Was intrigued to come here from their IG. Even though their IG says you need to make a reservation - there was no one else there when my friend and I were there lol. They do take Venmo as well if you forget to bring cash. I like the shape and thickness of my nails, especially considering the price ($50 for a full set) which is not bad at all.
Holly is an expert with nails and art. Always amazes me with her talent. The pedicures are fantastic too, never rushed. I am very picky about my nails and here they never disappoint!!! Great work ladies
If you need a nail tech that understands your needs & wants, then look no further because holly will be your next & last girl! Not only does she pay attention to details but she's also very quick! Honestly this experience was really frustrating. I booked with one nail tech specifically. She was the reason I found and went to the salon. I didn't get her for my design the first time because she took a walk in, but the tech i had was able to do my nails really well. This time i made sure she was booked for my nails and design. I get a text before my appointment asking to reschedule to later, i couldn't, they said it was fine. I get there and there are people in the middle of getting their nails done so I wait. Someone else started my nails but the tech i booked with, tech #1, took my design picture. I figure that tech #2 i'm with will do the prep, and I will go with Tech #1 once she finishes the girls nails she's currently doing. After 50 minutes and 5 rounds of my natural nails being drilled down, a girl shows up for a 6:30 appointment. The tech i was booked with--Takes her. Another hour goes by, that girl finishes her nice long full set acrylics while I still have 4 nails left. i feel bad because I know the tech i had was trying extremely hard, and I truly appreciate the effort. But being in there two hours to not get the service by the person I scheduled with, or get the design i wanted at all, is unacceptable. A french tip, builder gel fill has never taken 2+ hours to do. I ultimately gave up on my design because I was exhausted with being there and still having so many nails unfinished. It was at that point the tech I was originally booked with offered, with a drill in hand, to fix them since she was now done. No. I couldn't be there any longer, that's why i made an appointment and booked someone specific. I paid the slightly discounted price ($50) and left. I don't want them fixed, they're brittle now from the filing and being soaked in acetone in-between each round. They're bending despite now being short, when they weren't bending at all previously. The almond shape I had that matches the design pic, is basically gone. I just want to share so people are aware that booking means nothing and not everyone is trained equally.

Two words: nail fungus. The reason I know it's Paradise Nails is because the fungus came from the glitter they applied to my nails - when I filed my nails off, you could clearly see the fungus surrounding a large piece of glitter. This, and given that it was the last nail salon I went to and haven't reapplied or filled my acrylics is how I know it was Paradise Nails. Holly did a mediocre application as well, I had some lifting on a couple nails which thankfully didn't contract fungus.
I'll start off by saying that Holly is one of the best. She is extremely talented! I've been coming here since before they went under new management, and I was NOT disappointed when it switched over and Holly began doing my nails. I love the detail she puts into her hand drawing, and the added care she takes. Come by, you won't regret it :) I will say you may be waiting a bit for your appointment because sometimes another persons it may run over, but that happens at other salons too.
I asked for matte black mani/pedi. They said no problem and got to work. 1) after my pedi was done I looked down and she had put a shiny top coat on. When I inquired again about wanting the matte top coat, she said they didn't have matte for regular polish. I don't know why this wasn't told to me up front, I would have changed my polish colors if I had known. 2) they let me walk out with a gel manicure that was completely wrinkled in texture?! And this was after she tried to fix it twice, completely removing all the gel and filing/shaving my poor nail beds down until they were incredibly brittle. I pointed out the fact that it was still not even close to smooth but they did nothing. It might have been bad product? Or mis matched brands? In any case, incredibly unhappy customer. Paid full price and tipped.
5 stars!!! I finally found a real nail artist. This place does amazing nails. I'm very happy I found them. This is my go to now. Yay!

