a cute holiday red theme nails and they are so so cute! This is only my second time doing nails like these (my prev botched nails do not count!) I did go to them earlier in the year but I don't remember who did my nails then. Attaching a picture of the first visit, it's a cat eye heart nail w bow charm :) Anyways, highly recommend this place. They are super busy Fridays - Sundays (my first set was on a Saturday, and there were many customers). However it's less busy and quiet Monday-Thursday. Walk ins are no problems during those days! Can't wait to come back for a new set once these grow out!! Trust your gut and go to Mega nails, no other place can do better than the Nail techs here read more

NORMALLY i would have nothing but nice things to say. I've been coming to mega for over 5 years and until yesterdays pedicure , and todays experience when I confronted mega today and explained what happened - they denied everything . I went in for a pedicure which I get every 3 weeks and the girl who worked on me was great until she started to keep picking at my cuticles which became painful and bleeding . After multiple times of me telling her it was painful she proceeded .i knew something wasn't right so i started to take pics while she was doing my pedicure . My pedicure was ok .. I paid tipped and left and was in pain the whole drive home . Fast forward to night time . My toe became so painful and throbbing - I couldn't even have the blankets touch it . I've never felt this pain and when I looked it was oozing blood. Hours later - blood turned to yellow/ greenish and it was painful to walk . I went to the emergency room where they soaked my feet and skin started to fall off . I received injection for pain and infection . Today I messaged mega and they denied any blood even when I showed pics . Kept asking me to face time , asked for post pictures which I sent . Then kept telling me nothing was wrong . Very disappointing , very unprofessional and it wasn't even about the 60$ I spent , you cannot treat people like that . I'm on day 3 still hard to walk and still bleeding . read more

I just moved to San Jose from SF and found this nail shop a few months ago. I've been back twice now and really have no reason to look anywhere else. They've done great work, from the shape to matching the inspo pictures to a T. Prices are also reasonable especially considering how perfect they come out in the end highly recommend! read more

Mega nails has been my go to nail spot recently! I used to go to Colors and K3 but their quality has decreased and prices have been too high recently. Both sets pictured were $60 which is really cheap considering these nails last me 5+ weeks! I've gone to two different techs and both were really careful and took their time with my set. We made appointments both times and got seated right away. They are also cash only so make sure you have enough before you go. read more
I've been coming here for the past 4-5 years. I have tried other nail salon but i still find myself coming back to Mega! I usually get a regular pedicure (~$33), acrylic (~$45+), or gel manicure (~$35+). I don't have a specific person i go to, all are great and pay very close to attention to details. my only compliant is appointment. i always make an appointment before i go but they either overbook or have a lot of walk ins and i usually have to wait at least 30 minutes. I think if you go early morning it will be less busy but i usually go after work so it always very busy. read more

I did a last minute appointment here at Mega Nails yesterday on November 6th at 2PM. As I arrived, I was seated right away. I had a set in mind so I showed my nail tech the photo. The nail tech, Co Ly when around to ask the pricing. And originally, they said $90 in Vietnamese. THEY DON'T KNOW I CAN SPEAK AND UNDERSTAND VIETNAMESE. While I was getting started on my nails, the other employee, it's a gay male. He was yelling from across the room to charge me MORE in Vietnamese. "Tell her $5 more dollars. Who cares, she's not gonna know anyways. Ask her the length and just charge her more!!!" Once she asked me the length, I RESPONDED BACK in Vietnamese. It was drop dead SILENCE. Because obviously, they didn't expect me to know Vietnamese. Like wtf? I'm sure they have done that MANY MANY TIMES to other people that don't understand Vietnamese. He could've simply said, "if her length was long, let her know there is an additional charge." But he literally was YELLING across the shop to charge me more; thinking I don't understand. First off cute lil shop, a lot of chairs for both pedi & mani. Second, very friendly & welcoming workers. A lot of the other customers were regulars which says a lot about a place. It was my sister and I's first time here and we agreed if we were satisfied with service we'd make this our go to shop! We showed them inspo pics and..... they EXECUTED IT! they did great! My techs name was Trinh (trim) My sisters tech was HUNG! I'm sure they're all great but I'll stick with Trinh as long as I go here! ALSO GOOD PRICE! read more
