So I found this salon on another review on Yelp about a different salon that was given a low…read morereview. In this young lady's review she had mentioned she had found a wonderful salon, who had done an amazing job on her nails. So I sent her a message on Yelp and asked her what salon she was talking about. She's the one who told me about Vena nails! This is the one! This is the fantastic salon that other's rave about on Google review. Because yelp review was the first one that I looked at, I felt compelled to come back and add a review since they only had one person put a review 1 year ago. They are an appointment only salon, which I like. When I walked in the door a man smiled and welcomed me in, and then a woman. Both very welcoming.. who I found out later are a husband and wife team who owns the salon. The husband started working on my hands first. And then I met his wife Lin. I showed a picture of what I wanted to Lin and told her how I had gone to 4 other salons in the area. No one had done a great job or even a good job for that matter. She made a point of taking her time to listen. Both her and her husband made me feel like they actually wanted my business! None of the other salons seem to care less either way. Its important to me that I found a place that I felt welcomed and that they appreciated my business. I found it here at Vena Nails. So she went to work putting a full new set on. She mixed a special powder for me because I like fine glitter on my nails. After it was all said and done. She took one hour to remove the old nails and put a new beautiful set on!!! ( that's amazing time) First shop in town that has met my complete satisfaction! I am very pleased with her work! She gave me the exact length, shape and thinness that I like my nails. And she's not extreme with her prices, like the other shops have been. I'm from California and a full set in Northern California runs about $ 50.00 a full $30-40 ( not counting any extra nail art) I've been paying like $50.00 plus they charge $15.00 for the gel polish here on the East Coast!! (I had never heard of such a thing, charging extra for gel polish) And I'm sure most people know how expensive California can be. Lin and her husband are reasonably priced. I appreciated that too! But also when I declined it she made us feel uncomfortable in the sense of rolling her eyes and then talking to her coworker.