Stopped by for a same day gel pedicure! I called to make sure that they could take me and they were happy to have me come in right away. I arrived and the shop was small but well kept. They have a tv constantly playing relaxing spa sounds and the massage chairs at the pedicure stations were fantastic. They were some of the biggest massage chairs I've sat in at a nail salon! I got the basic gel pedicure which included the cutest little soap flowers for my foot soak! It also included a sugar foot scrub and foot massage. I'll definitely have to come back for another quiet pedicure experience! read more
My go-to spot when I'm back in San Jose. This place is clean and cozy. I've been coming here since 2019. Since then, they've changed ownership and I've lost contact with my original nail tech, but stuck around for Holly. Holly is THE BEST. She will never do you wrong. She is meticulous about her work and I always leave satisfied. She takes her time, is gentle, and is very talented with her designs/art. I always leave happy and she is reasonably priced. My new favorite place! The new management is amazing! This is my set that I got, and how it looks just over 5 weeks! ( I know super long and my nails grow slowly lol ) I am AMAZED about how great the quality of these nails are! Usually by now I would have lost or broke a couple but all my nails are still on, and NO LIFTING !!! You can see the quality in these nails. And Holly really took her time. I'm so happy to find a place that really cares for their clients! She designed my nails just how I asked for, perfect shape, perfect color, perfect everything! The best place to get your nails done !! I've been going here for about 2 years now & I love it !! I first found paradise nails on IG and fell in love with the way their acrylic nail sets match all the current trends. I want to specifically thank Holly for always being such an amazing nail tech. Like anyone else, love getting my nails done! This is my go-to place. They are always keeping up with trendy nails and definitely shows in their work. Love all nail technicians but Jenny is my favorite! The only thing is it can be a little bit pricy tho depending on your design so make sure you ask before getting them done. p.s book your appointments ahead of time because they are always popping! Paradise Nails is a small shop easily located on the corner of Branham Lane, and Almaden Expressway. Is very clean, and well-lighted with 6 comfortable pedicure chairs, 4-nail salon stations, and music while you relax. Prices are comparable to other salons This was my first visit, and I was very pleased with the service, results, and attention to detail. With a broad selection of nail polish colors to please a range of choices. I had a pedicure while my wife had the pedicure and her nails done. We all know it's hard to find a nail salon that is consistent with their work. I finally felt that we found that in Paradise Nails. I first off want to say that over all my experience with this salon has been fine and I've always came back. But after this last time of going in I won't be coming back and it's very disappointing since it was less about their work and more about their customer service. My friend and I are regulars at this salon and always come in together to get our nails done. This past weekend, my friend asked for an almond shaped set with a cute little Santa hat design. Unfortunately, she didn't even get to the design part. Her nails and fingers were horribly mistreated that almost every nail was cut underneath due to the harsh handling from the technician. There was actual blood. That is not normal. The tech was so rough on her nails that my friend decided to skip the design and just wanted to get the basic set done with. She paid for her set in full plus gave her a tip because that is the nice person that she is. As soon as we stepped out into the sun and looked at her nails, not only did we see the damage underneath, but we also noticed just how bad of a job she did. Shapes and lengths were all inconsistent, there were jagged edges, and the acrylic itself was bumpy all around. We didn't even leave the parking lot. We went back in and asked to speak with Someone when they had a second. We weren't looking to make a scene, we just wanted to get this corrected. We spoke with one of the front desk girls and told her what we see wrong with the nails, and we were told that my friend could have them fixed at no charge. She scheduled an appointment with Holly next day at 1:00. I wish this was the end of it but sadly it's not. We were told about 40 minutes before the rescheduled appointment that Holly was running late and if we could reschedule the appointment to 1:30. Not a problem. We thanked them for the heads up, and adjusted our schedule. We arrive at the salon for the appointment and Holly was still attending to her appointment. Fine. We can wait a couple extra minutes right? It was now nearing 2:00 and that appointment was no where near done. Finally, after talking it over, my friend decided that she just wanted to get them off and get out of there. We didn't have more time to sit and wait for them to be fixed. We talked with the front desk girl and let her know of her decision, and reminded her that the nails were paid in full. She went to talk to Holly, and came back with a counter offer of 50% off. We pointed out the fact that she asking for them to be removed now because they are that bad. They go back, talk again, and then she comes to us with the same lame offer. At this point, it was insulting. We reminded her that her fingers were cut and that she was bleeding yesterday. That triggered something to click because they finally conceded to paying back the full amount. And when the girl delivered the news? She decided to add in that these types of things happen sometimes. They refused to pay the tip that was paid which is comical. At that point we let them know that we were no longer interested In getting the set removed and just wasn't going to come back. Again, I'm really disappointed because we genuinely liked this salon. But it's not right how they handled this customer service issue. Everyone who gets their nails done regularly know what is normal, and the extent of damage that was received was not normal. You should never tell a client that sort of treatment is the standard. read more

