Tried this place because it was close to home and had great reviews, but unfortunately my experience wasn't great. I came in for a basic pedicure and the technician didn't really follow my requests for trimming and shaping my toenails. She mostly just filed them, and now they look crooked and uneven. Paint job is a little horrendous. Communication was also difficult since she spoke very little English. The service felt rushed, and I was left waiting for my toes to dry without much guidance. Maybe they're better with manicures and nail art, but I'll probably go back to my usual salon for pedicures. read more

Absolutely loved my nails! Went in to get my two broken nails fix but decided to get a brand new full-set of GelX because why not ! My nail tech Sam (manager) was wonderful. Nailtones staff was friendly and the building inside was updated and clean inside. However, after everything was done, I was a little sticker shocked. I had gel nail refill and 1 nail was a fake because it had broken and fell off. I ended up paying close to $70 before tip. Maybe I'm old but I don't remember it costing that much. There was nothing fancy about it. Just one regular solid gel color and a new nail. To their credit, the fake nail fell off two days later and I called right away and they fixed it for free. Something I liked also was they use liners for their pedicures, which should be standard practice but I don't always see it in other places. In the end, it's my fault for not asking for the price ahead of time, not theres. I'd stop by if that part doesn't bother you. read more

My previous nail tech moved to a salon that's too far for me and referred me to Sam at Nailtones instead. I've been seeing Sam for the past few months and every time I leave completely satisfied. When I was in between nail techs, I went to a different establishment where they told me that my nails weren't suitable for builder gel and I was 100% going to settle on doing an acrylic overlay. However, Sam told me that it was possible, it however does take a bit more time. I've gotten builder gel every time and the retention is crazy! I only come once a month once my nails are too long for me to handle. Sam is meticulous at her craft and incredibly sweet. She helped me achieve the Japan trip nails of my dreams! 10/10 would recommend. read more

There was no one at the front desk so it took a long time before I was greeted and asked what services I need. The manicure was okay she used some various drill bits and tried to be gentle but did hit the sides of my nails twice which was a bit painful, but the price was not transparent and not worth imho for what I had done. Usually for manicure services would include removal with service but ended up having to pay more for a basic manicure with no polish and removal as an extra add on? which is typically included in other salons. I ended up asking for clear polish in the end as my basic manicure wo had ended up being more pricier than expected.. the aesthetics of the salon itself seem pretty clean and bright, and there were a few ladies getting pedicures. not sure if I just came in at the wrong time or if the pricing model is just different here.. read more

I have been getting my nails done for about 20 years and never have I had an acrylic at last more a couple weeks (max) at a time. That was until I met Sam. Okay so apparently I reviewed the wrong nail salon because I didn't know it had switched owners/name but omg I am absolutely OBSESSED!!! I came here on New Year's Eve. I was a little nervous because I needed to get my nails done ASAP, but I've had a hard time finding a place that would be able to Match the ins pos I've brought in. I wanted to start the new year with beautiful nails! I called This place the same day just earlier in the day and Sam was able to squeeze me in at the end of the day. I showed up to my appointment and I was worried because when I walked in there was only one other employee their closing up. Sam then came out while she was cleaning and immediately ask me if I had called & made an appointment with her! I was so RELIEVED!! My appointment was at 6pm on a short day bc it was like I said NEW YEARS EVE!! I didn't know what to expect but as soon as she got started I knew she would be GREAT! She took her time with me. She made sure I was okay with the size and the shape of my nails. I was in between colors and she was so patient with me and did one nail first to make sure I liked the color before she continued. I don't remember my technician's name, but she did an amazing job on my pedicure--everything was so clean and well done. She was also really sweet and made the experience even better.
