The reviews do not lie I see why they have five stars lol stumbled upon their shop while doom scrolling last night and requested an appointment online for a fill and nail repair at 10:45am at like 2am lol to my surprise I woke up and got a confirmation and made my way over. First impression was damn this is where are the baddies go. I loved the atmosphere it was small but clean and professional. Got checked in immediately and was told they're running behind schedule so they asked if I wanted to do a pedicure while I wait, of course I fell for it honestly my girl did a good job. I do think for $80 it was not as exciting as I would hope but halfway I believe Dylan met me at my chair and got started on my fill. He asked what I wanted I showed him a video once and he was like I got it. He was right. They are quite pricey I will admit but well worth the money. I would reserve enough time for your visit tho because my session went from 10:45-1:20 read more

Had an appointment scheduled for 10am for a pedicure and gel removal and I arrived promptly and the nail tech I had made an appointment with was not there and was told someone else could help me. Overall, the appointment took over 2.5 hours, which I find ridiculous... The pedicure portion was fine and nothing really to write home about. The gel removal for my nails was an experience. The nail tech was cutting my nails with a nail clipper and I kid you not, my nails trimmings were being flown across the room and almost hitting customers who were seated and waiting for their appointments. And then the nail tech was asking me why I wasn't getting a new set almost in a disapproving way, and then just assumed I wanted a square nail shape when my nails were oval shape at the appointment. There is plenty of parking because the plaza is pretty inactive and there is ongoing construction at the big street in front, which was being blamed as the reason my original nail tech was running late. And then I come to find out from overhearing other conversations that this construction has been going on for a while so there was really no excuse to being late. So if you are looking for nail services to be punctual and mindful of time, I'd make sure to leave plenty of time for your appointment. read more

I'm so glad I found Sam and this salon! I was specifically looking for a nail artist who could do intricate designs on short notice, and most artists I found were booked out weeks in advance. Booking was so easy, and they have great availability, which is perfect since my schedule is always changing. Sam is incredibly talented and executed my nail design perfectly. He was also so fast!!! My entire appointment (removal, a new set, and a detailed design) only took about an hour and a half. I know many other salons would have taken 2-3 hours. The price was amazing too! My entire service was only $120, which is such a great value for the quality of work. I'll definitely be coming back and highly recommend Sam! read more

I've been looking for a place to get my refills closer to home and I've finally found a place I want to keep going to! I get nervous when getting my nails done at a new place because my nails/fingers can be sensitive, but Trini did such an amazing job and gave me a perfect builder gel refill with french tips. I got to choose my base + tip color, which was nice since some places already choose a base color for french. There was a wide variety of colors and everyone worked fast but Trini kept asking if I liked my nails throughout the process which was very considerate of her. I had such a great experience here for my first time! I found out about this nail salon through a friend. She showed me their instagram and I decided to give them a try because I haven't been too satisfied at my current salon :( Zen Pedicure with Lee - she was so sweet and very gentle! I got to choose the base color for my fenchies and she was patient with me when we were testing out different bases. It was a relaxing pedicure and she did great on my French! Builder Gel (complex set) with Dylan - Dylan was great! He nailed the inspo photo and even recommended great suggestions. I can't wait to try out more designs with him! read more