Worst place I've ever been too the lady was nice I'll give her that but I realize now she was being nice probably because she knew her work was HORRIBLE and it was way overpriced for what I got done it did not even look like the picture I showed and they could clearly see the mess she made on my nails and still went ahead and charged me 95 dollars for it . Never going back next time get someone who can actually do the designs and has some kind of talent . The photo is what I wanted VS what I got and the nails on my left are shorter than the ones on my right . Also I have a dent on a nail from where she did not fill in even after telling her it needed more acrylic. The color was also way off the nails she did were darker and had almost no white in it which was what I was clearly going for as you can see in the picture I showed . read more

They do a really good job! Second time coming back and took my sister but it's really pricey. Both of us went to get a fill only with no appointment, they helped us out with no problem on a Saturday. I like their work but I don't think I'll go back to get a fill for $50. They charged my sister $43. I could've of gotten a brand new set anywhere else. read more

UPDATE: yesterday two of my nails broke off and I got very upset and I was contacted by the place and was offered to get my nails fixed, I said that was fine. But today another nail came off after I dried it with a paper towel, I got super upset and just asked for a refund or to get a brand new set of acrylics because if three already broke off easy it's obvious the other nails will pop off as well. I called again to get a refund or to get a brand new set, but they said since you're a new customer we only can do it for free after 3 days and since it's already been nearly two weeks then no we can not give a refund or give you a new set we can only fix the ones that are broken. So if my other nails break will you fix all of them? I am super pissed with how my nails are breaking off at ease! And how the place will not want to give me a refund or to give me a full set for free. Just look at the pictures! I go to another place and I'll have my nails for over 2 months and the nails don't break for a much cheaper price! I wasted $115 on this place and never again! Everyone else just read this review and worn your friends and family! I'm already telling everyone about how horrible this place is and how cheap their Powder is! I got another nail that's cracking right now! Also they make you use Venmo just so it'll be harder for you to get your money back so don't pay them with Venmo! They are so desperate to have 5 star reviews that they decided to txt me at 8pm changing their minds when I told other people about their establishment and how poorly they treated me!! This could've been all fixed at 5pm when I told you guys what happened with my nails! Also their coworkers clicked funny about my review, their names are Tho D and Thu D, might be the same person trying to say it's funny? How would nails breaking off super easy be funny? Let me just say this, before I found this salon I was trying to find a nail technician/artist/ beautyfier (not a word but I'm using it!) that could get the shape just right, the length just right, and of course be able to create some really cool art! So, the first thing I did was research. I found a couple different places locally (Santa Cruz area). To my dismay I couldn't find THEE salon. With many unhappy sets and fills that felt like I was wasting money to be unhappy. I decided to look further. Finding myself looking at places 35-45 min away-specifically San Jose area. I stumbled across Paradise nails. I checked out the reviews on Facebook. I looked at yelp and doubled down on more reviews. To see if it would be worth my time and money. IT WAS! Let me just say I was so impressed by the artwork on the sets done at this salon! I was in heaven! I decided to take the chance and commute. This has been the best decision for my nail health, look, and feel! I've been going to them since the first time in August of 2022! I had some of my most favorite sets done at this salon ever. I highly recommend this salon they are professional, extremely friendly, very caring, and pay so much attention to their work (and even their clients). I came to get my nails done for the first time during covid-19 and they did not disappoint! My mom, me, and my best friend came and loved the setup and the end results. they have tents outside of their building as well as dividers and everyone is wearing masks. for the three of us to get our nails done at the same time it took about 1 hour and the artists are very talented! they even did a mini photoshoot for our nails! read more