I came here to get a soak off for acrylic nails and Tiffanny was my nail tech. I called beforehand to see it they were available and they were able to take me in! She was working on a customer and asked me to wait which I didnt mind. I ended up waiting for maybe 20 minutes but was still provided with excellent service. I've been trying to find a new nail tech ever since my previous tech stepped away to focus on motherhood (which I fully support), and honestly it's been harder than I expected to find someone who is both incredibly skilled and efficient. Before coming here, I was used to appointments taking 3-4 sometimes 5 hours, especially with private nail techs. And at a lot of typical nail shops I've gone to in the past, they didn't really care about the health of my natural nails either. Once my friend recommended this place to me, I knew I had to give it a try. I mentally prepared myself for another super long appointment or a mid experience in general. But because the design I picked ended up being way more detailed than I originally realized ... Sam absolutely exceeded my expectations. He was attentive throughout the entire process, constantly checking in to make sure I liked the shape, color, and details every step of the way. Even with a more complex design, he still completed everything in around 2 hours, which honestly shocked me in the best way because the quality was still there. Beyond the nails themselves, I really loved the atmosphere here. Everyone seemed genuinely friendly, welcoming, and happy to be there, which made the experience feel comfortable and fun instead of stressful or rushed. Overall, I'm really happy with my set and definitely see myself coming back. I can't say enough good things about this nail salon. The owners, Sam and Dan, are wonderful, and honestly every nail tech here is kind, welcoming, and gives off such good energy. You can really feel that they care about their clients and the environment they've created. I'm pretty picky when it comes to nail art style and I hate spending too much time at the salon but Dan has completely changed that for me. He makes every appointment enjoyable, and I actually look forward to getting my nails done now. He always kills it on the designs I ask for, gives thoughtful input when I ask for advice, and works super efficiently without the service ever feeling rushed. My nails last so well too!! It lasts almost five weeks and even then, the worst I'll get is a tiny chip on the sides (which is mostly my fault because I'm really rough with my hands). The quality and attention to detail really speak for themselves. I have been coming to Sam Nail Bar since the beginning of this year after my coworker recommended Dan & Sam to me as I was looking for an alternative to gel-x. I like how they offer poly gel since I feel like not as many places that I know offer it at a reasonable price AND do amazing designs as well (it can be hard to find a place that does both ). They are also open every day now and are usually easy to book an appointment with and super accommodating. I love that they have a lot of techs, super busy on a Saturday morning but it's clear they know what they're doing! Super consistent quality across the techs the 4x I've been here- I was most happy with my nail technicians today. I've always jumped from nail salon to nail salon since I never found a nail tech that I really, really loved and that has finally changed! I've had a few sets done here so far and I've been so happy with them every single time. Both Dan and Sam have done my nails and they are so friendly, have great attention to detail, and are so artistic. I've been to this salon before and had a great experience with Dustin, who was professional and clearly experienced. This review is specifically about my experience today with Bonnie, and not the salon overall. I asked for a simple builder gel refill with plain white polish. From the start, she didn't really engage and checked her phone frequently, which felt like her attention was elsewhere and very unprofessional since I had no designs for reference. I also overheard her speaking in Vietnamese multiple times about being hungry and saying she might faint. That may have been an exaggeration, but it gave me the impression she was rushing through my set so she could go eat. I understand being a walk-in, but I still expect the same level of care as a scheduled appointment. It was also uncomfortable hearing her talk about the situation in another language while I was sitting right there. When I politely asked her to fix a small area with missing polish, she rolled her eyes and complained to her coworker instead of just explaining that she would be filing over that area anyways. There was also no cuticle care at all (cutting or oiling), and she left polish on my skin that I had to scrape off myself, which should be cleaned up before curing to avoid irritation. After leaving, I noticed bumps in my nails and a streaky topcoat with visible gaps. For such a simple set, the quality was disappointing. It felt rushed and careless. My cousin also had Bonnie previously and had a similar experience, including being hurt during filing. I really liked this salon the first time I came, but this visit was disappointing. read more

I got a manicure with cat eye and a gel pedicure here for the first time. The owner was really nice and the area was clean. Tiffany did my manicure and was super detail oriented, Kathy did my pedicure and did a pretty good job too. I was a bit bummed that one of my nails chipped after 4 days, but the rest stayed intact for the wedding I'm attending. Overall paid around 100$ plus tip. read more

Came in for a chrome pedicure and a cute Easter-inspired spring manicure, and had such a great experience. My nail tech was incredibly kind, talented, and attentive--I showed him what I wanted, and he brought it to life perfectly, even refining the design so it looked more cohesive and would last longer. We chatted the entire time, and I felt so comfortable with both him and the receptionist, who was just as warm and welcoming. The pricing is very reasonable, too. Highly recommend! read more

First and last time I'll be visiting. I booked here because the ratings are great, but it might…read morejust a good spot for manicures/acrylic only. I got my gel pedicure done yesterday, and already the polish fell off one of my toes.. I got nicked on the left side of the big toe, and I know that can happen sometimes. I didn't like the fact that I needed to ask for Neosporin to be applied. I feel like it's common sense to apply antibiotic on a cut before applying any polish, especially since the whole left side of the nail was trailed with blood. I do appreciate the owner I think, on helping me out on that. As of this morning, the cut was still bleeding, and I had to clean it again and wrap in bandage. Lastly, the application and work on the nails themselves were sloppy. I did ask for a correction, but I noticed the others still weren't even afterwards. At that point, I decided it was best to go to another salon afterwards since it was clear that the technician simply didn't have the skill set. As you can see in the photos - French tip smeared on a nail, tips in terms of length were uneven in thickness,a couple of toes were lop sided, and the gel polish wasn't evenly applied so the polish looked splotchy. Currently typing out this review as I'm getting it corrected in another salon. I don't have any interest in returning, even if a correction is offered. With the amount of positive ratings listed here, I think retraining should be done with technicians to make sure quality of services are equal for all. Left a 10% tip as a nod towards the woman who helped with the Neosporin.

Really disappointing customer service. Even if you find a nail tech you like, it seems like booking and management can be an issue. I'd recommend going somewhere else if you're looking for a more professional and consistent experience.

I was a first-time customer at Sam Nail Bar today and felt compelled to leave this review after witnessing a very unfair situation. I was at the back of the salon while my friend was at the very first table, and she could literally hear everything from start to finish. The salon was extremely busy. In fact, I had to be flexible and come in later than my original time just to help them manage their tight schedule. When the customer who left the 1-star review walked in, the staff explicitly told her they only had a gap for a gel pedicure. My friend at the front heard this clearly, and I heard the same from the back. Later, when she demanded acrylics and builder gel, the staff simply couldn't do it because they were fully booked. They were professional and remained polite despite the pressure. To claim "if you aren't Asian or white they won't treat you good." just because a busy business can't break their schedule for a walk-in is completely false and damaging. This salon treats everyone with respect and they value their clients' time. Please don't let one misleading review overshadow the hard work and honesty of this team! 1st of all, CONGRATULATIONS on your new nail bar! I have been coming to Sam's Nail Bar for almost a year now and was instantly hooked after the 1st appointment. Even my teenage son noticed the difference when I showed him my new nail set. These are his exact words: "Wow! Mom. This new place compares to your old place is like instant noodles versus a ramen shop." I personally think that is the highest compliment one can get from a kid's perspective. Fast forward to almost a year later, and they have never let me down, no matter what complicated design I've requested from them. Most over-the-top inspirations are pulled from social media. I love coming to Sam Nail Bar! They always take their time to make sure my nails turn out perfect. Every time I get my nails done, they last super long and still look fresh weeks later. The designs are always so cute and creative, just like the photos I show them sometimes even better!. I was looking for a place that does poly gel (since not many salons offer it), and luckily I found this one so close to my house. The service was perfect--quick but still detailed. I've been to many nail salons, so I can tell when a nail tech is good, and Dan did an amazing job. Poly gel is a much healthier option for your nails. The price is a little higher than acrylic, but definitely worth it. Once you try it, you won't want to go back to acrylic. I highly recommend Dan! read more

My friend Carissa recommended 408's nail shop and also recommended I have Hana do my pedicure. I went to their website and booked an appointment with Hana for a Paradise Pedicure. This is a spa pedicure with a collagen soak, exfoliating scrub, callus care, collagen mask, warm paraffin hot wax, six hot stones, and a soothing 15-minute massage. Finished with a warm towel wrap and your choice of polish. When I arrived, I was greeted by everyone lol, which was really nice. I signed in on their digital kiosk and then looked at a few nail color pallets to get an idea of what color I wanted. Once Hana was ready for me, she got me set up in a comfy pedicure chair and had my feet soak in the warm water. I chose the lemon scented food soak, scrub and lotion. It smelled so good. They offer you a variety of complimentary drinks. I chose the hot green tea. Hana even refilled it for me, which was so nice. My spa pedicure was very relaxing. Hana did an amazing job and I love the nail color I picked. Hana was so kind and very gentle with my feet. I was lucky enough to meet a new friend in the pedicure chair next to me that happened to be the mother of one of my Yelp friend's. It's a small world. The inside is spacious and very clean. I like how the pedicure chairs and manicure tables are organized and neat. I also met the manager, and she was really nice and welcoming. Thank you Carissa K. for the awesome recommendation. The white tips and gold lines were not crisp, the lines were uneven, and even when the tech tried fixing a few parts while I was in the chair, the lines still looked messy. It was not a complicated design or shape, so I was disappointed with how far off it was. I did not ask her to redo the entire set because there were only two people working, a party of two had just walked in for manicures and pedicures, and it was clear the whole situation was being rushed. I ended up going five minutes down the street to Bamboo Nail Spa, and they completely fixed my nails in about 45 minutes. The difference is obvious in the photos. I came back to show the original salon the comparison, and to their credit they were polite and gave me a $40 refund, which I appreciate. The staff was nice and the timing was decent, but the work itself was not worth the money for me, especially when there is another salon so close that does cleaner and more precise work.

We asked how long the wait might be because I didn't want my husband stuck sitting around unnecessarily, but no one could give us an answer. As we were preparing to leave, another employee arrived and the focus suddenly shifted to helping us while another customer was left waiting. By that point, the relaxing experience we had hoped for was already gone. The third employee who arrived also gave me attitude when asking about the manicures we had scheduled. I mentioned we could skip them if they were short-staffed, and her response came across as, "Do you want them or not?" because they would need to call additional employees in. If appointments are scheduled in advance, it seems reasonable to expect the salon to be prepared. This was our first visit and, unfortunately, it will be our last based on the experience alone. The woman who did my nails was very kind and did a good job -- she is the main reason I gave more than one star. Another disappointment was that my husband's manicure didn't even begin until both of my services were completely finished, despite us booking appointments together.
